its different from what am trying to say. some agents give ppl visit visa in place of employment. and promise them that once they land UAE, they would give them different jobs to choose from.

yes for white collar job, no for blue collar job.

Yes it's advisable to authenticate your highest cert obtained but i don't think you can do that without authenticating the lower ones​, but amongst all, the highest one is the most preferred.

But if money no dey, just bone all the cert issues, come hustle for work, when u go on vacation u can authenticate them & come back to search for a good job with your 2 years residency. You may be lucky to get a professional job under 3 months visit while some might not be lucky. Whichever​ works for you, fine.

yes it's true. GMG bags are no longer allowed.

but bro, as at Jan 21, you told the room you already have your 3 month tourist visa and you'll be traveling by first week in March. so what's happening? hope the visa never expire sha? I wish you all the best in all your endeavors.

To hustle or secure a job? You shouldn't put your mind on roaming the streets because that would be the worst decision you will ever make. Just get your 3 months visa and come search for jobs here, any job you get will be a starting point of something better because gulf experience is highly sort after but you can also get a job with little or no previous gulf experience.

i believe what you have to do is
1. Go through the last 20 pages here and also the first page of this thread so you would know what you are up against.
2. Go to Malaysia thread and get information about its visa, life in Malaysia, so you would know what you are up against.
or
3. Go meet an agent so he would give you the fast version you want to hear den run back here when you become frustrated.
the choice is yours.

So how do I pack my laugage.
Do I have to buy box to put my half bag of Rice, one basin of garri, yam,and the rest.advice pls @ natty pls advice and other gurus

before even being fully admitted into any University in UAE, the school includes your visa in your payments. so i wonder how you are commencing studies without the school giving you Visa or even Visa Support/Advice . smh

VISA REQUIREMENTS
An annual student residence visa is provided to students, who are coming from abroad, enrolled at Sorbonne Abu Dhabi.

The documents required for an entry visa request are:

Passport copy
Colour passport photo
International medical insurance valid in the UAE
Visa request form

Abu Dhabi University sponsors the visas of International Students who have no relatives or sponsors in the UAE. Visa-related concerns are handled by the University as we aim to provide students a comfortable and worry-free environment.

CONDITIONS:

APPLYING FOR A VISA

You can apply for a visa once you have paid your tuition fees by submitting an electronic, colour passport copy and a photograph to your admissions officer, along with the relevant visa fee. The University will then proceed to apply for a visa on your behalf.

Please note that processing times vary and you should submit your documentation at least 8 weeks prior to the start of semester to ensure that your application can be handled in good time.

Student Visa Sponsorship
If you are an international, non-resident student looking to study at UOWD, the University is able to provide you with a sponsored student visa, enabling you to study and reside in the UAE.

Sponsorship from UOWD means that you can arrive in the UAE on an international student visa, valid for a period of 12 months and renewable according to the duration of your study program. Non-nationals who are resident in the UAE are also eligible to apply for a visa once they are aged 15.

UOWD visa sponsorship is only available for students who enrol on a full-time basis. For programs of less than 12 months, or for attendance at the graduation ceremony, the University may be able to apply for short-term (30 days) or long-term (90 days) visas for students.

Applying for a Visa
Sponsorship procedures can only begin when you have accepted an unconditional offer of a place at UOWD and have paid all fees due as per you Letter of Offer. Please refer to the Visa Sponsorship Procedures for further information.

To apply for visa sponsorship, you will need to submit a completed Visa Application Form along with the following documentation to the Student Recruitment Office:

A clear colour passport copy (with minimum 6 months validity)
5 passport size photos
A receipt for the payment of visa and tuition fees
A copy of your current visa (if you are inside the UAE)
A copy of your unconditional offer letter

This shouldn't be your responsibility, the school will handle your visa processing and the rest. So contact the school and they will be in the best position to advice you.

My dear you don't need to come to Dubai with rice oh.its cheaper here.
