It looks like Karanka will be Algeria's manager. Good choice.

Algeria Appoint Spaniard As Coach With Almost Impossible Task Of Qualifying For World Cup

The Algerian Football Federation have announced Lucas Alcaraz as the successor to Georges Leekens, few days after he was dismissed as coach of struggling La Liga outfit Granada.

The 50-year-old Spaniard has agreed a two-year deal with the FAF, with a renewal option for two additional years.

In recent years, Alcaraz coached Levante and Elche and had experience abroad with Greek club Aris Thessaloniki.

The Super Eagles lead the so-called Group of Death with six points from two matches, and it looks like an impossible task for the new Algerian manager to revive the 2018 World Cup qualifying hopes of the the Fennecs.

The North Africans were without a coach for three months following the resignation of Georges Leekens.

NFF Disagrees With Rohr On Ola Aina – He Is Yet To Commit To Nigeria, But Akpom Switch Is Likely

The international future of Chelsea full back Ola Aina is yet to be sorted out despite claims by coach of the senior Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr about the teen full back pledging his international future to Nigeria ahead of England.

Rohr confirmed during an interview on popular Sports Radio station in Nigeria BrilaFm that Aina has committed his future to the Super Eagles, but a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation, who spoke with respected Nigerian journalist Oluwashina Okeleji says the England youth international is yet to fully commit to Nigeria.

The NFF source however confirmed that the football house has started processing the switch of Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom , who according to the source has shown more commitment than Aina. He however ruled out any immediate approach for Everton Ademola Lookman who is reportedly keen on progressing through the youth ranks of the English national team.

” He (Aina) trained with us in March. We haven’t applied for his switch because he hasn’t given us his full commitment. It’s very difficult with Ademola Lookman because he feels he is a key player for England youth side. But we’ve made positive steps with Akpom”, the NFF source told Okeleji.

Chuba Akpom is going nowhere fast.

He has not been able to cut it beyond youth football, in this regard I do not rate him. He is simply using the branding of Arsenal to gain leverage.

Actually, most of their articles are hyperboles....literally. I think what they do is troll twitter, Facebook, and other websites to pick a few snippets of news and then blow them out of proportion.

Take the case of Sunday Oliseh escaping death. When I saw the headline, I was wondering whether they were referring to the same twitter post that I read or something else. To me, they thrive in propaganda.

Report: Liverpool send scouts to watch Henry Onyekuru, fee has risen since Celtic's January bid

Olly Dawes
@O_DawesSport

Bournemouth , Liverpooland Southamptonhave reportedly joined Celtic in the race to sign Nigerian star Henry Onyekuru.

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp
According to the Daily Mail, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Southampton have been scouting Eupen star Henry Onyekuru, rivalling Celtic for his signature.

Onyekuru, 19, joined Belgian side Eupen from the Aspire Academy in the summer of 2015, and scored six goals in 19 appearances to help them win promotion to the top flight.

The attacker has really shot to prominence this season though, racking up an impressive 17 goals and seven assists in 33 games in all competitions, attracting major interest in the process.

Capable of playing out wide or up front, the pacey Nigerian has taken Belgian football by storm, and the Daily Mail report that Liverpool – as well as Premier League rivals Bournemouth and Southampton – have been scouting him of late.

The teenager looks set for a big move this summer, as whilst Eupen managed to keep hold of their star man in January, Onyekuru went AWOL in a bid to force a move, and will surely move on this time around.

Liverpool are looking for depth in attack, with a speedy winger needed to offer cover and competition for Sadio Mane on the right hand side of Jurgen Klopp's attacking trident – and Onyekuru fits the bill.

I totally agree with you on Akpom. On current form, I don't see him displacing anybody in the Super Eagles team today. In as much as we need to cap these guys, I think we ought to wait until they get regular playing time in their various clubs before we anoint them, as the best thing since slice bread.

The Super Eagles shirt should be E-A-R-N-E-D, not gifted.

I am somewhat perplexed, I know generally speaking your club form will be replicated in the national team set up, all things being equal. You can't be a mouse in your club and hope to be a lion in the SE.

We have invited players who have done nothing in thier clubs and indeed some who were injured and not played 1 first team game to the SE party.

Why wasn't Onyekuru invited, I am bewildered.

REDS EYE NIGERIAN YOUNGSTER ONYEKURU

Liverpool are interested in 19-year old Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru, but face competition from Southampton and Bournemouth.

Onyekuru plays for Belgian side Eupen and has been watched by Liverpool scouts in recent weeks, The Mail reports.

The youngster has scored 17 goals this season and contributed a further seven assists, catching the eye across the Channel.

His goal tally is all the more impressive given that he is predominantly a left-winger, though he can also play in the centre forward role or on the right.

Celtic reportedly lodged a £1 million bid in January but failed to meet Eupen’s asking price of £4 million, prompting Onyekuru to go on temporary strike in an effort to force through a move.

It is understood that the Jupiler Pro League outfit are willing to sell the starlet this summer for a fee in the region of £6.8 million.

Onyekuru could become the latest prospect to join the Liverpool ranks, with the likes of Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold emerging as future stars this season.

Jurgen Klopp will have to look elsewhere for young talent after the club were handed a two-year ban on signing domestic academy players.

Liverpool eye 19-year-old forward Henry Onyekuru but face competition from Southampton and Bournemouth

Liverpool, Southampton and Bournemouth are continuing to monitor highly-rated Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru.

The Premier League trio have been among clubs to send scouts to watch the 19-year-old in recent weeks playing for Belgian side Eupen.

Borussia Monchengladbach and Brugge have expressed interest in the exciting teenager, who tried and failed to push through a move to Celtic in January, however, he is aware of increasing interest from Premier League sides.

Onyekuru is predominantly a left winger but can play as a striker and on the right.

He has scored 15 goals this season including three in his last two games. The striker grabbed two in Eupen’s 2-2 draw with Roeselare before opening the scoring in a 2-0 win over Royal Excel Mouscron seven days later.

Celtic had offered £1million in January and Eupen demanded £4m. Onyekuru went AWOL and threatened to go on strike but ultimately resolved his differences with the club.

They will now agree to sell this summer but are looking for £6.8m owing to his form and the heightened interest.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Sevilla have also watched him this season.

Sir habayommy

I think first you need to research the best football academies in Nigeria. Because I believe you want the best for your younger brother.
Next try to find their contact and make inquiries. I think that's the professional way to do it.

e.g: http://www.pepsifootballacademy.com/contacts

I don't know of any backyard way. But Nigeria na Nigeria lol
NPFL clubs are being encouraged to have feeder teams now. Keep your ears open for trials.

That's my little take on the issue. I wish you and your brother the best! And I hope you give him the best advice when clubs in Europe start coming for him.

Modified:
Post videos of him in action. I'm sure we would all like to see.

Exclusive – CSKA Moscow Targets Super Eagles Latest Sensation Olarenwaju Kayode

Freshly capped Super Eagles Forward Olarenwaju Kayode is a primary target for Russian giants CSKA Moscow in the summer, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

The Austria Vienna forward was watched by scouts of the Russian side during the Super Eagles friendly game against Senegal in London last month, where Kayode had a debut to remember as his introduction alongside Isaac Success helped Nigeria find a way into the game which ended 1-1.

” He is among the players CSKA Moscow are targeting in the summer, for now the interest is still at infancy stage but it could happen in the summer when the transfer window opens. He was watched by scouts of the team during the Super Eagles friendly, and I think their recommendations will play a part in the summer”, a close associate of the former Nigeria junior international informed Owngoalnigeria.com.

Kayode has also been in fine form for Austria Vienna with 10 league goals to his name, he also scored five goals during their campaign in the Europa League, with his other goals coming in the Austrian Cup.

Atletico Madrid Linked Nigeria U-17 Star Yahaya Heading To Belgian Club Soon – Agent

The future of highly rated Nigerian teen forward Nazifi Yahaya could be sorted out in a few weeks time according to a member of the players agency representing the Kano Pillars teen sensation.

Yahaya caught the attention of scouts from Atletico Madrid during the recently concluded Guateng Future Champions Tournament in South Africa, but as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com he won’t be joining the La-Liga giants.

According to a member of UK based Diamond Sports Management , the talented 17 year old will in the coming days travel to Belgium as guest of a top division side , who are interested in signing the fleet footed forward when he turns 18.

” I just want to let you guys know that, we have no contact with Atletico Madrid for now on Nazifi Yahaya. The interest might be there because he is a good player but for now, the concrete interest in his services is in Belgium, and in few weeks time he might travel for talks with an interested party”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” We are currently trying to sort out his traveling papers, once that is done , we will reveal the name of the club he is heading to , but for now definitely not Atletico Madrid”.
