Student visa.

They can pay for your school fees and you can emigrate legally.

From there things can work themselves out. Maybe you'll fall in love with a USC, maybe you'll find the cure for cancer or HIV (Trump will personally come and officiate at your swearing in oath as a citizen) grin

For direct working visa, it's near impossible, but please don't let me discourage you.

lol... cure for cancer and HIV... I no even get cure for headache.. fall in love?.. hmm.. I dey fear those girls ooo.. especially those that are born and brought up there.

Still forward for a masters degree sha.

well.. thanks for the enlightenment.

Well, genetic testing would be considered if the aunt looks way older than him. And that's a big possibility grin
But as the link says, DNA testing is quite expensive, so if the aunt presents convincing documentation that shows he is her brother, then the path could be clear for the application to proceed.

She's 37 (born here in Nigeria but raised in the US).. her elder brother (born in the US ) is 40 and am 28.

Okay o.

Just be prepared to answer, and credibly, why you didn't immigrate with your "Mum" when she emigrated because they know that African mothers don't typically leave children behind in our culture. Even if she was going to leave you behind she should at least have had your name listed on the I-130 when she filed or was filed for.

Una better start saving for school fees.

Another angle that is rarely used by Nigerians is the EB-5 visa, but then one might make a valid argument that any Nigerian that has $500,000 won't think of moving to the USA cool

"USCIS administers the EB-5 Program. Under this program, entrepreneurs (and their spouses and unmarried children under 21) are eligible to apply for a green card (permanent residence) if they:

Make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States; and
Plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers.
This program is known as EB-5 for the name of the employment-based fifth preference visa that participants receive.

Congress created the EB-5 Program in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. In 1992, Congress created the Immigrant Investor Program, also known as the Regional Center Program. This sets aside EB-5 visas for participants who invest in commercial enterprises associated with regional centers approved by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth."

Logical process doesn't work with USEL.

I'll try to find a link but I read somewhere where they stated that a good 70% of documents that they are presented by Nigerians are fake.

So in Nigeria and Ghana they tend to ask for DNA a lot.

I do not consider myself from a wealthy family. Came here on a student visa, and my dad was the one that took care of everything. Both bachelor's and master's degrees. He sent money for school/living every year for 6 years. He did that for all of us 6 kids. 3 are here and 3 in London. This was a long time ago though, when the Naira had value. After schooling we all took it from there, to get stay, etc. Also, did part-time jobs while in school.

Anyway, let's not derail this wonderful thread. We'll just leave it as that. Yes, dad set us up, but we all took it from there. Worked hard to get to this level. Best of luck bro.
