Bro, getting a job offer while in Nigeria is like asking Buhari to resign because of bad health. With your age, best bet is to go through PNP or if your spouse is younger and has a Masters, let her be the PA olugere: 2 Likes |

Onlineise: You only go for your upfront medical when you receive your ITA and you are about to submit. Note that you are required to upload the e-Medical Information Sheet you receive from your doctor after your medical appointment. Clear...? 1 Like |

Hi Guys, thanks to all who have contributed to this topic. I started the journey by reading from page zero, and trust me it's been worth the effort. Below is my timeline, hoping to keep updating as milestones are reached. I will be participating in the discussion henceforth so as to contribute my quota to this pool of knowledge. My advice to aspiring pool candidates; 1. Make extensive research- I had all my questions answered right here on this topic! 2. If you're about to take your IELTS, please concentrate more on Listening and Reading. If I had 8 in Listening, my score would have been 478! Hoping for over 4k invitations and 420- in next draw. Hi Your ietls result looks almost good, have you considered a remark while its still fresh. Only 15k extra compared to the cost so far, while you wait for ITA, please don't let that result slide. Lordnath: |

Have you calculated your score with crs calculator(google crs calculator) , your wife is younger should be the applicant . If she gets good score for ielts am sure you will get upto 400. Ontario gives PNPs to 400 and above . You need to get yourself and wife ielts and do your ECA and get in the pool as fast as possible . The earlier the better . There is a possibility that by June the cut-off mark will start shooting up. Goodluck olugere: |

I was going to suggest a remark too and look at writing another too if deep down you know you didn't do well in the lsitening . If you know a .5 will pump your score to 470 think about it Bimpsy99: 1 Like |

Finally so this ITA reach me... Praise be to God. This Canada journey really requires a lot of patience. I started the process since April 2016. By August I entered d pool and my score was 433. I gave up all hope. If I took anoda ielts and maxed out with my spouse it will only fetch me additional 10 pts. I just had a believe that scores will fall. I even applied for SINP twice but was deemed ineligible because of NOC not in demand. I was always with mixed feelings whenever people fill dis thread with excitement on getting ITA. Thank God today I finally got mine. After I lost 5pts on my birthday in February I felt another urge to retake ielts. I just decided to chill until June to see how d draws play out. I was gutted when scores moved up from 434 to 441 after a 3+weeks interval in March. Was surprised when I opened this thread this morning to see that there has been another ITA deluge and the cut off was 423. For all those who have endured this long wait like me for ITA I say congratulations. In d end our efforts didn't go to waste. For those still in the pool just hang in there. Do your best to maximize your points and stay hopeful. Canada is going to fulfill all our dreams....Remain blessed pple! 11 Likes |

optionese: Thanks, my passport expired and I may not get passport as soon as possible because passport problem in the country, u know one can only used passport to do ielts. So may be I will think something else, as by June the thing may shoot up. How many days can one do ECA and how much is it, I learnt ielts is 68k. |

Bimpsy99: @Bimpsy99 I thought of that too. But Listening section is objective. If it was subjective sections like Writing and Speaking, I would have challenged the result. Furthermore, I have maximum CRS points from all sections but Listening. Pls reply if you disagree. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Lordnath(m): 3:22pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
optionese: I think my result in Listening reflects my performance, I switched off during the map reading section...unfortunately. So my plan is to hang on for two more rounds and see changes to CRS before rewriting IELTS. |
