Mamas whose's babies are more than 6months, how do you measure your LO solid food to know and be sure they are taking enough food at a time to support their growth? Do you feed a specific number of spoons or something? I have attached a picture of my baby's food plate....it's a Tommy tippee plate. I fill it 3/4 each time I feed him....is it ok or do I get a bigger plate. He is 7months 1week old.

Apparently a baby's tummy is as big as their fists. So you can use that to guage the portions.

If he is finishing 3/4 of the plate at 7 months i think he is doing very well. You dont need to use a bigger plate.

Sebanmed lotion is 2800 while chicco should be 1800 or so....I have not bought chi cco recently tho. Yes Johnson USA is 3k ...

My Sister, all these things na trial and error, till you get the technique that works.

I do 3 main meals a day i.e breakfast, lunch and dinner at around 8 am, 13:30 and 17:30 respectively. With cereals for breakfast and cooked meals for the rest.

Inbetween, Like around 11:00 and 15:00. we do snacks, like fruit, toast, sandwiches, pancakes , biscuits and finger foods generally with milk.
Sometimes i do banana milk ( blend banana and milk) and give her and she loves it.

Then most times she has some of our own dinner at about 20:00 , a small cup of milk at about 20:30 and we are done for the day.

So that is like 5 or six small meals a day

This has worked for us so far.

Mamas pls help I'm exclusively breast feeding so I got the medela advanced style electric pump. I barely up to 2oz in 30mins. At times the milk will be flowing very well but will stop after sometime but the pump will still working. when I try to press the breast directly milk gushes out. I'm I not placing it pump well? Pls help a new mom. I'm extracting cos I want to be sure my son gets enough per time since I'm not giving him formula.

There's really no hard and fast rule to it. Start with 2-3 spoons of the cereal and watch if he finishes it. To know when he's had enough, he will stop eating or try to lock his lips. Also give him snacks in between meals eg banana, apples, biscuits

Thank you all for your response on my previous post. Please when do you think is ideal to change baby bottles? I read a lot of post on google but I will like our African mothers to put their own opinion on this matter bothering me. Presently I use avent and the three are 4 oz. What do you think? Change or Continue. Nipple I intact, bottle is okay.

A lot of home coming queens here. Welcome mamas. My DD on top the malaria now have sore throat and that's what is causing the fever after all. She's now on new antibiotics. She cannot swallow and hates to take formula,so we are back to only breastfeeding at 9months. Is there anything I can do to ease her pain?

First what brand and name of the carrier. Try and google it. Look for the specification and reviews online if possible.

I think rocker and bouncer are the same. Rockers are generally used for the electric ones that you plug and bouncers generally for the manual ones that you use your leg or hand to bounce

My son will be exactly 3 months old tomorrow and he weighed 7kg at his 10th week immunization on the 31st of march. He's breastfed and formula fed
