Igbouwanile:Other means miscellaneous funds and it's not compulsory to fill unless it is also written on your admission letter or you explictly have divided your funds in all aspect and want to state it. The part with the esterisk (*) on the form is compulsory and must be filled. The main thing is that the funds available for your stay is proportionate to the funds available in a SOA or is equivalent to proof of funds transferred to canada or any other financial means. |

Austinpee4: please are u say if ur prog is a 1Year course, total tuition and living expenses must be present in the SOA or fixed deposit tendered? what if the money is not totally available but duly explain to the v.o that the sponsor would be transferring it monthly to the student from his salary account ?? |

spores99:lol..institutions do this and some renowned companies do this too, like multinational companies(shell, exxon-mobil, Intel, j.berger e.t.c) do it which is not open to the public but it is limited to some required staffs WHO ARE ASSETS to the company and in some cases to others that have the connection to put in their candidates who are not an employee of the company. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 10:53pm On Mar 30, 2017 |
spores99:Bro, there is nothing like transfering monthly till after you get your TRV. Your statement of account MUST have equivalent of your tuition fees and atleast 10,00CAD. This is a requirement of the IRCC act and not the accra embassy requirement. So it is universal standard and applicable to all applicant for a study permit. So make sure you have this available and after you get your TRV, your sponsor can decide to be sending the money monthly or quaterly or even yearly to you. |

Having read lots of post lately about funds and sponsorship, pls indulge me to make these points. 1. Anybody can choose to sponsor you but you stand a better chance with a 3rd party/company sponsorship when they have commited funds to your study as well as proven relationship to you. The sponsorship letters should ONLY tell officers where the funds is coming from and why they decided to sponsor you. Anything other than that will leave alot of questions in a visa officer's minds that your supporting documents/case must answer to. If you can satisfy these questions then by all means, use them. 2. Funds to be filled in the application form should be for one year. You must also show means of funds for the second year if your program is more than a year. Also,if you are self sponsored and have all the funds for the duration of your program( 1or 2 years) you can fill the equivalent in the available funds section. 3.Endeavour to use an affidavit of sponsorship if you are using a 3rd party sponsorship. Relatives and family members are mostly reliable sponsors because there is some kind of blood connection and your overall academic pursuit will bring some advantage or pride to them when they sponsor you. The overall interest of a person willingly sponsoring you must somehow be seen in your application. People put their money where their heart or interest is. 4. Make sure you don't submit a statement of account that doesn't have traceable source(s) of accumulated funds. The 6 months SOA required by CIC is most LIKELY to quantify and ascertain how funds available were accumulated and if funds will be generated for subsequent year(s) once program is more than a year. 5.You and your sponsor(s) should not play smart about making funds available just to get the VISA by lodging sudden lump unexplainable money and think it's about inflow and outflow. CIC requirements of having funds for tuition and living expenses in LIQUID form for a year is standard as stipulated in the IRCC/IRP act. Your funds available must meet this requirement either through a well built statement of account showing funds available, loan facility, bank draft in convertible currency or schoolarship award, etc to get your study permit approved. 6. After your purpose of visit is in-check and convincing, the next most important thing is the funds for your study. You must convince officers that indeed, you will have the funds that you have declared. This is really IMPORTANT. People who get refused a study permit even when they have huge amount of funds to show didn't meet other requirement of a study permit and PURPOSE OF VISIT is usually and often time the main issue. Finally, Choose programs and school you and your sponsor can afford. It is one thing to be admitted to a program and it is another to prove to canadian immigration officers that you can meet the challenges of studying in canada without a recourse to their government in whatsoever capacity. They want to make sure they discourage the idea of you working to fund your studies as they expect international students to invest funds in their economy while they make same economy very attractive to foreign students with good incentives. It's a give and take situation. All the best to the hopefuls. 24 Likes 2 Shares |

Folaroyal: Currently, never pay beyond 5k for it. I paid 5k but met a guy that paid 3k, on the same day at same alagbon location, because he knew someone in-house. Anything above 5k is extortion. Don't pay!! 2 Likes |

obaxlove:If those recent posts by @Austinpee4.. as rich as they are.. cannot satisfy your desire, i wonder where those answers will come from! There's nothing new anyone will tell you... and why is your sponsor worried about being contacted anyway?? Just a note; if your sponsor does not have uncontrolled access to the said account and will not do a sworn affidavit of sponsorship for you.. Your search for a sponsor has not ended! Regards |

It's actually a company that is sponsoring me not an individual. I have the sponsorship letter with the finance head details but FH is just curious on who will be contacted. Is he the one that will be contacted since his details are on the letter or the company head of HR. |
