Sad something ...

why not try one of Nokia's new releases

You know Nokia would never learn their lessons ? Rather than produce a killer device and find a slot in the flagship killer section, they would want to compete with samsung & apple.

They have not still said anything. Still awaiting their response on paypal. They sent me a reply via ebay, asking me to reset device(this umi is probably already tired of me trying to reset it).......
Maybe umi thinks I am a smartphone novice .........

That is how companies behave, they don't want to incur any debt. They would exhaust the whole options before accepting the device back. I believe if you persist on the issue they will agree, such amount is big to let go like that.

With me, my record of requesting refunds or exchange on faulty devices is 100%. Would update on progress.......

This time make sure you make more enquiry, but I trust Oneplus. That device would be a monster.
Nevertheless have you tried this method.
When the device won’t stop rebooting
Here’s what to do if the device wont stop rebooting.
Step 1: Turn off the device and then reboot in recovery mode.
Step 2: Go to “Advanced” which will bring up a number of options to choose from.
Step 3: One of the options should be “Wipe Dalvik cache” select this option and then follow the instructions. When finished select “Go Back” to return to the main menu.
Step 4: Go to the “Wipe Cache Partition” and select it.
Step 5: Go to “Wipe data/ factory reset.”
Step 6: Finally reboot the device by selecting “Reboot system now.” This should fix the problem.

Ok, have you tried to hold up and down volume keys with power keys for like 20 seconds. You can try it multiple times, according to some users opinion.

Then you need to work on returning it quickly. Before I run out of batter juice, I would like to know if it is a removable battery. Tomorrow then.

Oga, u know say na fineness made u bought that phone. There are brands to be very cautious off wen d price reaches 200 and above. All the umi, elephone and so on are meant for the sub 150 usd. For d record, I used elephone p8000 for a year and half b4 it dropped dead wen charging it. No solution. The guy that used umi z above (vintino), can give u long list of the bugs on that phone. How long is someone willing to wait for software updates to fix issues? Maybe if after 2 years u will get to start enjoying the phone .
Even new brands like uhans, vernee, qihoo 360 and doing quite well

Its always nice to explore other devices. One cannot stick to Samsung only forever. Variety they say is the spice of life. But when the variety is looking very soar, one would have to seek alternative variety.
I do not want to buy another samsung device. I could easily get the S8 on contract, but do not want to go down that route. OnePlus 5 now on my mind.

Never once used a Samsung device, not bcoz its expensive (I have bought it as gift a couple of time) BT am not just a fan. I live being adventurist, but i stick with brands with reputation & takes software serious. The list of them, both expensive and inexpensive is endless

The reason I stated in an earlier post, that all this brands suffer from bad reputation. And the main reason they are not generally accepted worldwide.

Umi are now responding to my complain. They want me to send them pictures of phone plugged in and they have also requested that I test with another type c charger.
I do not have another type c charger, so would either have to buy one or go asking my neighbours.....
