It's the color that's throwing you off and is why I chose and paid more for white. I haven't looked at them closely but the outer material is some sort of light aluminum cover on top of most likely wood or fiberglass.

But they're definitely not wood because a dent has appeared during transport, much to my chagrin angry

YES Sir. Those are the doors Chinese called "Steel" just a thin layer covering some wood particles.. or some of them use foam type.
They generally call them "Chinese Steel Doors". Do a search on You-tube to see how they are made.

Once buildings are completed, whether residential or commercial, it's time to dress up the windows in the most appropriate way- window blinds. That's where you need us to give your windows the most efficient covering. There are many reasons to prefer window blinds to curtains. 1. Control the Light Entering the Room

Window blinds provide you with more control over the amount of light entering the room because you can cover the entire window or just part of the window according to your own needs. For example, the slats on some window blinds are fitted so tightly together that they do not allow any light in at all. This could be ideal for a room where you have a home theater or in your bedroom where you don’t want any light to wake you up in the morning.

2. Countless Styles, Colors, & Patterns

Window blinds come in an endless variety of styles, colors, and patterns, allowing you to create the perfect look in your kitchen, living room, or bathroom. Choose from mini blinds, vertical blinds, day and night blinds, and even cordless blinds, which are safer for children and also being very elegant.
3. Wide Variety of Materials

The variety of materials that blinds come in allows you to choose the blind that is most suitable for you in terms of both price and style. For example, if your living room contains wooden furniture, you can complement the room by installing wooden blinds. However, if you find wooden blinds too expensive, you can opt for faux wood instead to keep the costs down. You then have plastic blinds, bamboo blinds, aluminum blinds, and other materials to choose from to ensure that you can always find the right blinds for any room in your home.

4. Enjoy Complete Privacy

Blinds provide you with a level of privacy that you cannot get from many other options such as curtains. For the ultimate in privacy control, consider installing top-down shades. Using these, you can lower the shade from the top so that the natural light can come in, but you can still enjoy as much privacy as you require.

5. Easy to Maintain

Finally, one of the best things about window blinds is that they are typically very easy to maintain. In fact, many blinds simply require a quick wipe with a damp cloth from time to time to remove the dust. Compare this to curtains, which need to be washed every once in a while, and blinds start to look like the most convenient option. In addition, they are also long lasting, especially blinds made
from wood or aluminum, meaning you won’t have to replace them until you decide you are ready for a change.

Call or WhatsApp 08025101177 for your blinds today. We sell and install far and near promptly.

You are in Owerri
Owerri is not lightning prone
I don't know if the earthing/ ground of your house is erroneous
For cost sake the lighting arrestor is connected serially With the earthing electrodes and plate
I reside in Owerri
If you are interested I can do an assessment of your house

allCopacetic:

A nairalander once contacted me for cables and i noticed there werent any earthing cables on his list. I drew his attention to it and he said his electrician said it wasnt necessary since a lightning protection system will be installed. I was shocked.

the Lightning protection system and the electrical supply earthing or grounding system are two different entities that serve very different purposes and should never be interconnected.

It is very very dangerous to ground your power points via the same system as your lightning arrestor. you're creating a possible return path for the charge into your building

From the above, one person says it is okay to connect the lightning arrestor serially with the earthing electrodes.
Another is saying there should never be any connection between the two.

So who do I believe?

I ask because my electrician connected the earthing of the house to the grounding of the lightning arrestor. But another electrician is screaming that it is dangerous and that it should never be done.

At least here in the USA, the government will subsidize your purchase of solar equipment to save on energy. Just by going to a smart thermostat alone I got $500 back on a $100 thermostat. They encourage energy savings.

Also, you can sell excess electrical power back to your local power generating company when you have solar. So you are generating your own electricity and also making money.

I don't really get too much into comparing here with there because where does one even start.

I wish government in Canada gives money back like that.

like seriously, nigeria is a mess/jaga jaga.

i threw in 4 units of 250w panels into an suv i shipped from the usa, a couple of years back, the clownish custon personnel who checked the car, wrote 1 pack/carton of solar panels and placed a 150k abi 120k duty on the panels alone!!!. when i protested that it was just 4 panles, not 1 carton[whatever that means in customs world], i was told that the info has already been entered in their ledger, that if i want a reassesment, the car would be taken off the queue, and placed at the beginning of the queue again..

for a country experiencing poor power supply, i believe the govt should encourage people willing to bring in such, since nigeria doesnt produce such, and offer dirt cheap custom/clearing rates

The Anglo-French source of pantry, panetrie, means "bread room," from the Medieval Latin panataria, "room of a servant in charge of food or bread." The Latin root, panis, means "bread."

It seems that my Wife and I have a differing opinion on the type of house maid I require in my retirement. My choices, svelt young well-stacked nubians are not meeting her standard. Unless she will take such housemaid with her wherever she goes and never be left alone at home with me sad

Earthing of your lightning protector is to conduct current from lightning strikes safely to earth. Earthing of your electrical installation is for conducting of fault current / leakage to earth.

Faulty earthing or bad design is why we are sometimes electrocuted by household items. The moment there ie earth leakage, your earth leakage breaker should trip.

Earthing requires regular checking and maintenance to ensure that Earth resistance has not built up. In domestic installations, checking of the integrity of earth installations is rarely if ever done.

What this means is that in the event of a lightning strike, a bad earthing installation may fail to conduct the current to earth. If the arrester earthing and building earthing are linked, the current may travel into your system and destroy your electronics.

It is better you keep earthing of lightning protection and building separate. The cost implication is not significant

are you sure?...like really reaaly sure.
am sure customs would find a way of making you pay, just like the usual bail is free lingo with nigerian police.
customs usually charge extra money for tangible items loaded in a shipped car...they dont care what it, panels ,microwave, tv, fridge etc...if this money is remitted to govt coffers is another question entirely

All the panels we import for Solar Home solutions are duty free. We only pay duty for the batteries and inverters.

Stand alone in containers.
I think the custom guys are just wicked or lazy. They classified ur panels as personal belongings instead of doing the right thing.
