Good day house, please my co-sponsor is using a corporate account that bears her name, because her savings account doesn't have inflows like her business account. She will be transferring my tuition from the account to my savings account.
Please is this going to be a problem?

Style 1: Transfer tuition + partial upkeep at least into your account. You pay tuition from it and mention the whole scene in SOP/LOE. She give you LoSupport, AofSupport, and SoAcc mention her transfer to your account and willingness to do more.

Style 2: she pays tuition from her account and transfer partial up keep to your account with LoS, AofS, and statement of account. You mention the whole movie in your LOE or SOP.

I hope your previous education is closely related to your new program, while new is higher than previous. Shalom!

Hello house, am down and scared after going through posts stating here that there must be academic progression. I dropped my CIC TRV /STUDY permit app few days before I got to know about this forum. I am a graduate of industrial chemistry 2.2 with G.P.A 3.25. Having worked as QC officer in the manufacturing sector for about a year I saw the need to develop myself in process control. I applied to NBCC diploma program for PROCESS CONTROL but hope to do a master after the diploma program . my TRV application Completed with the following doc: affidavit of sponsorship, offer letter, statement of account, sponsorship letter, tax clearance, landed properties, BSc cert, waec, LOE stating career path, current employment letter, work ID,Full tuition payment receipt. Please can someone tell me something?

No amount of worry can change your app. Wish yourself well and worry less.

Austinpee4:

Bearing her name does not in any way mean you have access to the funds therein. The major thing if you do not intend to have the co-sponsor pay your tuition before applying is that funds MUST be accessible by you the applicant. This is also why a 3rd party/co-sponsor will have to do more than just writting or stating in a letter of sponsorship. Some level of commitment must be seen to the applicant in support of what ever he/she have written down.

So deduce the possibility of you having sufficient funds from that premise because officers most likely will be more interested in funds that the applicant have access to than that which the sponsor/co-sponsor do.

Transfering the tuition to you is good and will be irrespective of which account it is coming from as long as the source of the cash will be proven. Once that is done, she only needs to just print both acounts and add.

Okay, thanks!

Sent you a PM.

Hello respected housemates,

Please I need an answer to my curiosity, I applied to the University of Saskatchewan sometimes last year October with all requirements fully completed, but I am surprised I'm yet to hear from them. Getting nervous.

My program is scheduled to start by September fall 2017, till now the Graduate administrator told me I would be inform on the admission outcome as soon as the committee sit.

I will be glad to know if there's anyone with experience of what I'm currently passing through. I'm concerned with the visa processing time. And funding is one big obstacle ahead.

Thanks as you respond.

You'll be hearing from them soon. Most Canadian institutions implicity or explicitly forwarded their applications deadline which delayed the timeline this year.
My schools were explicit about it, but some institutions weren't. I remember one guy posted here some time ago that it was his potential supervisor that informed him. That was either USask or MUN. Can't remember exactly right now.

But starting last week all institutions have started officially making decisions so you'll hear from them soon.

since you have already submitted and fortunately you added LOE stating career path, all you can do is remain positive that your application will be approved.

I am inexperienced ooo. I feel it would be better to wait till the beginning of your own session which is fall (September) before you begin to collect your own portion.

I liken you to someone who is getting married by September and had already done introduction in February but his already sleeping with the proposed wife from March. he is going to have this wife till "death do us part oooo". I think you may inform him that you have your visa but not request for funds.

Hello People..I used an acceptance letter for a PGC in Ontario to process my study permit for May 2017. It was initially for Jan 2017 but i had to defer when my application was denied. However, i got another admission (still PGC) in Calgary for August 2017 which is preferable cos i have family ties there and settling in will be a lot easier for me. My question... is it possible to change DLI with CIC. I have made a deposit of 7000CAD already. Whats the possibility of getting a refund if i change. I am considering this with the expectations that my application will be granted and i can use the money to offset part of my tuition in the Calgary. Please i need advise from the experts in the house to guide my steps towards achieving this.

My first question, why would you want to tell your supervisor you've gotten visa? What do you expect him to do about that?

And secondly what do you mean by "ask for funding"? Do you mean you want him to tell you the details of your funding or for him to send you the money now?

If you mean you want the money now, just don't bring that up. He will definitely not give you any money, and will make you seem really dubious and spoil your relationship before it even starts. Also, funding is usually payment for a service, teaching assistanship or research assistanship. Why would he pay you before you've started rendering this service?

I only ask for supervision. That is the reason why am seeking advice if I can actually ask him if he has funding?

hope you get my question now.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by penitential(m): 10:35am On Mar 13, 2017
Firstly, having a U.S B1/B2 valid visa does not guarantee you Canada study permit. Infact, I've seen people with super-rich travel history to U.S.A, U.K, even Canada visiting visa...and latter applied for Canada study visa but still denied.

The first thing you should do is for you to list your profile information and lets see your chances of admission and possibly TRV.

Tell the course you're going for.
The program (Master's, PGC/D, PhD. .)
Your undergraduate program.
How many years of work experience.
Do you plan to use a sponsor or yiu want to sponsor yourself?
If using sponsor, how's he/she related to you?
What have you been since since your UG program?
Do you have any study gap?

IMO, I don't think its a bad idea asking your supervisor if he has funding, only if he has agreed to supervise you. There's a way around it, you don't need to ask him directly, instead, tell him formally that you want to inquire about his research funding, whether readily available or in future. This will ensure you don't go there empty handed thinking funding is available for your proposed research course. Also note that some supervisors don't get full research funding. BTW, you mean your offer letter didn't come with funding letter?
