That's a society that respects the dead. If it were Nigeria, the whole media would be awash with the dead bodies.
In a sane country, the family of the deceased will sue whoever published these pictures online suicide or not.
I plead with Seun and the mods to apply caution in posting pictures of dead people and accident victims. It goes against every ethics of journalism or even against the norms of a civil society.
Many a time, these victims have families and loved ones and these gory pictures do not depict how they would want to be remembered by their loved ones.
Even victims who survive these accidents go through psychological trauma and have life long psychological scars, many never recover from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many go through nightmares.
Could you imagine a girl who had gone through great stress to make up and look good, then probably became a victim of an accident, do you think she would want the bloodied mess of her body to be on display everywhere on the internet?
Or may be a mourning mother who just recovered from the sad loss of a loved son on opening a Facebook page, incidentally got to see a religious post with the inscription against the picture of her son's body in a jelly of blood and tissues, "Type "Amen", if you don't want to be a victim of accident this year".
Sad sad! Please, Mods take note.

Why not do some work, look for the names and nice pictures of the victims and upload and still generate traffic instead of showing them online in this gory fashion?

People always talk about what the family and friends of suicide victims go through but you never bothered to understand what the suicide victim himself/herself went through. It is hell. For someone to conclude that death is worse than what they're going through means that what they're going through is very bad. Remember they have to override their strong natural instinct for survival. Show some compassion towards the mental pain of victims of suicide. Clinical depression is much much worse than sadness everybody goes through every now and then.

I understand where you are coming from. A typical Nigerian is in denial of mental health issues and we think that "problems" is the reason the person chooses to commit Suicide. No my dear. Depression IS a disease. As bad as Herpes, HIV and cancer. The person's mental state is completely taken over by maniac thoughts and desires. To understand how serious a problem depression, bipolar and Schizophrenia is please watch the movie "A Beautiful Mind". The jumping in to the lagoon is a climax of his state of depression. No he is not selfish. No he is not heartless. He was simply sick. We all failed him. Yes me and you and every Nigerian ignorant of this killer called depression. Please read Jehovah's Witness Awake on teen depression. I think you can find it on www.jw.org. Read up please, find out more about depression go online, get informed. That's another crime we commit. Sadly you won't be the one to lecture me about depression. Go to any hospital and see how many people are on admission treating one form of depression or the other. And yes it has everything to do with personal will, same medicine administered to Mr A is given to Mr B but different result. The first step to healing is the strength and believe in you. You speak like every other ignorant Nigerian. How sad. You may have spent four years in school and still do not know how make a simple research on this deadly mental state of health? You judge the Doctor..a doctor! by others responding to treatment? If he were your brother with this ignorant mindset this is exactly what will happen to him; he will die. the ones you see at the hospital "responding to treatment", their families manned up and faced the reality that the person they love is very sick. True. Admitting you have a problem and discussing it with family is the first step. I still can't understand how people bottle up such things inside of them. But its totally heartless whatever it is. I know someone who went from overdosing to getting her life back in full. Busy enjoying life now, globe trotting to see kids and grand kids all over the world. It must have still taken some strong inner will and strength. We all need to be strong enough. For me the thought of my family wld kill any suicidal thoughts
