Great works going on here. PLS I want to know from this house. Am going for Postgraduate Diploma in CANADA. I have a 14 month old child that I want to leave behind. Am afraid the VO would be interested in my baby's welfare. At what baby age would they (VOs) usually allow to be left behind. I am already thinking of claiming that my baby is 2yrs old(added one year). |

Sugaro: I don't think it's a problem. Have read on past threads bout moms that stated they are leaving their little ones behind who had their trvs approved. Serves as a home tie too. Just state who you are leaving your baby with and that you will be coming back after your program to unite with your LO. @bolded. Serious bad market!!! |

Good evening people. It's a great privilege to have such a platform as this. I have read and learned a lot here and I am hopeful to share my testimony here soon. Now to why I am writing this. I submitted my application to the University of Regina for MSc. Computer Science since march 06, and all other documents were received before 31st March which was the deadline, at first the application status was "hold files till next Department intake". Then sometime around 6th April it changed to awaiting Department/Faculty review. I am nervous, because I have searched the web to have an Idea of how long it takes to get admission, so as to know what to do, 'cause this is my only application to Canada for now. It's been very hard to find someone who applied for MSc. Computer Science at the University of Regina for fall semester. I have searched everywhere, please help calm me down, as someone I love and respect just told me admission comes in in June, ha! and june go too teh for September Admission, please is it true?? Any one in the house please just shut me up with some relieving answer. Thank You. |

Sugaro: You don't need to complicate things for yourself, just state in your LOE how the welfare of the child would be taking care of while you are away studying, tbis is part of the hometie to your home country. Pls discard adding a yr to ur child's age. YOU DONT NEED IT. |

Ether4: They serve same purpose, SOP is an essay and LOE is a letter, the tone of composition is quite different. Once again they serve same purpose but to me LOE is more detailed, it all depends on who is writing and what you writing on. Below is a link to guide you as of what a LOE is. I hope this helps http://www.duhochoancau.edu.vn/en/find-country/study-in-canada/consultancy/item/640-sample-cover-letter-applying-for-study-permit-in-canada 2 Likes 1 Share |

Austinpee4: Thanks for your reply. I have thought of issuing the bank draft in Nigeria but I am not sure of the maximum amount one can export out of Nigeria. Who knows about the current CBN currency restrictions or limit of funds transferrable to other countries from Nigeria? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Eraytee: 8:09am On Apr 18, 2017 |
Ether4: U can choose to write both, SOP focuses on what u are planning to study, ur plans after study and all, let ur LOE focus on detail explanation of all submitted docs as to how it makes you qualify for study permit, ur personal assets, the totality of ur application, documents submitted by ur sponsor and all other supporting docs wud be duly explained. Let your explanation focus on how all you have submitted makes you qualify for d permit at the VO esteemed discretion 6 Likes |

PLS TREAT AS URGENT GURUS!! Thank you for your responses. Gurus I hail una. am going for Postgraduate Diploma that is running for 2yrs in Canada . My father and my husband are my sponsors. We have saved up 4m in my account over time and my dad has a balance of 5m in his account.(business account) Am thinking of transferring the 4m into my hubby's salary account (which is empty as we have been saving with my personal account) and fixing it there, get my tuition fee paid for one year and submitting SOAs. 1..WILL presenting my hubby's account with d money recently fixed, pose a problem? 2..I have also thought in the line of converting my account to joint account with my hubby instead of moving the money buh my worry is the impression it may leave on d VO, since the joint iss is going to be recent. N/b: I am applying in less than 10days |

Sugaro:why move the money into ur husband's account when it will be better off in ur account? I think it will be good if u leave it in ur own account (so the vo don't use personal asset as one of the reasons for refusal ). apart from ur hubby's salary account does he have any other account? if yes and he has some cash in it u can use it + ur dad's + urs. |
