Hello house.I'm new and happy to be here.I'm an intending application who.just secured admission from a college in british Columbia for a thirteen months diploma as an access to nursing program.I'm tempted to use an agent as she promises success but from I read on the thread.Alot of people have done it themselves. Please can someone put me through on how to go about this and also is it possible to go along with my husband and son for study.thank you, contributions will be appreciated
It's good that you found this thread. You need to state your previous education/work history in other to get advice on what you should do to av an itch free trv.

As regards your hubby and son, it's possible but you need more financial strength to do that and a well worded SOP to convince the VO as to why they are accompanying you in other not to see you as an applicant who wants to immigrate via studies. We do advice put to apply alone so that your hubby n son can stand as ur primary hometie amongst others. When u successful secure your TRV, your hubby can apply for SOWP wch is easier than trying to take all family along to study, alot of issues had to b ironed out on that. I wish you all d best and let me say u don't need any agent to secure your TRV. Many have secured theirs by the help of gurus and other people on this thread free of charge. All u need is ask detail questions to get coincised answers. Wish u all d best.

Take note of the bold above.

Hello guys, please I need your expertise on this quickly.
Can a trv application be rejected because an undergraduate course is not the same as the one for graduate? Even though they are related e.g. Electrical and Electronics engineering for undergrad and Computer science for graduate course? Because in electrical and electronics engineering we can have computer architecture and also wireless networks which is also in computer science. And do I need to convince the VO that they are related? Would that help?

I dont think so.. But you have to prove to the VO why you which to divert to Compt Sci instead of going for MSc or MEng in ECE

Hello guys,
I'm about to reapply for my study permit after being denied twice based on Insufficient funds, family tie in canada and home country, travel history, current employment situation, purpose of visit and personal and financial asset.
I have secured a scholarship worth 25KUSD, and I'm thinking of using my mentor as a Co sponsor(she is not related to je but i wotked wit her dusing mybinder graduate internship). However, I'm aware that I need to prove relationship with any sponsor I choose to use. Please how can I prove this?
Secondly, I did my medicals late last year when I applied initially. I however want to renew my international passport because it has just 11 months validity on it (counting from my start date- sept 2017) and my course is a two year msc programme snd cic has adiced that applicants shold ensure that the vsliding of their pas sports exceeds the time they're aplying to stay . My current passport number is in my medical result. When I get my new international passport (hopefully) would I have to re-do the medicals? And when filling the IMM 1294 form, which of the passport numbers should I make use of?
Thirdly, I am currently unemployed but Im running some professional courses. What can I use to show home tie?
How can I tackle the travel history and purpose of visit?

Thankyou

Am new to this page and would need your collective advise as i would like to further my studies in Canada. i graduated with a 2.2 (CGPA 3.47/5.0), what are my chances for admission into a masters program? Also, i would like to know if there's anyone currently running a PGD program over there.

Does it matter if your passport validity is not up to 2 years. You can renew it over there is think
I also believe you won't be able to renew it now until it's about 6 months to expiry

Thanks for your response but I have been to the immigration office. The officer said it is possible but they'll have to seek approval from abuja. So if it gets approved, they can issue a new passport to me. I want to know if I should use the new passport number or the old one in my application. And should I attach the two of them and explain to the vo why I had to renew? I am concerned about this because I've heard unpleasant stories about the nigerian high commission in canada. More so, my school isn't even in ottawa so I'm also considering the cost thats gonna be involved.
Again, CIC says they can't give study permit beyond the validity of one's international passport so that'll mean two things: getting a new passport and applying for study permit extension.

I will say to the latter part of ur post, yes IRCC will not issue a permit beyond d validity of your passport, there is no big deal in all this, if u eventually get approved with dis old passport, study permit extension is a sure thing u wud get in Canada once your LOA reads the end date of ur proposed course. And ur passport can always be renewed in Canada. All d above stated is way too easy and almost lik an auto-play when you get to that bridge. But all d same d ball is in ur court.

The response is quite slow generally, I know people that submitted February on this thread and yet to be called for medicals. Lets all b hopeful I applied March 6.

is it possible for the trv be granted by this time for someone who is to commence by sept. or does the embassy wait for it to reach sept or closer before issuing it out even if the person applied early?

Thanks Eraytee. Unfortunately, my LOA doesn't have an end date. It has a start date. However, it states that the course duration is a minimum of 2 years full time studies.

Yeah very possible TRV issuance doesn't have to do with how far your start day is, in fact we have some people that have gotten the trv and their start date is September. What plays major impact in approval seems to be genuineness of your app materials, the volume of applications submitted around the time u seeking for approval, and having application materials that demands little or no background checks. All these play key roles in the processing time amongst others.

Ok, now i see the reason why u wanted a new passport. But the old one can still be used, it will still amount to my previous point. IRCC would issue d permit on it once it's not less than 6months validity. Your LOA not having end date doesn't mean anything, if trv is to be issued you will get it and later extend when necessary.

Hello everyone one. Happy Holiday to you.

I'm trying to put together the docs for my Trv application so I can submit by next week but I'm getting married (court wedding) on the 4th of May.

Do I wait till after the wedding Before submitting my application so that I can include my marriage certificate or do I submit my application and inform the Embassy after the wedding.

My fear is that they might require me to do a New passport.

To add to the advice you've gotten already.

@1st bold, Have her swear an affidavit of sponsorship. You already have good funding in form of your scholarship which should meet their requirements for the first year.

@2nd bold, It doesn't matter which passport number is in the medical form. All you need to do is submit all your passport(new and old) including the old medical form when applying through paper route or upload a scanned copy of your datapage alongside other documents if online.

3rd bold, if the professional courses is in-line with your intended program, you are fine. Include documents to show you are undergoing or have concluded them.

Your family members here in nigeria is a strong hometie. If you do not have any asset to include, do well to fill their names in the family information form and possibly add their birth certificates if you can.

If you intend to apply as a married applicant, you will have to wait till you can get proof of being married otherwise, you can apply anytime you choose.

Also, you can only send any additional document(s) to the embassy upon request. They will request a new passport when the expiration of the one you have is less than 6 months. If this is the case, get a new one before you apply.
