* Continues* “There’s something I want to tell you,” His words played over and over in my mind as I walked back home. What does he want to tell me? I thought. Should I tell Daddy that Father Kenneth asked me to call him? In my young mind I had a feeling that something wasn’t right but I was also curious to know what he wanted to tell me. Or maybe he had a spiritual revelation about me, I thought. There was no one at home so I let myself in and made lunch for myself. My mind kept wandering back to my brief conversation with Father Kenneth. Unable to bear the suspense anymore, I walked towards the telephone and made to dial the number but on a second thought I dropped it back. “Call him, he’s a family friend. He will not harm you so what are you afraid of?” a voice whispered in my head. “Don’t call him!” another voice screamed. I ignored both voices and dialed the number. I didn’t have a GSM Phone of my own then so I had to make use of the home telephone. After the second ring he picked up. “H…hello sir,” “Lisa.” He said. “Sir,” I replied. “How are you?” He asked. “I’ m fine sir…” “What day is tomorrow.” He asked. “Monday Sir,” I replied, wondering why he asked. “Will you be free to see me tomorrow?” “I…” “There’s a hotel called Jasmine Palace. Do you know it?” The name of the hotel sounded very familiar but I wasn’t sure if I knew the exact place it was located. It was a popular hotel and I have also heard people made mention of before. “I will give you the directions to it if you don’t know it.” He said and then described how i will get there. “Oh okay, I know it now sir.” “Smart girl. So will you be free to see me there tomorrow? Maybe after school. Is 3.pm fine?” I was very nervous now. A strange feeling of unease sneaked up on me and I was suddenly scared. But he said he wanted to tell me something, I thought again. I shook my head, wondering why I was suddenly nervous. Father Kenneth was a man of God and he would never hurt me. “Ok sir,” I replied, still feeling nervous. “See you then,” He said and disconnected. I would have loved to read this but I cant shake the feelibg that the priest will damage the 14 years old girl and so I stopped reading. I'm sure it will be a nice story. I'll follow the other stories though ...m'Lady. *peaceffully walks out of thread promising never to return* 3 Likes |
