The OPQ test is one of the most complicated tests i have encountered. I will share what i know and sure of

1. THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER!!
2. DO NOT LINK YOUR ANSWERS TO PWC CORE VALUES (to those who have not written, try and do it today too)
3. NO HESITATION, STAY TRUE AND HONEST IN YOUR ANSWERS.
4. CONSISTENCY IS KEY!!

Each department has its strengths and weakness, what is needed in audit differs from that of tax and advisory, thus the no wrong answers. the test is to check if you are in line with your strengths in the job position you have applied for as you noticed all the options are all good traits.

PWC will take about 80 or more graduates this year, I wish all of us the best, stay hopeful and have faith.
Do not forget to help each other in any way you can.

I actually thought same at first. But then taking a closer look at the previous years' thread, people who seemed to have tailored their answers towards PwC core values practically strolled through this stage. So I thought it wise not to state the contrary on here so that it doesn't look like I'm misleading people. Anyways let the results speak for themselves. Happy Sunday beautiful people...

And so I got thinking, is it not possible that instead of fitting with the company culture (which is not so clearly discernible from the OPQ test) that the test is to know if you would love or fit the ASSURANCE job? Because in assurance, allow me to limit it to Auditing for now, there are basic qualities an auditor should have like ASSERTIVENESS, CAPABLE OF INDEPENDENT THOUGHT, WORK WELL WITH NUMBERS, etc. And sincerely I feel the test was closer to trying to discern that than fitting with the company culture. Because if you carry your EXCELLENCE, LEADERSHIP, and TEAMWORK do that test, you'll soon realise there's something just not fitting... Just saying though... Make result show first. God abeg o
I am forced to agree with you on this. Remember OPQ means Occupational Personality Questionnaires. Our traits must align more with the job role than the general pwc core values. God help us all

I am yet to do mine but there is a specified time limit(25 minutes or thereabout). But your test won't end after the time but do not spend too much time on it.

Hehehe... I didn't change my stand actually. I wrote that comment after taking the test. And frankly, I tried as much as possible to be in the middle between what's required for the job and PwC core values. Balancing that wasn't fun Mehn... I just hope it doesn't come around to bite me in the butt though.

Aaaaaand... Yes! Those who wrote last year did a similar test. It's still CEB SHL OPQ na... it's gotta be similar Mehn Otherwise it won't be a standard test... Don't you think?

I should totally shut up and wait for feedback from madam Toyin tomatoes grin grin

hi all

trust you good today.

i need guidelines as to how to practice before attempting the main test.

i tried the ( It is recommended that you visit http://www.shldirect.com to find out more about online assessments, get tips on how to prepare yourself, or practice.) the link in there, chose personality, created a password and thereafter bio data. it asking me to take a test called Prepare yourself for a Competency Based Interview. i just want to know if i am on track.

OR

I will have to login using my login details, then would take a pre-test b4 d main one or something(as it was for d numeric and verbal). just need an advice.

thanks.

Do this.
The practice test would most likely not help you though. The Practice test is long (about 299 blah blah questions), tiring and way way easy compared to the main test. Goodluck and Godspeed.

Ma lady, no vex jare I get you point and really, most of d things you just pointed out made up 50% of my questions and you know it's audit and assurance, so definitely, it's like d OPQ was tailored towards the department, or is there anybody for assurance that had a slightly different experience?
