the 9 I have in mind is Tammy...but I am not sure if we gonna get him easily...
so let's make use of kayode for the Cameroon tie. the guy has stamina and physique...
he can live up some of our expectations
still believe iwobi can play the physical taste of Africa football should he be deploy to the middle not the flanks...he should play as 10 definitely as sub

Pls i am still waiting for that 'number 9'.

Moses Praises Chelsea Mates For Win Over Man City

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses has hailed Chelsea’s performance during their 2-1 win over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Nigeria international who missed his second game on the trot for Antonio Conte's team due to injury, took to his Twitter handle on Thursday to praise his teammates for their resilience.

“Great performance from the boys last night, big win against a strong City side! The lads showed great character #CFC,” Moses, who was in the stands to watch his team-mates, tweeted.

Chelsea struck first in the contest at Stamford Bridge through Eden Hazard but Sergio Aguero equalised before Hazard bagged the winner.

Chelsea thus maintained a seven-point advantage over Tottenham Hotspur in the race for the English Premier League title.

Martins Set For Shanghai Shenhua Return Vs Hebei CFFC

By Johnny Edward:

Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins could return for Shanghai Shenhua in Saturday's Chinese Super League clash against Hebei CFFC at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, reports Comple tesportsnigeria.com.

Martins last featured for Shanghai Shenhua in the Asian Champions League play-off loss to Brisbane Roar in February but he is back in training after recuperating from a niggling injury he sustained days after the game while training.

The former Seattle Sounders forward missed the first three games in the Chinese Super League this season and it remains to be seen if he will get back into Shenhua matchday squad due to the new CSL rule.

The rule states that teams can only field three overseas players at any given time, with five allowed in the matchday 18.

So far this season Shanghai Shenhua's manager Gus Poyet has stuck with Argentine forward Carlos Tevez and the Colombian duo of Giovanni Moreno and Freddy Guarin as his three overseas players for his opening league games.

"It's a bit tough for Martins now due to the new rules in the Chinese Super League but he is getting back to full fitness," a close source to Martins told
Completesportsnigeria.com.

Martins also posted a picture of him smiling with a note beneath it suggesting he could be in line for a return. "Envisioning the goal before it happens!" Martins wrote via his Twitter handle @Obafemimartins.

Shenhua are currently seventh in the Super League table with four points from three games and they are five points behind leaders Shandong Luneng and Guangzhou R&F, who lead with nine points from three matches.

Eguavoen Set To Join Sunshine Stars As Head Coach...

By Johnny Edward:

Sunshine Stars have made contact with former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen about replacing Kayode Olujohungbe as the club's head coach, reports Comple tesportsnigeria.com.

Eguavoen, who led the Nigerian Professional Football League U-17 All Star team to the Guateng Future Champions tourney in South Africa where the team finished second behind Atletico Madrid's U-17s, was spotted in the stands in Nnewi last Sunday when Sunshine Stars lost 2-1 to FC IfeanyiUbah in an NPFL clash.

He is currently in Akure to finalise his appointment as coach of Sunshine, Comple tesportsnigeria.com understands.

Olujohungbe was handed a two-game ultimatum by the club management to turn things around but he lost 2-1 to FC IfeanyiUbah in Nnewi and will get sacked if he fails to record a win against Remo Stars on Sundayat the Akure Township Stadium.

Olujohungbe has managed to record five wins so far this season with Sunshine Stars who are currently placed 18th in the NPFL table with 18 points from 16 games.

Completesportsnigeria.com sources also indicated that Eguavoen may even be willing to accept a short-term role with the Owena Whales until the end of the season, with the option to walk away if he is unable to keep them up.

He just made his first bundesliga start and he's made team of the week already!!!!!!!!!! shocked

In the company of Auba and co.... chaaaiiiiii.... what else are we waiting for then? Abeg Rohr should call this lad up for that France camping exercise biko.... but before then, he should make further contacts to consolidate on the ones already made... we cannot lose this boy ooo... Finally... a stiff competition for Echiejile... wink

I hope you guys would not say i am in the habit of bursting bubbles. Hahahaha! Dnt blame me o. I have seen a lot in football.

My take is we include him under our observation list. Our next match is in june so we have 1month plus to examine him.

Some of these youngsters may nt be ready for senior international action especially considering that we play majorly against African oppositions. Look at us complaining abt Iwobi against Senegal. What of Ebuehi? We say he is light weight.

If this guy was a forward i would have been more excited.

As for that young players camping plan. I hope it works bt i dnt trust this NFF guys. Dem fit say no funds for such.

I wouldnt say exactly how Romania did it. But what i'll say is it requires planning, hard work and results. That is also how Switzerland made top ten a couple of years back.

As I said before, the ranking parameters are not secret. FIFA has made it public. The ranking is done for a 4yr period. Eg the latest ranking was from March 2014 to April 2017 with the most recent results(2017) carrying more weight.

Some countries dnt play friendlies with teams outside the top 50 bc playing teams that are too low behind does nt fetch much points and if u by mistake lose or draw to any of such teams it will really negatively affect ur ranking.

Playing top teams and getting results moves u up. Just a draw against Senegal and u saw our ranking points soar. Senegal lost ranking points with that draw against Nigeria.

Jst like the case of Romania and Switzerland. You can acquire those points calculatively. The ranking points formulas are available. U simulate the results and calculate the possible ranking points from them and u select which teams u'll play in friendlies. U may nt have a choice of who to play during main tourneys or qualifiers but every opportunity u have to play against a big team jst get a result even if it is a draw. Dnt loose games even if u have already qualified from the group. Like if we secure qualification after Cameroun double header some would say we should rest our regulars and try new players. U may not get the desired results needed to boost ur ranking.

FIFA ranking has become so important these days and should no longer be taken for granted as it is now the basis for group seedings in both FIFA and CAF organised tourneys.

All you said is pretty academic. It does not explain Romania ranking 7th by FIFA and Wales rise from 122 to the top ten in just 2 years.

There is a loop hole with the geometry by which FIFA arrives at their monthly ranking. A student from Faroe Island, Jakub, developed a format which could be used to game the system. Romania and Wales used this to their advantage to beat the system.
I am not fit for a long debate, so I will leave just leave it like it is.

Also... you should consider that the bundesliga is a very technically strong and physical league also....

Yeah... keep making fun of him..... I didn't see you when he took England by storm with an impact within seconds of coming on... or when he became Man city's youngest scorer in a derby.... or when he became the 10th player in the history of the EPL to hit 10 EPL goals as a teenager just before he turned 20.... or when he dusted Rinaldo's, Messi's and Suarez's goal ratios.... or when the EPL confirmed that he still is the player with the most lethal EPL goals ratio in the History of the EPL....

I didn't see you then.... but now that he is not even making the matchday squad, and not because he is not good but just because of Pep's sentimental preferences, you make fun of him....

How does that make you feel huh? Happy? fulfilled?

Is this what you want our boys to be going through so that you can pop in here and throw jokes at them...

These lads are humans for crying out loud... they have feelings and a goal too... You think Nacho is happy with his situation?

I thought we are here for the Betterment of the Super Eagles as a brand which includes encouraging our boys... not making fun of them..... na wa oooo...

Wales were ranked inside the top ten before the Euros. That was the reason they were seeded in the world cup qualifiers.

Imagine Jesse Lingard just signed a 100, 000 pounds a week contract with Man utd for four years.... Lingard oooo.... That average talent.... angry

There is Everything right for you when you are English and a national team player of England in the English Premier League....

During the Euros... even some section of the English fans cracked a joke wishing Nacho was English to help them out with their striking problems as Alli, Kane, Sterling and Even Vardy all flopped at France Euro 2016.... lol

We know the truth... but nacho should just leave the pep-infested environment... it is so negative for him... nacho can take the positives he can take but he must move on for regular game time... a super talent like him is the dream of most modest clubs now... from there he can grow into the big super player he has always dreamt of becoming....

The word OPPORTUNITY covers everything and is pregnant with meaning.

It is opportunity that defines players, not the player defining the opportunity.

There are players who could have been better than KC and Dele if they had the same opportunities. It's just life and life is simply not fair.

What defines you is what you do with your opportunities . Rashford was not considered the best striker in the U21's he was probably number 3. But he got the opportunity and he took it and established himself.

KC had an opportunity where the standards for the no. 9 position are very high. Unfortunately he didn't cut it according to Pep, he needs to find a new opportunity before he get forgotten.
