Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 11:19pm On Apr 13, 2017 |
The most honest way I know to approach this subject is to take a look at absolutely everything that the Bible says about the first day of the week. There are only eight texts in the New Testament that refer to Sunday, and by carefully studying these verses we can be certain that all the evidence for consideration is before us. If there is any biblical authority for keeping the first day of the week, it will have to be found in one of these verses. 2 Likes |

Are we willing to face the consequences of this kind of exhaustive study? Here is where our prejudice will be tested! Can we open our minds completely to whatever this objective search reveals? These are not trick questions. Personally, I do not care which day is found to be the Sabbath. If the Bible teaches it, I will gladly keep Monday, Thursday, Friday, or Sunday. Long ago, I decided to be a Christian and to follow the Word of God wherever it would lead, regardless of my feelings. It makes no difference to me which day I keep holy, as long as it is the one commanded in the Bible! I hope you feel the same way. I therefore urge you to follow the link in the next post to examine of every single reference in the New Testament that mentions the first day of the week. |

Answer: No Sabath day is on Saturday not Sunday, thanks to Catholics who changed it. so they can worship the sun(holy sacrament) and Queen of heaven (A demon) but it doesn't matter where or when you choose to worship him. So far you worship him in Spirit and in truth. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. John:4:21 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John:4:23 |

If God went to sleep on the seventh day and Christ is worshipped on Sunday then who are they (Sunday churchgoers) praying to? Because God is sleeping, unless you are trying to wake him up and serve him on his day of sleeping . . . God worked a whole six days and now on Sunday morning he’s laying in his bed. This is how he makes this sound. God is sitting in his chair, or laying in his bed he goes to sleep on Sunday morning, and you go to church on Sunday morning and go, “oh God, oh God, oh God.” Then you’re wondering why your prayers are not being answered. The reason why your prayers are not being answered is quite simple; because God sleeps on Sunday. You have to change the day; try Wednesday when God is up working. Have you ever tried to disturb your mother and father when they were working or sleeping? You don’t thank God for health and the gifts that you have. You’re in church on Sunday begging for more stuff. |

NoWorries7:Does it really matter d particular day to go to Church and rest from work or not. Sabath no longer exists in d dictionary of Christians There is no more a holy day apart from anyday we choose to sanctify. I can choose to sanctify anyday and call it a day for and my God. Even Jesus constantly derided d Sabath day and yet churches like seventh adventist cannot grow up to stop preaching sabath upandan? I dnt care if d initial choice was a day to suite d worship of sun God or not. All days were made by God and there is no day we choose to honor God dat he wont accept the honor 1 Like |

zionmade: Do you think Christianity is freestyle? What makes you think that GOD would accept your own choices over His in worshiping Him? Who told Christians to disregard the Sabbath? If it is not GOD, "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?" Lam. 3:37 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 11:20am On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:Yeah Christianity is freestyle. because grace makes it to be so. So u think ur doings and undoings makes u deserve d love of God? In all the activities of Jesus does it look like he regarded the sabath? Apart from d fact dat he will to synagogue dat day. So its d sabath day u want to keep abi, how many other old testament laws given on dat same time do u obey. All these holder dan thou believers i call u guys hypocrites 1 Like |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 11:28am On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: No, I obey GOD because I love Him and because He saved me(Jn. 14:15). Jesus surely regarded the Sabbath day highly(Matt. 5:17-19), and as a follower of Christ one has no reason to do otherwise. Yes, I strive to obey the 10 Commandments, as Eccl. 12:13 and 1 Cor. 7:19, among many other passages, instruct us. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 1:38pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:No1 I DNT TRY TO OBEY GOD. 2.Jesus harvested ears of corn on the sabath day d same with his disciples. Jesus didnt rest on the sabath day, he did his major job of healing on dat day. The only times the sabath was mentioned in the new testament was only to show why Jesus was in d Synagogue The commandment was a school master to lead the Israeltes into canaan and it was not meant for me. The only commandment i was given was to Serve God with all my heart and den love Before u start ranting over my number one There is a different between driving a car in the direction of someone who wants to lead u to somewhere and allowing the person drive d car while u sit back and watch. The Holy spirit is God and he is one with my spirit so d day i surrendered my life to him he drives my life so i dnt needs to try to obey him, he has d key and d steering so he drives |

NoWorries7:You are completely ignorant. The Catholic sabbath is Saturday not Sunday. Sunday is the Day of the Lord. But of course you don't know the difference. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 3:25pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
Papist: Sunday is not the day of the Lord. Certainly, the Lord never claimed Sunday as His day anywhere in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Check Isa. 58:13 to see the day He claims as His, and which we can Biblically call "the Lord's day". 1 Like |

Papist: The Catholic sabbath is Saturday not Sunday This statement is incorrect sir. The Catholic church itself would be offended that you stated that. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 3:39pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: Rom. 3:23 says that all have sinned. 1 Jn. 3:4 says that sin is the transgression of the Law. Now if those who are not Israelites have sinned too, which law did they transgress? What about those who lived before Sinai? If they have sinned too, which law did they transgress? Bear in mind that there is no sin where there is no law(Rom. 4:15), and that sin is the transgression of the law. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 3:57pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:I dnt want to start going deep into d person of John and Paul because they were different. Paul defined sin as anything not done by faith. Ok lets talk about d law. Start by listing d laws of moses dat Jesus abolished according to d bible before i start Quoting laws from exodus to deutronomy. Or u think d 10commandment is d only law abi. D law said thou shall not kill period (no condition attached ) . But God instructed d wiping off of d amalekites why? So answer my 2 questions so dat i can go to where i packed d law and start bringing them out. I live by grace and i am justified by grace and not by d law |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 4:03pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: You never answered my questions. Instead, you're trying, by your answer, to imply that GOD is inconsistent. GOD could have rained down fire and brimstone upon Amalek, but He chose to eliminate them through human agency. Thus, it was GOD executing Judgment on Amalek, not Israel killing them. The 10 Commandments are different from the ritual laws. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 5:15pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:Dats wat u were told? The ten commandments is just a part out of d entire law. It was not distinguished for any reason so wen u obey one u must obey d rest. Let me even play along wit u on d law bla bla bla Holy means sanctified and wat do u understand by sanctified? After d death of Jesus how many times was sabath mentioned? Wat do u understand by sacred? Do u know d law was not meant for a gentile? Do u know dat uncircumcision is not a sin? Do u know dat d bible say dat d law could not justify us? Do u know we are only justified by faith? Wat happened wen Paul said That d law was unto death? Do u know dat John still ministered to d Jews throughout his ministry? Dat is why he quoted dat scripture I need u to make reference to paul because dat was d person who had d ministry to d gentiles |

zionmade: Listen to Paul: "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good." Rom. 7:12 "Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God." 1 Cor. 7:19 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10 |

"For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law." James 2:11. I believe the Person also said "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy..." 1 Like |

zionmade, A clear distinction is made between the 10 Commandments and the ceremonial law. "And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God" (Exodus 31:18). "And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables" (Exodus 32:16). The 10 Commandments were written by GOD Himself on tablets of stones(signifying durability), and they were put INSIDE the Ark. Now, read Deuteronomy 31:24-26 to see that: 1. Moses was the one who wrote the ceremonial laws in a book, whereas GOD Himself wrote the 10 Commandments on stones. 2. The book of the law written by Moses was put BESIDE the Ark, whereas the stones were inside the Ark. 3. The law which Moses wrote was a witness against Israel. This was never said about the 10 Commandments. 1 Like |

Deut. 4:36; 5:22, "Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: ...These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me." It's important to notice that after God wrote the Ten Commandments, he "added no more" to this Law, yet God gave Moses statutes, precepts, judgments, and ordinances afterwards. If the Mosaic law was part of the Ten Commandments, there would be a contradiction here, because God did add more to this law! But there was no contradiction, because God considered the Ten Commandments to be a separate Law. The Ten Commandments were spoken by God himself to the people, so that God would instruct them. There was no mediator involved! Moses was not the mediator of the Ten Commandments. But he was the mediator of the sacrificial laws(Exod. 33:9; 2 Chron. 34:14). cc: zionmade. 1 Like |

DoctorAlien:So u even know ur way to Romans 7 and u think i dnt know d bible dat u wud just pop up 7:12 forgetting dat i also know wat Romans 7:1-5 was talking about. Let me allow u do the teaching wat exactly did Paul mean there by his illustration? Quoting 1 corr 7:19 even makes me think u are very confused. Now Is circumsion not included in God's commandments? Or were u taught dat God gave only 10commandments? How come we can do away with d 3rd most important law? Do u know dat before u are qualified to obey d ten commanents during d Moses day dat U MUST BE CIRCUMCISED? So u want to pop up here and tell me circumsion is not God's commandment too? I told u to quote only Paul and i made it clear |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 6:24pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: Calm down. "Circumcision" is a symbol for the Jews, while "uncircumcision" is a symbol for the Gentiles. Now apply this understanding to 1 Cor. 7:19 1 Like |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 6:25pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:So God wrote d 10 commandments and Moses wrote d law? Bro see confusion ooo So the book u read in school was written by a typist and not a proffesor? Bro stop disappointing me. Wen God asked dem to stone an adulterous woman, was it an ordinance? Or law? Bros u want me to believe dat d only relevant thing in d entire old testament was dat 10 commandment because God wrote it? Bros ur type crucified Jesus on the cross. Holier than thou pharisees. Finally d soldiers dat crucified Jesus, according to d law, wat wrong did they do? Afterall d punishment of profaning d law was death, or didnt Jesus profane d sabath law? |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 6:28pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:Hahahahahah so d law was also for gentiles abi? Bros Circumcision was not only for d Jews. It was for every offspring of Abraham, both d edomites, moabites who were not Jews were circumcised |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 6:44pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: Read Exod. 20:10 and Eccl. 12:13 to see that the law was to be kept by the gentiles too. |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 6:51pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:Why? because they were in their territory. Are we in Israel? Bro come on u can do better tell me why i shud keep d law as a gentile. But i can forget about Circumcision even though i am a seed of Abraham. 1 Like |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by DoctorAlien(m): 7:16pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
zionmade: Because sin is the transgression of the Law. You sin if you willfully break GOD's Law(1 Jn. 3:4). Also, you don't love GOD if you don't keep His commandments(1 Jn. 5:3; 3:24; 2:3). Keeping GOD's commandments is the duty of man, not the Jews alone(Eccl. 12:13). |
Re: Is Sunday Really Sacred? by zionmade(m): 7:55pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
DoctorAlien:Lol u re just running up and down aimlessly. Jesus said if u love me keep my commandments. And d only commandment Jesus gave was to Love God with all ur heart and to love ur neighbor as urself. So is ther any other commandment Jesus gave dat i dnt know of? D way i see it u cant even distinguish between d law and commandment. So wat did Paul exactly mean by saying dat we are loosed from d bounds of d law by virtue of our death in Christ? Roman 7:1-5 Do u want to tell me dat God has only 10 commandments? Then why is a Christian free to be uncircumcised? because Circumcision is a foundation to fulfill other laws? 1 Like |
