Wawa/abakaliki buffons will not rest because of this news. Watch as they invade this thread with their pained mgbeke skulls(if they haven't already). The completion of this airport will signal the death of the overrated airport in Enugu and significantly lower patronage of the asaba airport, so Anambra people should always be on the guard as wawa people will make this airport in Umueri the focus of the discussion/destruction in their various covens. |

The $2b will likely include cost of construction of access road to the airport , cost of constructing Access pipes from orient refinery , the cost of storage facilities for the agricultural products which will be exported from the airport, cargo handling facilities and equipment. The cost of airport infrastrutral development , buildings , hotels , power supply and generation , water supply and production , waste management etc. Every reasonable person should support this project as no Niger Delta money is going into it and no money from the federation account will be used in it . if you have travelled outside Nigeria you would have realised that Nigeria has no Airport. Anambra people should up the ante and build a world class International Airport comparable to what is obtainable in Dubai and South Africa, if Mbakwe did something siimilar under NPP in imo state , Obiano ought to learn and do something more spectacular and bigger as Mbakwe's Airport has been a life saver for igbos . possibly this Anambra Airport will open up igbo land to the outside world. Every south East state should not listen to Nay sayers and Toxic People but plan ahead and build world class Airports for exports , if Mbakwe got it right 36 years ago no body will get it wrong today. Build it for the users , without the Uli Airport igbos would have been a finished race . every igbo City if possible should build an international Airport while they can. 3 Likes |

Godprotectigbo5:Go over the thread again and see those who are really hating. I will keep saying it that once this airport at Umueri is completed, the one in Enugu will pack up, while the one at Asaba will be reduced to rendering skeletal services. Reasons; 1) Enugu airport is too far away and except some old anambra politicians who live there, no Anambra businessman will waste his time going there to land again. 2) The chaotic traffic situation on the Niger bridge, coupled with the frequent harassment by customs, police and the army on commuters trying to enter Onitsha through the bridge, will discourage Anambra passengers from continued patronage of the Asaba airport. That is why you see their wawa/abakaliki pained mgbeke skulls wailing all over this thread that Obiano should instead build rail tracks from Enugu and Asaba to Anambra state! LOL. Ndi ara. |

Guyman02:Because we want to kill those two airports. It is time for all Igbo states to stand on their own, not always hiding behind Anambra's back. Enugu airport will not survive the coming on-stream of this Umueri international airport, so you wawa people better start thinking of how you can downgrade it to a heliport. |

deomello: Every multinaira projects must have MOU to start with, question is what do your understanding of the MOU. It states that project is expected to be completed in 3years if economy still same as it is when MOU was signed. However project like this can take more time based on reality |

EVILFOREST:Anambra people have every reason to be proud, because as head of all igbos, we lead and others follow. On d contrary. wawa/abakaliki people have nothing to be proud of except when they hide behind d prowess of d Anambra man. You guys are d fulanis of the east. When an Anambra man wants labourers for odd jobs like soak-away clearing, gate-keeping, houseboy/girl, it is usually you wawa/abakaliki lowlives we go for. The airports in enugu and asaba are currently being sustained by anambra patronage. With this new anambra airport, things will fall apart for both of them. The airport in owerri is currently being sucked of passengers by d one in portharcourt. I wonder who designated it as a cargo airport in d first place when d only cargoes in Imo are prostitutes |

Another white elephant project! What comparative advantage does Anambra have in food export or import? Are u aware that biggest airlines are also biggest air cargo operators? So Ethiopian airlines would fly passengers to Enugu from Dubai and then fly cargo from Dubai to Nsugbe given than it's less than 100km apart. Also, Asaba Airport is less than 50km away. This Chinese front company doesnt exist in real world infrastructure development. It does not have any track record of building any aiport anywhere in the world. |
Re: Obiano Signs Anambra Airport MOU (Pictures) by nonsobaba: 3:59pm On Apr 12, 2017 |
BigIyanga:Ethiopian airlines will shift base to Umueri when they see that the larger percentage of their passengers in the southeast have moved from Enugu to Umueri International airport. |

Re: Obiano Signs Anambra Airport MOU (Pictures) by nonsobaba: 4:17pm On Apr 12, 2017 |
BigIyanga:Your ignorance is as evident as your wawa/abakaliki pained skull. It is both a passenger and a cargo airport. It was designed that way to ensure that the overrated airport in enugu doesn't survive at all and the one in Asaba is starved of traffic. |
Re: Obiano Signs Anambra Airport MOU (Pictures) by BigIyanga: 5:14pm On Apr 12, 2017 |
nonsobaba:It's cargo Airport and folks like you are congenitally incapable of grasping how aviation industry works. Enugu has the first mover advantage when it comes to aviation in the east, yet it has only one intl operator. NCAA will grant license to new operator and Ethiopia has license to land and take off in Enugu. Anambra Governor cant tell airlines where to land or take off; its the FG that exercises that power. |
