Fear Grips Nigeria Over International Future Of Chelsea Aina With England Set To Hand Him A Spot In Their National Team For WYC

The Super Eagles of Nigeria currently run the risk of losing fast rising Chelsea teen defender Ola Aina to the Three Lions of England despite the defender training with the Nigerian team in March.

Coach Gernot Rohr is however of a different view , as the Franco German coach of the Super Eagles told Brila Fm that Aina has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of England where he is presently a youth international.

Aina trained with the Super Eagles in London and even took part in a practice game but according to a top source of the Nigeria Football Federation, the 19 year old is yet to fully commit to Nigeria.

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that England have offered him a spot in their U-20 team to the next World Youth Championship as a bait to lure him away completely from Nigeria , who are reportedly set to cap him next month during their camping exercise in France.

The step taken by England has further delayed Aina from giving the Nigeria Football Federation the go ahead to start processing his switch from England to Nigeria ahead of the test games next month.

Shocker – Super Eagles Defender Musa Muhammed Struggling To Get Games In Bosnia For Zeljeznicar

Former Nigeria U-17 and 20 captain Musa Muhammed who is on loan to Bosnian side NK Zeljeznicar from Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir has surprisingly failed to nail a starting spot for the team.

The Super Eagles right back joined the team in January in search of playing time after failing to play a single league game in his 18 months stay with Istanbul Basaksehir has so far played just five games for the Bosnian outfit totaling 75 minutes.

In the league games he has played, he has mostly come in as a substitute but he started and played the entire duration of their cup game, his only start till date for the team.

Already , the 20 year old spot in the senior national team of Nigeria is seriously under threat as coach Gernot Rohr has warned him specifically to sort his club form or lose his spot in the team.

EBUEHI PLEASED TO WORK WITH CHELSEA PLAYERS IN NIGERIA CAMP

Tyronne Ebuehi

ADO Den Haag star Tyronne Ebuehi has disclosed that Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo, who is on-loan at Turkish side Alanyaspor, helped him settle into his first camp with the Nigeria.

The 21-year-old defender Ebuehi, who was born in Netherlands, was called up ahead of Nigeria's international friendly with Senegal in England last month.

"I will not forget," Ebuehi told De Posthoorn in an interview.
Ebuehi also stated that Gent defender William Troost-Ekong helped him during the Super Eagles camp which was held in England's capital city, London.

"William Troost-Ekong, who also has a Nigerian father and a Dutch mother, took me and showed me around," he added.

''Kenneth Omeruo also came right to me. Nigeria have players from Manchester City and Arsenal and that is a difference in operation speed with what I'm used to.''
Ebuehi was an unused substitute as the Super Eagles played to a 1-1 stalemate with the Lions of Teranga at the Hive Stadium in London.

The defender has made 25 appearances in the Dutch Eredivisie for Den Haag this season - netting once against Go Ahead Eagles last August.

Nigeria Vs South Africa : Arsenal Chuba Akpom In, China Based Odion Ighalo Out Of AFCON 2019 Qualifiers Tie

According to scoops gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial crew, coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has already drawn out names of players who are most likely going to be in the Super Eagles squad for the AFCON 2019 qualifiers tie against South Africa.

We gathered while there are doubts over Ola Aina making the squad as he is yet to fully commit himself to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, his fellow England youth international Chuba Akpom is set to be included in the squad.

Akpom’s inclusion will most likely come at the expense of Chanchung Yatai of China forward Odion Ighalo who has failed to justify his big money move to China from Watford , as he is yet to find the back of the net for his new side in four games.

Ighalo is on a goal drought which stretches back to his time at Watford, as his last goal came on the 10th of September 2016 where he found the back of the net in a 4-2 win for Watford over West Ham.

Although Akpom hasn’t fared any better with no goal in the 8 games he has played for his loan side Brighton & Hove Albion, Rohr views the 21 year old as a future prospect who could end up as one of the leaders of the team than Ighalo whose time with the team is coming to an end.

Hannover Announce Super Eagles Hopeful Bazee Will Miss The Niedersachsen Derby

Super Eagles hopeful Noah Bazee has been ruled out of the derby between Hannover and Eintracht Braunschweig at the HDI-Arena on Saturday, April 15.

The support striker resumed training with Hannover on Tuesday and had an individual session the following day.

Hannover manager Andre Breitenreiter revealed at Thursday's press conference that Bazee will not be available to the team or in other words he will not be included in the 18-man squad.

The German-born player with Nigerian roots has been struggling with a knee injury in recent weeks after missing the first ten games in the 2 Bundesliga due to a hip injury.

In 13 outings in the second-tier this term, Bazee has notched six assists and found the net against FC Heidenheim on game week 15.

NFF Okay Uyo Pitch For Super Eagles Vs Bafana

The Nigerian Football Federation technical committee have expressed satisfaction with the current state of the playing turf of Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo which is billed to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles and South Africa in two months, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

An NFF press release says the inspection team was led by the Chairman of NFF Technical and Development Committee Chris Green and inspected the facility, which hosted the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles and Tanzania in September 2016, as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying battle between the Eagles and the Fennecs of Algeria last year.

After the inspection, the team reported: “Every inch of the field is covered by grass and the grass is lush green. Julius Berger (the company that built the stadium) has commenced work on the field for the purpose of bringing it to the best standard possible. Every other facility is in good condition.

“The condition of the field, as it is now, is good enough for matches to be played on it. The Akwa Ibom State Government has continued to show desire and commitment to hosting the match.”

“We are delighted with the state of the playing turf and other facilities at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium,” Green told thenff.com.

“I can tell you that the pitch is just as it was when the Super Eagles played Algeria in the World Cup qualifier in November last year.

“The fact that Julius Berger has also started some work on the turf is even more re-assuring.

“They are adding manure, and afterwards will do cutting and rolling, and they have the benefit of the weather at this period. By the time we host South Africa on 10th June, the pitch will be one of the very best anywhere in Africa.”

Truth is that, he has come from the bench in a number of games.... The last few league games.

He has started a couple of games as well but mainly upfront.. This was a cup game.

He is not doing great but the tone is dismissive.

Good evening everyone‎

My younger brother has a passion for football . He's very talented and just 14 years old.
Please how can I get him into any these genuine football academies.

Thanks
Cc: tbaba1234, Joebie, danycrusoe,
Goldfish, daveP, etc ‎

just like Joebie as said Pepsi academy looks the best. However if u are based in Lagos COD fc academy is recommendable, they run that club in a very good manner, can say it is one of the top 5 professionally run football clubs in Nigeria, also Buruj academy owned by Obesere the popular fuji singer is a decent one, if you are in Ogun state u can take him to Remo stars on any match day that they would be playing at home or contact Remo stars on Facebook, if u are in Abuja, Fc Abuja is the best in that are as far as I am concerned. there are other academies scattered across the country but for now those are the few I can recommend.

you can also try the nearest NPFL or NNL club near u. More importantly let him participate in any inter-class or inter-school football competition arranged in your area with his class or school, that is how many got there breakthrough.

Good luck to him

see lie... This site can lie... No wonder de're called owngoal.

Where did de gather this info from. From the dustbin?

As much as I'm an advocate of capping foreign born players we need to understand that not all these boys are eagle's material and it will be better for us to leave these average players out than giving them 2-3run of games then dumping them.

Personally, I don't blame those turning us down de might feel they won't cut it in this present team.

We need to be cautious in our approach mostly, the media needs to be careful. It's not a do or die affair.

abi u are one of those commentators. lol can't forget "that was the ball that was going out that time" an ait commentator said this in a Nigerian match. Supersport 9ja commentators too are guilty, how I wish a foreign commentator was the one on duty when Olatunbosun scored that CNN goal of the week against rangers, it would have made the goal more exquisite, more romantic and more beautiful.

anyways it seems like we won't be listening to those types of commentaries anytime soon cuz it seems The NLO1 twitter handle made an error about the TV rights for the Nationwide league 1, it's not NTA who owns the right but a new indigenous pay TV called PIPUL TV, so we need to watch out

It is "most times".... not sometimes.... let us not be economical with the truth.

And he is struggling for games because Bosnia is not rated among even the modestly good leagues in Europe like Norway.

If he cannot start regularly in Bosnia then where else will he cut it? Abeg... let us be realistic... I wanna see Musa Mohammed grow and soar... I remember when he was playing for Nigeria and struggling at Istanbul BB, it was I who defended him and it was you who first said his shirt is under threat if he doesn't get games in Turkey... and even suggested he stays away from The national team until he sorts his club situation out.

Now he has left Turkey for a lowly league and he is still playing most games as a sub... and you are satisfied with that as game time.

I repeat.. if he cannot cut it as regular in Bosnia where else will he? (among the bigger leagues).

There is no official list flying around to say Ighalo has been dropped... this is them being deductive and analytically predictive again.

The guy was barely getting a look-in in Turkey so his condition is better. Also, he is joining a team that is doing very well in Bosnia with an established team.

I have watched a couple of the games and he has been decent.

Ofcourse, he has to step it up but i would not call his condition struggling at the moment.

I wanna see Musa get more game time than he is raking in now in Bosnia.

I am not satisfied.

For crying out loud... this is Bosnia of all leagues.... He needs to top the class at this level or be close to achieving that. He needs to be a regular in lowly Bosnia not a sub who gets 20-25mins on average each game...

Xhaka To Arsenal Fans – Iwobi Has Everything You Need In An Attacker, Fast, Strong & Deadly

Under-performing Arsenal Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi who has been demoted to the U-23s has received backing from his first team teammate Granit Xhaka.

Iwobi has failed to hit same height like last season around this time of the year last year , when he broke into the first team of Arsenal. A form which has made him the target of fans of the club as Arsenal continue their struggle to break into the top four.

Xhaka is however of a different opinion regarding the potentials of the Nigerian, as according to him the 20 year old stunned him when he first came to the club , before adding that Iwobi has all what is needed in a forward.

“Alex Iwobi. I wouldn’t say it’s a surprise but I didn’t know much about him before I signed. He’s one of the best young players and he’s got everything you’d want in an attacker; fast, strong & a great finisher”, Xhaka said.
