Just pray to God about it to reveal to you the true church where you can serve and worship him in truth and in spirit. Believe me I did it and lead me to a place that today, since 2003 till now, I can't just stop loving going to church and doing his will. It is a joy forever. Try it bro

Thanks to all of you who replied. I have never been the one for blind-belief in man be he a pastor or whatever. I believe in God and I believe in the teachings of Jesus which I feel a lot of people overlook in preference to Paul's more conservative Books.

Personally, I don't like all the focus churches have on miracles and demons and all the pseudo-african spirituality that has leaked into Christianity. I simply want a place where I can go and sing and dance and commune with God and learn more of his Word and the world. I swear seeing those "miracles" just puts me off the entire service but I can't even talk about my reservations with some of my friends because they believe everything they see. Like the glasses thing: the girl wasn't even squinting when he took off her glasses and they were half-an-inch thick. It's the little details that tell the truth, I find.

So, what churches do you think I'd like best?

OP, I understand you. It's even possible you've a discerning spirit. I've been in your in your shoes, not once, not twice, not thrice. When it comes to sensing that something is wrong I've that specialty and I was then just a church goer.

As a lot of people has advised tell God to lead you to his Church. When God leads and you listened it will be the beginning of your spiritual journey.

And because you're sensitive, when you get to the place, everything within you will glorify God without you opening your mouth.

Changing churches may not solve the problem. You are the best person to find out the Truth for yourself; no one will do it for you

Get the English translation of the Quran and read. It will help you a lot.

Pray, pray and more pray sir. God knows the sincerity of your heart and will most definitely guide you to the right church. With all of the tons of churches that I'm hearing are in Nigeria....not all of them can be "showy, and extravagant". There have to be some small or modest churches without all of the entertainment where you can focus on God and His Word.
God will lead you.

Yes, your relationship with GOD is unique, and it's more important than the church you attend.

We can never outgrow the Bible, and the Gospel of Christ will help you know more of who you are and your role in the scheme of things...

And these issues matter more than the local assembly you attend.

I go to The Lord's Chosen and I highly recommend it because of the preaching of Righteousness and Holiness. Preparing believers for the Rapture. If you want a place where you will be convicted of your sins and keep perfecting holiness in the Fear of God, then The Lord's Chosen is your calling.

Miracles happen in The Lord's Chosen which is good because without miracles many would not believe. In the ministry of Jesus, the majority followed him only when they saw the miracles. And they exclaimed 'Is this the prophesied MESSIAH'. Also the ministry of the Apostles were highly successful because of the miracles they performed. Nevertheless, SALVATION remains the greatest miracle and emphasis in The Lord's Chosen.

The order is for us to meet in smaller groups and most importantly we've been ordered to stop going to knock on the doors of strangers. We can only visit our Bible studies now!

Sooner the Kingdom Halls will be closed as we've been foretold several years back, so i don't think the time left now could ever be sufficient again to help all those who have been ignoring Jehovah's Witnesses!
