Hey guys! Does anyone know if it's possible to switch from Assurance to Advisory at the moment?

After applying, I took time to study the roles and responsibilities of the two areas and I realised I think I will be better suited to Advisory than Assurance. Why, because apart from not coming from a commercial/accounting background, I have some Management background and some advisory-related work experience. Plus, I math other requirements of Advisory embarassed

Erm bros, do you mean our responses should tilt more to being empathetic than being analytical or assertive right?

WOW!!! This is getting interesting. Congrats to the guys who made it! Your chances of joining PwC increases at this stage.

Well the OPQ isn't something difficult. Like "they" say..no right and wrong answers...however true, I personally dont believe that. If your personality responses dont go in line with PwC sorry for you. In view of this, you need to tailor your personality to PwC core values, Leadership, Teamwork and Excellence. Mind you the questions wont directly ask these values! Relationship also matters at this stage.

There are so many questions, and if you are not careful you are likely to fall into the trap of conflicting answers...a lot of us fell into this trap but nevermind if it is just one to three... I personally think this is another thing used to score the responses...your responses should be highly consistent, valid and reliable.

After the test, I'll advice you start prepping for the Interview and group discussion...especially those that haven't been interviewed anywhere before or scared of facing people....

I wish you all the best....but be very careful at this stage.

Errrrr....if its a personality test as said; you would LIKELY have situations described and asked your least or most appropriate response and stuffs like that..like they have said think like a PWC person when answering....and yes pay attention to whether the question says LEAST or MOST appropriate(its easy to get it mixed up from experience esp. under pressure)
Just saying tho......I hope its helpful

Just practice the link attached to your congratulatory mail. It's 299 questions or so, and it sends you a detailed result of your performance with examples (leadership/ teamwork/ excellence) but they are under assessments like 'supporting&cooperating' , 'organising&executing, ' leading and deciding' etc. These are graded out of 5..... keep practicing for consistency. Hope this helps and Best of luck to everyone

I got the mail. It was rather bland. No "congratulations" or suchlike, just a notification that I'd get a mail from SHL regarding the OPQ. Is it the same story for everyone?

Greetings all!

Greetings all!

I got the congratulatory message yesterday from CEB with the link for the actual test. While Ms Oyeneye sent a confirmation this morning. However, be advised that you can't do the OPQ without the email from CEB, so you should email her and explain your situation.
