Abeg, i have been having severe pain on my left lower back and it affects my left leg such that i limp when i walk. Is any mama going through this and has anyone experienced it before? What can i do to ease the pain cause i told my Dr about it at my last appointment and she said its baby's weight thats casuing it and i should swallow paracetamol for the pain. I have been taking paracetamol but it doesnt stop the pain at all. I never had this kind of experience when i had my first baby. Na only me waka come for this matter? #TeamJuly

The devil is a Liar! The biophysical profile is to check the welfare of your baby. (IUGR) The breathing, heartbeat, muscle, amniotic fluid etc. I dont think it's expensive sha! E no go reach 20k. I think your hbp has something to do with it. Please don't start thinking so your bp doesn't go high. May God perfect all that concerns you.

My people i have come again o. Remember i posted that d gynae told me i was going to have a section at 37 weeks.
Fast forward to today, i went for my appointment. I was asked to do a scan.

I went to a lab outside the clinic, the sonographer was just looking at me somehow. so i asked what the issue was. The result showed that the gestational age is 28 weeks and weight is 1.2 kg. How is that possible? I am supposed to be 36 wks 5 days today. And this woman dey talk another thing.
She say LO no dey grow. Fluid, placenta,heartbeat and cervix length is okay.

I got back to the hospital with the result and the doc was shocked. So he asked me to use their in house sonographer for a 2nd opinion.

The results came back the same. Only this time, foetal weight was 1.5kg.

Am so dejected right now. Am so unhappy. Am depending on God now. I can feel my baby move.

Oh Jesus! They have asked me to do an urgent biophysical profile.

Please who knows about this and what is the cost implication.

I trust God to do what only him can do.

If you know about this, please give me answers. Cant even think straight.

Mamas ,let's always make sure we have people around us especially when we are close to edd .I learnt a big lesson this night .got home arnd 6 ,rounded up somethings,had dinner then i decided to watch zeeworld to pass time till dh comes back . Suddenly ,i felt this sharp pain .couldn't walk ,couldn't stand up to get my fone sef ,it was as if lo was dragging my kidneys,lungs ,heart together and i was really weak .My compound is ' mind your business' type and nobody will even hear if i scream. I only started praying for God to push dh home anywhere he was ,i thought i was in labour already ...Story short ,the pain just relieved me and dh isn't even home yet then it had me thinking what if truly i was in labour? No person to help ,no neighbours(they are mostly guys anyways) ,no airtime or even dead battery .i'd have to wait till dh comes home or wat? ...I'm going to my mil once i start my leave .it was a scary stuan

Had similar pains last night, though mine were just sharp and quick. Read on google that it might be effacement pains while some others said it's caused by baby's downward descent while pushing through ligaments.

Since I started my leave, I've had dead battery issues too esp during the day cuz the power supply is a bittch so hubby forced me to go and dig up my long abandoned Nokia torch/airtel line. That one is now always there, fully charged and topped up, waiting to make the emergency call . If you can get one of those too. When are you starting your leave?

I'm glad Baby Zino is doing fine. Don't worry too much about her weight esp if she's not underweight for her age. Just make sure her diet is balanced, that helps to keep them healthy.

Please go and do scan I doubt serious abdominal pain is part of the package o.

Try and sip water and eat small quantities of food at a time, don't do anything​ stressful get lots of rest and take your drugs hopefully all will ease up at the start of second trimester.

Pele ooo. You will get better once u enter 2nd semester. U never suffer reach me sha. MS finished me. Lost over 15kg if not more( dropped from 85kg to 68).
Pls try to eat no matter how little. I invested on that yellow cream crackers n tea. That's how I survived.

I have been having painless menstral cramps for past a week sometimes I will have it throughout the day, on Saturday I was having painful contractions but wasn't regular so in the midnight the contractions were coming at 10 minutes interval and very painful. I bore it and waited till morning got to the hospital around 9:30am, complained to my doctor and he said I should continue to time it and wait till the pain get intense, okay ooo let's wait and see. He said he would have induced me but he can't cos of my previous scar that I just have to allow nature take its cause. Went back home to bring my bag and rest small cos I didn't rest at midnight. Immediately I jumped on the bed, I felt a veryyy painful contraction again my dh was afraid and told me to let's head back to the hospital. I was having very painful contraction at 7mins interval before we got to the hospital. On getting there I got admitted my doctor was kind of busy so I was facing the contraction all by myself with dh, the guy was pitying me at every scream. My God the pains were toooo much for me. Doctor came in and said madam I have to check u he wore his glove seeped his hands inside me I was shouting Jesusssssss doctor remove your hand I don't want to be checked again the man no free until he finished achieving his aim, after that he noe said madam you are 2cm dilated you have posterior cervix ( naso I remember nicloe's story) so he will have to forceeeee his fingers inside me again and do sweep membrane for me. I shouted and said what? Firstly I thought you will tell me I was already 7 or 8cm after the checkup and there is no how you will poke that your hands inside me again hmmm doctor said madam you are a drama that's how labour is ooo shebi I was the one that wants to experience labour that I should pls let him help me and do membrane sweep. I said OK if you do membrane sweep how many hours or minutes will it take me to birth my baby( this was around 3pm) he said maybe by 7 or 10 pm that he can't safe the actual time. I was confused with intense pain my hubby was scared as I was screaming inn between contractions. I said doctor I don't want labour again pls I want another cs, he said madam pls easy I shouted easy with this pain at just 2cm? My hubby supported me and said doctor pls I can't bear her with this pain for almost another 5,6,7 hours pls do d cs. Okkk, doctor started preparing the theater I was shouting doctor pls be fast now answer me you are too slow. Am last we went to the theatre was still having veryyy painful contractions but as soon as the operation started I was relieved. I the next 10 minutes my prince charming was brought out weighing 3.8 kg. I was cleaned and my recovery has been wonderful. I got up to walk the next day and started breastfeeding my baby yesterday. We will be discharged today to d glory of God.
Hmmm my hubby told the doctor that it should be mandatory for all husbands to be there in the labour room with their wives while giving birth that on no account should a man be absent in the labour process whether cs or virginal deliver. He really felt for women and was praising me( he traveled during our first born deliver and d birth was an emergency).
Oh God I now know I don't have any threshold for pain I wonder what I will go through if I didn't do cs? The pain na baba. I salute all of una wey dey have virginal delivery ko easy ooooo. Although I was afraid of so many things before I concluded with cs, firstly if after labouring for hours and later ended up with cs I won't forgive myself, secondly my first cs was wonderful no much pain after delivery I was able to wash cloth even before namining day so I was sure I can withstand the after pain. I just guess body and inner determination plays a big role in delivery process. I wish all pregnant women and intending pregnant women easy delivery according to their heart desires. Praise God it ended in praise as I wanted. Hmmm doctor said I can deliver through cs for up to 5times now if I want with modern technology but me I no want up to that sha. Belle slicing all the way for me sha. Sorry am talking too much but I will still come and write about what I experienced in the theatre when they made me sleep I was in another world unlike my first when I didn't sleep during the process. Have experienced both now. My remaining April mama wish you sweet delivery.

What do I do about this pelvic pain.Its killing me and I'm just 17weeks+.No infection scan is fine.I sleep like a drugged person.Dh has been so supportive,the heat is killing.Ever since the storm of last week tuesday,Aedc has taken light and till date we have been surviving on generator.
