Thank you bro for your swift reply, but am hearing info that some applicants are being given TRV without medical call and their programs are more than 6months. Does this happen often or once in a blue moon and has this happened in this thread before..

Thanks
This can only happen if an upfront medical was taken before submitting the visa application else have not heard of one both on and off this thread.

Good evening all.
please i was filling an application for a post graduate studies in a school in canada and the following question was asked:

Will you be resident / living in New Zealand for the duration of your studies?*

Yes
No

please what do i choose? i do not understand what they mean by resident?
is it permanent residence or what? i do not want to make a mistake.
Thanks

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Kranjar(m): 9:39pm On Apr 18, 2017
The police report can't be gotten on the same day if done in Abuja because they will still need to send it to Lagos for the authorised signature. VFS Global staff even told me that the police report is not necessary. I did not include it in my application.

Please house, how long does it take on the average to do biometrics, is it a rigorous process. If I arrive the Lagos office around 1pm based on my flight schedules, will I be able to compete the biometrics same day, I am applying via online route. Please this will help my planning.

That is exactly what the lady told me. She even said it is somewhere on the website. I will like someone going for submission to confirm the statement. I was shocked when I heard it.

meaning the wrong date is on ur waec certificate, rite? if so all u need do is go to a law court and get an affidavit to that effect, that waec made a mistake on ur DOB and u state the correct DOB (which is on ur passport ). I have same issue and that's what I did

@dunna: knowing the unpredictable nature of our local airlines(they could cancel your flights at will), i would suggest you get to lagos a day before your biometrics date and proceed the following day arriving early at vfs office(thats if you want to exit vfs office in record time grin). since you are going via the online route, click biometrics only at the ticketing computer(console) at the entrance of the vfs canada section. the vfs agents will ask for your passport /biometric request form(you would end up paying N460,well actually N500( for sms alert) because GTB agents wont remit your N40 change with their sophisticated looks grin ) and the entire process takes a couple of minutes.

My people, my people! Abeg, for those wey don send me mails or PM and haven't gotten a reply yet, biko no vex, i'm trying my possible best to revert back ASAP. I understand that you need to apply for your study permit soon. I'm doing my best to make sure i help and assist in my own little way with your queries and review of your SOP. It will gladen me to see that your application turn out well in the end.

The Ministry of combining plenty things at the same time and still finding time for oneself 'FIDN'T' easy! cheesy grin
but it is what it is! We all at some and various point got help and we must always give help!

Also, if we can share issues and question we have here, trust me, we will get different opinion and answers that will span our knowledge on the issue and guide us better as it will help others too in same situation.

Personally, i always believe that the sole aim of this thread is to HELP and get help too. Some queries have already been answered here, if you can be a little patient and go through a couple of pages, you will find most of the answers to your lingering questions. Thankfully, answers to some queries have been narrowed to a link and it's well detailed. On the first page of this Part 12, you will find the links

To all the GURUS and every other persons helping out here, mehn, una too much. I don learn no be small and still learning alot. Many thanks for all you are doing.

I truly hope and pray that at the end, all our effort, dedication, work done and zeal will bring to us our desires and truly give us peace of mind in the quest to better our lives.

God bless you all.

Thanks for your response. Based on my research, no university offers the program at masters level, only PGC and PGD. Can this convince the VO, please? Thanks.
That is a 50 50 but i studied computer science wit a 3.9 cgpa and wanted to go for PGD computer security and networking back in 2015/2016 and the only reason for my refusal was my course was not in line with my previous qualification even after paying school fees for one of the 2 years my friend with same course but with a 2.2 got his visa so as i said its a 50 50.....
