CanadianNurse:According to VFS, applications are sent and recieved by the embassy on the next business day after submission. So if you submitted yesterday, you can link your app from today. Once you link, any further instruction, correspondence and request SHOULD be sent through your account(although sometimes they can still send to emails). CIC will attach these documents in the correspondence area of your account. However, you'll be prompted through your email address to log into your account each time there is an update or request for anything.(if you ticked the box to get notifications) The major advantage is getting real time updates on your application as well as checking your application status anytime of the day. |

PendD: How long have you lived in India? You will need it if you have been residing in your home country and if you have lived in India for up to six months, you would need that of India too. Look it up here http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp |

Johnsilva:Some school consider GPA of last two years of study, while others consider overall GPA. I don't know your MSC chances but if I will generalise, with no knowledge of your last two years GPA, I would advise you stay away from high and mid ranked schools or get PGD in your field. Thank you. |

Good evening guys, I have a urgent issue that require your advice. I left Nigeria 4 years ago. Now I need to apply for a canadian study permit as soon as i receive my official offer letter. But I am presently stuck as to how to get police report from Nigeria especially if i have to use the address on cic website. It might not get to the right channel. However, on the cic website, there is a statement that says "if you cant get a security report from.a country, please state the reason in a letter of explanation". My question is, should I decide to explain, what could be a tangible reason? Also, what would you advice generally? Thank you. |

God bless you all for all your contributions, I have benefited immensely. Please I have some questions. I submitted my application online on the 13th Feb 2017. I Did Biometrics on the 16th but it is still not uploaded on my online application status. I have emailed CIC Ghana no response. Secondly, I would like to travel to USA but wondering if I can do the medicals before I travel next month ahead of CIC request. Thirdly, can I courier my passport to the embassy while in the USA, when visa is approved? Lastly, my daughter is US born, can I travel with her to Canada for my studies? Or need to apply for her Canada Visa too?. Thanks gurus in the house , I appreciate your assistance with the above. |

Please House, can I possibly use my Pension Fund Account statement as my major hometie. I might not be granted study leave at my place of work and I have no landed property |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Is2bEe(m): 2:21am On Mar 29, 2017 |
chonewillie:you don't have to be granted study leave. You can get a letter of introduction from your employer stating your position in your employment. You can also add pay slips and your salary account to prove employment. 1 Like |

Guys, please did anyone apply to University of Regina? I just applied and would like to know to check my application status and also to know how to know when my documents have been received and worked on. I sent my transcript to the email provided, should I also send my first degree certificate? Because that wasn't stated 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by maziude: 7:34am On Mar 29, 2017 |
yungreezy: Did you upload your certificates? Usually if you apply online, you are ask to either upload your documents or send it to them. However, you can send them a mail to know which documents they need, which they have gotten and that which is remaining. |

Lazbury: Your cgpa can secure a masters admission for you provided you are able to secure a supervisor by coming up with good and sound research proposal. TRV on the other hand is temporary residence visa wch includes study visa and visiting visa. Yours would b study visa. Start by contacting supervisors that are in your area of interest. |
