At least no one will say it's because Fabregas did not play. I believe this is what we were trying to make these folks understand. Fabregas playing guarantees fuckall. 3 needless points dropped before the City game. We could easily be 4 points by the end of the City game and we become nervous. All because of experimenting. I see some folks are already trying to generate faults from thin air to support a narrative. I watched the game and I think Matic had a good game. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

bigkesh: Drag Fabregas into what? As if Fabregas is not already in it. You and ilk bore us every week about how Fabregas is going to turn us into Giant killers. And every week you miss the point. It doesn't phucking matter what kind of game Fabregas had. He played and we lost. And it's almost comical considering what has been promised. Somehow, y'all still claiming the loss is attributed to Matic playing. How? Isn't Fabregas supposed to supply all the assists required to outscore the opposition? Abi there's a new narrative? 4 Likes |

nateevs:Did I blame Matic? I said Fabregas will score or assist in every game he starts? That's what I promised I thought Matic is the human version of Troy's shield, where was he when we conceded 2 goals If you don't want to accept the fact that sometimes, no what who you play, defeat happens.. ....Then I can get ridiculous and also blame this on Matic As far the game is concerned, Fabregas scored, Created an empty net for Costa and drew a top save from Hennessy Matic was the one suppose to stop us from conceding 2 goals in 2 minutes and he failed No one is to blame really, shit happens.. ...But if you want a scapegoat, Fabregas is unavailable 8 Likes |

I just watch the goals highlights now and someone said matic was to blame for the first goal. My question now is what should matic who was at the back of zaha do, when the two CB at his front couldnt dispose him of the ball? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by atebesunny: 12:53pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
what a sore loss yesterday. Playing Pedro at RWB and at the same time starting Fabregas in the attacking third destabilized the team seriously in terms of keeping shape and movement defensively and offensively. Pedro was playing too further up the field ( he was providing the width needed in that area of the field which Fabregas wasn't providing) and thus dragging the CBs higher up the field (the 2nd goal). moving Cesear to the RWB and playing Zouma in the RCB role while Pedro retains his place in the RWF would have earned us some points. Anyways on to the next match against City and let's hope Moses is back or/and Conte gets it right. 2 Likes |

We played a very good game yesterday. Their keeper denied us lot of goals, this is one of those games that no matter what you play, you will lose |

bigkesh: This is you creating a problem where there isn't one. No one blamed anyone for anything. I only stated that Matic played well. You, in turn, assumed this means Fab did not play well. I wonder where that came from. I started by stating that playing Fabregas guarantees nothing (which you are now getting around to admitting) and that this loss will not be blamed on the fact that he didn't play at least. Evidently. Matic, on the other hand, has been a part of the winning team thus far. This has been stated repeatedly. So the promise of Fabregas' feature is to 'ONLY' score or assist if he plays. Well, what's been the point of the argument season long then? Have we not been assisting and/or scoring fine without him? Top of the league? Winning streak? Unbeaten Run? What have y'all been arguing about then? The fun of seeing him score or assist? Going by the way the narrative has been presented leading up to yesterday, I was led to believe that we would have won the league by now, had he played. When wise heads were warning on the contrary, that playing Fabregas liquifies our tactical solidity and ability to defend. When was the last time we conceded 2 goals in a game this season? When we don't play Fabregas, we stay compact. We don't get his assists but we've never failed to score in all but one single game season long. The stats show that we would have score eventually without Fab and someone would have assisted it. What will not happen though is conceding two goals. Stats also show this. Worst case scenario, we give away one goal. And walk away with a point. This is the wise approach and the sensible POV. Calling for Fabregas is needless at the business end of the season. When we should be talking about consolidating and wrapping up the league. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Ibime:I doubt it. Wingbacks role is all about intelligence ( check all the players who play the wingback position, they are not exceptional, but players who know what to do at the right time ). Willian tend to drift infield a lot and will often get caught upfield thus disrupting the shape and organization of the system. best bet is to play Cesar there (even though we would become too defensive in that area of the pitch) while Pedro is allowed to play in his forward role |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Griffon(m): 2:06pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
Justin Kluivert following in the footsteps of his father, Patrick. Boy has got guile, pace and good technique. We need to keep our eyes on this one. Meanwhile, it's an interesting top of the table clash here between Ajax and Feyernood. If I were to be a scout, this league would certainly be my scouting ground. The are too many good lads here, with a lot of emphasis placed on technique. Ajax's Veltman is another prospect, next Vidic in the making if I must say. All he needs is good tutelage and he's up there with the bests. |

Jeez! Our own Bertrand Traore just missed a glorious chance for Ajax. Oh well, that wouldn't be sorely grieved cos Ajax just doubled their lead. 2nil already! 1 Like |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Griffon(m): 2:59pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
What Justin Kluivert lacks is precision. He's very much raw and has got load of tricks on how to beat his man, but what he does with the final ball is the major concern. He's often times stuck between, passing the ball or shooting at goal, hitting hard at goal or going with a swerve. Boy reminds me of a very young Robinho. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Griffon(m): 3:16pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
Kluivert gets a standing ovation from nearly every soul in Amsterdam Arena, as he makes way for Cerny. Meanwhile, Traore is one hell of an amazing profligate striker. |
