snapscore: Nigerians in Qatar? Like 1 or 2? To get into Qatar, you first of all need to know a citizen and they have to couch for you coming in and that'd just the beginning. Trust me there are not as many Nigerians over there as you think and even if they are they are probably not legal residents. |

Come to Nigerian embassy London and you will see Nigerian incompetence / corruption at its peak, have we forgotten the nonsense we all witnessed been played out to the world audience by Nigerian embassy In Canada.. If the Indians and Kenyans are providing better service than folks usually appointed based on nepotism from Nigeria by all means let them man our embassies.. 2 Likes 1 Share |

davidif: There are many Nigerians in Qatar ( and many searching for a job). A simply advertisement in Gulf time or Qatarliving will be sufficient for the embassy to recruit Nigerians in Qatar. This is if they don't want to bring Nigerians from Nigeria. To get into Qatar, you first of all need to know a citizen and they have to couch for you coming in and that'd just the beginning.Knowing a citizen isn't always necessary. Residents of other nationalities (as long as they are in Qatar) can help one obtain with a visiting visa. You can also come on business visa. I know someone who did and was searching for a job. Trust me there are not as many Nigerians over there as you think and even if they are they are probably not legal residents. Not from what I have seen. |

lilfreezy: Do you have an idea how difficult it is to get a visa to Qatar? Or you think you can just fly there and start working? Qatar and Saudi Arabia are some of the most difficult countries to get a visa to get into. Also this is standard practice. If you go to American embassy you would see a lot of Nigerians working there so what's the big deal? |

A country where unemployment drives their citizens to go tend Camels and do odd jobs in Arab countries prefers to employ Indians and Kenyans at their embassies. Lmao! The Zoo at it again. 2 Likes

snapscore: So wait you are saying that a highly sensitive position like an embassy worker should be advertised in a paper? Does that even sound like a smart idea knowing the risks of that. And if so, do you even think it's free to even advertise in a paper in the first place? Do you not know that you have to buy ad space from the paper first? |
Re: "Indians And Kenyans Working At The Nigerian Embassy In Qatar" - Twitter User by awolam: 9:20am On Apr 14, 2017 |
YelloweWest: To clarify further: Nigerians are not allowed to visit Qatar on either tourist or visit visa (except for a relative/spouse sponsored by a Nigerian working in Qatar). The only way to reside in Qatar is only through company sponsorship (You must be offered employment by a Qatar based company). Nigerians CAN work if the Nigerian government employs them at the embassy. No excuses. BTW: Indians also work at the Nigerian embassy in UAE. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This right here is the reason why the Nigerian passport will remain almost irrelevant. .. Oh... when will competent leaders rise up, to salvage the worth of Nigerias image? 2 Likes |

ElsonMorali:Now someone is speaking with senses! Thank you! First of all Consular officials are to have diplomatic clearance if the consulate is recognised by the country. If a Nigerian consular official can't be given clearance for an assignment then the High commission must issue a petition to the foreign affairs ministry, this has nothing to do with labour. 1 Like 1 Share |

BiafraIShere: Do you know whether those Indian and kenyan have Nigerian citizenship ? So where there're alternatives, Incompetent Nigerian should be employed just because they're Nigerian? This is the Same things we accuse SA of . You're beginning to sound xenophobic |

Re: "Indians And Kenyans Working At The Nigerian Embassy In Qatar" - Twitter User by Nobody: 9:29am On Apr 14, 2017 |
davidif: If the positions were highly sensitive enough then they would have brought Nigerians from Nigeria who can take those positions. The fact they they are employing Indians and Kenyans for a job Nigerians can do shows that they don't care at all. Lastly, not all positions in the embassy are sensitive (cleaners, receptionists). And if so, do you even think it's free to even advertise in a paper in the first place? Do you not know that you have to buy ad space from the paper first? But hiring people is free? Do you really think the embassy that cannot spend less than 300 riyals for an ad but can hire people for over 1000 (least) monthly? Is our embassy that poor? Honestly, if the embassy intended to hire Nigerians, it would do so with no excuses. |

Muafrika2:Your point is still pointless bro! Africans dont share names! We dont have mutually intelligible names Kunle, Biodun, Tinubu, Olusegun etc are Yorubas, same way Emeka, Obasi, Nnamdi, Chukwu etc are Igbo names and even if you see such names in London or Australia you will still know their nationality! A Kenyan shouldnt be mistaken for a Zambian or Gambian. Except you are ignorant of African ethnicities, cultures, languages etc. 4 Likes |

optimusprime2: First of all, do you know me from somewhere? Secondly, if you do you need to calm down and stop being to emotional about this. Thirdly, take off your nationalistic hat and look at it from a logical standpoint. There is not too many Nigerians in Qatar ib the first place which makes sense since qatar isca difficult country to get into so it probably makes sense to hire the next best thing they can find. Lastly, y'all need to stop being so hyped up about this. Aint none of yall ever being to Qatar or the embassy there to find out the facts on the ground but here you guys are jumping to conclusions. Goodness gracious! Like someone once said nationalism will be the death of us all. I am beginning to believe it. |

Ask yourself. .... is the embassy working better than those with all Nigerian employees?.....have you read of problems and protests at this embassy? .... if this is all the person was upset about then it is a good thing because they were professional the embassy was functioning well. This is not the only embassy where they employ foreign nationals and I can see the reasoning behind it. It cuts down on corruption and favouritism..... no special treatment because of tribe or politics or if one be oga or celebrity. |

Chinese Language Studies Summer Program. PLCHC classroom As with the Academic Year Program, students are only admitted on a full-time basis, and classes run from mid-July to early August. Class structure and size for the summer program are generally the same as for the Academic Year Program. Rolling Admissions Policy for Summer Applicants! While there is an official summer deadline, we often review summer applications after this deadline, and we encourage late summer applicants to e-mail the administrative office to see if we're still accepting late summer applications. Admission is competitive, and it is recommended that you send in all of your summer application materials at least a couple of weeks before the official summer deadline due to limited space at PLCHL language center.
