Against top opposition if your striker doesnt engage defenders either in form of pressing or Holdup. This gives the defenders way too much time to pick passes from the back and the quality of passes from Center backs is getting better nowadays Also unsure CB's can easily be unsettled and leak good scoring chances

These Aguero doesnt offer, with this trade off then he must be scoring 8 out of 10 chances to have a chance vs top opposition.

The option ow becomes to play Aguero with another striker in front which he has done in his previous years in City either with Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli, Negredo, Bony etc

Doing this while resolving one problem creates another big problem you are light in the middle, and with 2 strikers who are waiting for the ball, the midfield get outnumbered
