I don't know where you got your idea that he can't link the middle. Did you watch him at MK Dons? For starters, watch his game against Man U, he was the sole creator in that game. Just because he has a new role at Tottenham doesn't mean he can't do it abeg

I was talking in respect of the expected Burkina Faso or if we play anyone. If Mikel is in camp and I am drawing a list, I will certainly include him and drop Ogu. Then if Aluko is in camp, I will drop Iwobi for Aluko.

Aina has joined up with the Super Eagles
squad for a training match with an unnamed
side on Monday,

Aina, 20, was handed a late invitation by
coach Gernot Rohr for the training match
billed for the Hive stadium on Monday. He
was joined by Sunderland's 18-year-old
forward Joshua Maja and Queens Park
Rangers' Scottish born forward Eberechi
Eze.
Aina has made six appearances for Chelsea
this term in all competitions.
Josh has made five appearances for the
Black cats with four of the coming in the
Football League Trophy tournament (U23s)
and one in the English Football league
game against QPR where he came on in the
68th minute for Lynden Gooch.
Eze's only appearance for QPR this season
was in the English FA Cup. He featured for
18 minutes in QPR's 2-1 loss to Blackburn on
the 7th of January, 2017.
The trio will be assessed by the Super
Eagles technical crew it was gathered from

With Mikel, we have a rare get that is difficult to find. Just like how long it has taken us to replace Jay Jay Okocha.

Although we have a promising creative midfielder in Kelechi Nwakali. We Obinna Nwobodo l and Ifeanyi Matthew also show promise. However, I do not see them having the touch and class of Mikel. I hope they can reach that level.

I also agree with you in dropping Etebo for Victor Moses but that comes when Victor Moses is in camp too. I will also opt for Mikel over Etebo in Midfield because of his connecting play. I think with the creativity of our forwards, we need less of roaming midfielders but pass masters. For now, Mikel still trumps.

I did not watch him at MK Dons and I am judging him based on the multiple games I have watched Alli at Tottenham. His skill level when it comes to connecting is quite limited. Can you compare his connecting play to Eriksen before you write abeg. When it comes to connecting play, Mikel is absolutely brilliant.

Nope, I didn't drop Etebo rather I adjusted the line up, I dropped Ogu instead to accommodate Vicmo but in real match situation, it would still be a tough call leaving out Etebo though we all know what Nwa-Obi Mikel brings to the table. Some twitching would have to be done but then again, I would replace iwobi with Etebo (if he must be benched) when the going gets tough.

Chai u ain't even bringing Onazi into the picture. Are his days numbered??

are you talking about connecting play or being creative? Because if you mean connecting play then Alli is absolutely marvelous at that. His close control is crazy, he can control a ball while on the run, he doesn't hide from the ball, he is always available and he has the one touch skill to beat his man, but when it comes to making a killer pass he is limited there. Eriksen is only better than him when it comes to long range strikes and killer passes, they are almost balanced in all other aspects

Are you saying all Dele Alli is only good at is scoring?? Sure Mikel may be more creative, but Dele Alli also creates/attacks space superbly. If Mikel was in spurs, Pochettino would not play him as an AMF over Alli. Even Eriksen plays on the wing and and he's more creative than Alli.

How can Elderson be in that team and Musa is collecting arm band and you people are yarning about respect. Respect to who abeg?

Elderson made his debut in 2009 and Musa made his in 2010, if Captaincy is based on years in the team, then by all means, Echiejile ought to get that band over Musa

Or is it by caps? Then Musa can get the band, he has 7 more caps than Elderson....

Anyway, like i said before, Musa does not have captain qualities IMO....i just would have prefered Echiejile, Onazi was sha not it

True, but like you said, Tottenham already have Eriksen and to a certain extent Dembele for creativity. Not sure Pochettino would swap Alli goalscoring and superb off the ball movement for Mikel's creativity.

There is no comparison there. Eriksen is the superior player when it comes to one touch passing, skipping past players, dribbling, spreading passes an giving killer passes. Even when under pressure, Eriksen keeps the ball better.
