My Neighbour Is About To Kill His Wife!! Please Advice. (urgent) by Nobody: 8:23am On Mar 22, 2017
Please no abuse, just sincere advise from experience people.

I'm living in a state in the south-west, I have a neighbor married with 3 kids. Like due to the economic hardship the husband was badly affected, couldn't pay rent, and provide adequately school fees and feeding (I got to know through their daily heated argument). For almost a month now the wife has constantly been berating, abusing and cursing the husband on a daily basis evwry morning.

Telling him she's packing out and living the children. Fast forward to this morning. I started gearing noise around 730am. I though it was the daily argument session. Untill the first born started screaming. I opened my door and lo and behold.

I saw heaps of luggages by the door (the husband had packed all the wife loads outside) I asked the screaming girl what's wrong. He said I should pls enter their room, I was cautious till I'm sure they weren't naked I opened the door slightly and I saw the husband and wife in a serious fight. The husband was holding the wife's neck about to snuff life out of her. With God's grace and strength I was able to separate them.

They stopped fighting but continued arguing. I entered my room without uttering a word to them. Now the issue is from my experience about there issue the husband said the wife is hit entering the room again. The wife said she's moving out without the kids, the husband said if so he will take the 3 children to ijebu and use them for money rituals. Only God knows what will happen throughout today in my house.

This night will certainly be hot! But what can I do??

The man's mind is not stable right now, and the wife is not helping.
These kind of experience scares one away from settling down without having a sure business that brings steady income

I didn't mediate because the wife is something else. Constantly cursing and abusing the husband. Infact the husband is the one washing his cloths and cooking food. The husband claimed the wife didn't work for 10yrs they were married but started selling things at bodija market last year due to financial hardship. Instead of her to help in the house she's keeping her money in cooperative. Now the wife have left for her stall in the market with shattered lips and swollen face. Her loads are outside. The children have gone to school, but the husband is at home cleaning out the room. The wife will return certainly in the evening. When they are likely to continue from where they stop. I'm afraid the worst might happen. The husband was about to hit the first born with a wood for screaming a while ago

Marriage is a different ball game entirely, if she spends time thinking of how she can contribute rather than cursing or abusing the husband maybe things would have been easier.
You won't blame guy that want to be made before contemplating marriage.

only God knows human heart but from what I saw when I moved in last year. The wife was full time house wife, and the kids were well fed and even attending a private school in a city (ibadan). Showing the husband has been good. The root of their crisis is MONEY.

Whenever they're having a "royal rumble" please leave that arena for your own safety sir.

Sometimes, it's good to mind your business to avoid any embarrassment.

you need to see the despair on the children's face when their dad and mum were on top of each other blowing it out. The first born was screaming "save us, save us" in yoruba. The mother asked why is she screaming the daughter said blood. The mother replied its not a new thing, is it the first time you are seeing my lips busted with blow. sad sad

I think, if you try explain to them that their problem is not unique, most people are facing the same challenge of no money.

They should try to think outside the box to survive the bad time imposed on the people by the apc government.
They should try manage whatever they have and try to make things better.

Most people are also finding it difficult, so they should not kill themselves they just need to navigate through this bad time.

You need to intervene. Speak with the wife and the husband separately. If they are church goers, help locate their pastor(s) to intervene.

There is nothing the Nigerian Police will do than put the young man in jail. And with N1500 or N2000, he would be released.

If you call the police, don't be surprised when the couple turn their back against you. Trust Naija police officers, they will definitely reveal your identity with words like "oga no be you call us? wey the couple?"

On issues like this, don't always "mind your business", if that young man successful kill the woman, the entire tenant in the compound will spend at least a night behind bars. That's 100% certain as the killer will escape.
