searchng4love: That's why the name is called Hausa/Fulani because of the intermarriage. But majority of the Fulani cannot speak Fulani rather Hausa. The emir of Kano is Fulani but what Hausa. Whichever the case, are you fair, handsome and more beautiful than them. 1 Like |

arewafederation: Nobody is saying it's okay to continue the trend. The Ife people wouldn't have engaged the hausas unprovoked. They know better than to visit chaos on their land. What may seem like a celebration of the massacre of the hausas in Ile Ife isn't it. Were there celebrations? No. Were people happy that for once the oppressor has been served a taste of his own medicine? Yes. For far too long, the hausa/fulani have been made to feel larger than life. They could get away with anything. This made people furious and some have vowed to fight the order. When it eventually goes down, you do not blame the retaliators because when you have had it up to the mouth, throwing up becomes your surest bet. The OP didn't raise any questions worth debunking. S/he is just being the first to venture into a new endeavor of wailing and incitement of confusion. I expect well meaning hausa leaders to engage their people more and reorient them on matters of peaceful coexistence. In the history of conflicts involving the hausas all over Nigeria, they have been the aggressors 95% of the time or more. This means that if they changed, we could finally have peace. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

arewafederation: Brother, I live in Jos. I know for a fact that almost all the the Crisis on the Plateau were caused by the settlers hausas. Hausas are not indigenous to Plateau State, but they've constituted themselves into nuisances fighting the indigenes every chance they get. Over what? Their lands and religion. Witness accounts of most incidences fault the hausa man. So if I'm not sure about the others, don't you think the ones I'm certain of will influence my believe of external accounts? If everyone points accusing fingers at you, then you are guilty for sure. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

malton: I slightly disagree with you on the Jos issue because everyone resident in Jos at that period knows the genesis of the crisis which was the Jos North Lg elections... My point is, most attrosities commited against the hausas are always under reported but whenever its the hausas, the incidence is exagerated. I have no info on the cause of the Ife massacre, but the reports emanating hardly talk of the real casualties but instead portraying the Yorubas as the main victims as the case of FFK. My point here is, lets avoid misrepresenting facts because doing so will always creat a wound that will never heal. 1 Like 1 Share |

EazyMoh:In as much as am not in support in what happened in ife ( never will I support such injustice n wickedness) but let me ask you this, how many times have u been this vocal when ur northern brothers kill southerners going about their business for issues far less Dan d one dat happened in ife? How many times has ur various governments compensate the victims? We all know how volatile the north is dat issues in far away Paris can lead to the killing of Christians in Sokoto. The 2011 post election crisis in the north r still fresh on our minds, we know how ur brothers killed youth corpers with reckless abandon even going to d extent of breaching police stations where some of dem went to hide for safety. The reason am saying all these is the way u n ur brothers here are claiming victims for just this singular event or is it because u people r not used to be on the receiving end? What they did was give u a taste of ur own medicine. You try to be violent here u will be met with equal measure of violence. Your people kill southerners in ur states n get away with it but trying to do dat in the south is asking for trouble. Have u condemned the death of the woman preacher that was killed in Abuja? How about the other woman from imo state dat was also killed in kano? But now u r here threatening fire n brimstone. At least the yorubas in ife didn't just start killing ur people for no reason but can we say d same for d killings in kano n other northern states? 9 Likes 1 Share |

arewafederation: I have closely followed the issues on the Plateau because it is my state of origin. If you'll be honest with yourself, do you see Plateau indigenes visiting chaos in Katsina over the governor's refusal to have one of them become chairman in his state? Are you not aware that the hausa people resident in Jos North are originally from Bauchi State? Why then must the governor have them rule a place they are not indigenes of? Alas, they flared up wreaking havoc in the city upon Jang's insistence that they must not be allowed to rule over his people. And why must violence be a first resort? About FFK's account, I'd heard similar accounts from over five different sources even before FFK wrote his piece. So, it's evident enough that his piece is nothing other than the truth. Even if I did not know about those other accounts prior, given the hausa man's tendency to spark off at any moment, his recollections cannot be further from the truth. Because it's something they are capable of. I doubt if this is a misrepresentation of fact. What I see is an attempt by revisionists to have the truth revised. I appreciate your perspective, but the truth has to be said. 1 Like 2 Shares |

tifany89:I always condemn acts of violence wherever and whenever they happened. In almost all isolated cases of violence states governments in the north always compensate the victims. I am aware Isah Yuguda rebuilt several churches, and paid compensations to all the families of corp members who lost their lives in those crisis. He also gave scholarships to some of their family members. I know this because I was in Bauchi when it all happened. The point/difference is that NOBODY from the north tries to justify the killings to the extent of blaming the victims for example the corper members. Certainly nobody was peddling blatant lies that may be the corpers beheaded a Hausa girl and we're parading her head on a spike! The killings may be forgivable, but the lies certainly not! Also every occurrence of crisis shall be treated as isolated cases. Just like you pointed out it is wrong for northerners to attack their neighbors for something that happen in far away land, it is equally wrong to use killing of corpers to justify massacre of innocent traders in Ife just because they are of the same tribe. Do that and you no different than the uneducated thugs in the north you are condemning. Unless you are trying to tell me you are using them as role models. 1 Like 1 Share |

FriendNG: What a rubbish! We beg Hausa and Fulani herdsmen in the name of God to stop running to police and army for protection. what is 1 cow, when more than 500 cows are already snatched from your so called ferocious herdsmen? All the purpoted scares about fulani herdsmen is a myth. He is human too and wants to live. When he sees true terror he will flee, as was the case recently in Ekiti. Yorubas in your land dont give you trouble. Stop making trouble in Yorubaland. However, if you do and we troop out to reset your brain dont send SOS to anyone, dont call for assist from security agencies. 3 Likes 1 Share
