Finally read every single page of this thread, very insightful. I am curious if anyone has successfully applied for a masters or PhD in a life science degree, I would like to know the university you applied to and your entry GPA or grade classification (first, second upper etc). Thank you!

He has to defer now that it's still a bit early, processing time now for study permit is 18weeks so it's still within processing time, he can choose to wait on cic but I'll advice he defers to September so as not to lose the admission while waiting, regards.

I guess I am in the same situation ... May intake applied on 8 march called for medical on 23rd march. Took medical on 27th march ... Not heard from them ever since then.. Should I defer my application too or wait

Your advise is a good one as regards appying early considering the processing time. However, it will be detrimental if he does without having funds to meet the requirements of CIC. (tuition +living expenses).
So while it's advisable to appy in time, it is also advisable funds are available first before sending in the application.

You don't need to defer your approval would come before your start date. Just be hopeful.

Please who has a downloaded form IMM-1294 on there laptop? please I need it coz I have been trying to download d form on cic.gc.ca website it's coming as an error I don't really know whats happening. Thanks

please i want to start my TRV application, please which process will be the best for me. My Studies starts in September 4th. I want to Submit before 20th of this month. I have been denied before, do i need to do anything as regards the denial? I gotten the reasons for the denial, do i need to do anything about it?

Just relax, before your program start date you will hear from them, was once in such state b4.

Without asking you ought 2 know you shud tackle reasons of ur previous refusal, did u get ur gcms notes? & Yes u must tackle them, then re-apply 2 avoid another joker, prefer paper route.

drop your email lemme forward to u, i dont know y u cant download, just downloaded it. i guess you were trying to open it online, all u need do is download and open and all wud b fine, opening it online will give u an error message which is what u got, wt the error msg still download d file and open. u can drop ur email i'll forward to u.

bros if you dont meet the conditions for which you were denied in your previous application, am sorry to say but its the fact, its going to be same outcome as the previous one. refusal reasons must be tackled before any hope for reapplying

Did you apply through paper or online route? I submitted my application March 7th at VFS in Lagos but no word yet.

I have over meet the reasons. That was last two years. My statement of purpose was Zero then from the corrections I saw from NAIRALANDERS . about fund. I have gotten a sponsor who is a blood brother and have huge set out for me. He has paid one year tution fee. And accomadtion for a full semester. . CAD10k has been declared for my upkeep though not in my own account yet. Please I want to know if affidavit of sponsorship is neccesary my sponsor is not in Nigeria, getting Such affidavit will not be easy now. Please I need your advice. Thank you

Yeah i got same error but still download it. After downloading it den open, u'll see ur form right in front of u.

Sent, stop using phone, use a laptop. From the error message at d top right corner u'll c d icon to download, "click and save as" to ur desktop. That's all incase u would want to download other forms, thats d procedure to follow.

I guess u were denied for insufficient funds in your previous application, and if that was d case b4 den i fink convincely u av met the reason with what u posted.

1. On this same page... Look for 'download' on your right up... Click to download.
2. Open the download... which may give you this same message you attached... Click on 'save as' and save on desktop.
3. Open the form ... From the icon saved on your desktop.

I guess CIC is giving priority to those resuming by May because I submitted mine(online) on 10th of March. I thought the processing is usually on a first come first serve basis

@Igbondieze I hail you, pls have you gotten any feedback from UNB? My application status recently changed from "Payment Required" to "Application Recieved" , i paid my application fee through bank-wire and it took approximately 6working days for dem to update my status.

I don't think ur sponsor must be present to swear an affidavit, this is naija, you can do it on his behalf at the court, my thoughts tho, regards.

I did not apply in Nigeria... So waiting time is different I applied from Kenya and it takes 6weeks for processing time guess due to less number of people who apply for visa to Canada
