Nothing to fear sis! Pain killers will help ease the pain its only mild pressure you will.feel.there and after a week you may not need pain killer anymore self depends on how well your pain threshold is.

He did mentioned induction but when he did v.jay examination he said baby head is yet to engaged. so he will give me 2 days extra to see if labour comes naturally if not then he will suggest elective c.s... So I want to ask if maamas that have been induced babys engaged b4 d induction.

Bfor i was induced baby head was already engage. Please increase ur walking skills not leveled ground rather start climbing stairs cos dat wat my doc advised during my 1st preggy days. Also dont cease your urine wenever u feel pressed.

Part 4(Concluding part) BS
On Thursday my Dr said am 40 wks already that I shud come for anc next WK Thurs that if anything did not show up na to induce,I said no p but am sure b4 Thurs I would have delivered,he now said latest Sunday(@41wks,3days) it will be CS.I told him am not going for CS.
On 13/4,I went in the evening because there was no sign yet,was asked to stay on bed rest, Friday was given a drug to start the process,nothing showed up till sat morning,I started feeling contractions but not really much, ard 1pm,it increased but I was asked to start walking up and down,climbing stairs,they keep on checking me telling themselves am so so cm,later the contractions was so much that I could no longer handle it,that was 1:28am Sunday morning(Easter),I was checked and was told am ready,was taken into favour(labour) room,LA pushing started,I told the doctors my back want to break o,the back pain was seriously much,he said anytime I feel that backpain I shud push,this lasted till 5am,during this time,I will beg him pls give me a drug that can reduce the pain he will say is Jesus he can give me,told him I want to sleep,he asked me to sleep but for where,told him am tires that I will opt for Cs,a lot of things,I was praying during this time,but when I looked up and saw that it was 5am already,I looked up to the cross and told God that anytime I pray I always asked for my delivery not to be more than 10-15mins,God why is this taken too long,today is the day of resurrection, let the power of resurrection prove itself in my life,font let me be put to shame,at the next contraction,I pushed and my prince came forth crying immediately followed by placenta at exactly 5:15am on Easter Sunday.

Take high 5 my sister, economy is not smiling at all. Dz na my plan exactly. Mama talking about washing cloth diapers, d woman i bought it from said immediately u remove it from baby, put it inside bucket of water, wash as soon as possible, use hot water to soak it once in a while, dry under sun (all dz ll make it not to loose its color).

Please remind me how to take care of episiotomy site, had my bath after delivery without Savlon. Should I rinse again with Savlon tonight?

This was what I did.
Sitzbath: warm water with salt and savlon. Sit so that the site touches the water. You can sit for like 5-10 minutes. Then swipe with cotton wool and savlon to dry up the place. Do the sitzbath like 3ce daily.
Use your pain relieving drugs and antibiotics religiously.
Try to sit on a flat hard surface. It helps for when you want to get up.
Everytime you use the bathroom or change pads(which should be often so it doesn't get too wet or doesn't stay to long in there) use hot water and savlon to spray and super with cotton wool and savlon again.
Remember to wash from front to back when you poop and then spray and swipe again.

I did this and I was healed in like 8 days. And I had serious tears plus episiotomy.



Another thing, pooping might be kinda dicey right now, so chill on taking those omugwo akpu and pounded yam , instead opt for very light foods such as pap, tea and if you take swallows do so in small quantity with plenty of vegetables... Plenty.
Also just be guzzling all the fruits you can.
Hard poop plus episiotomy can send you to hell and back
Till your episiotomy heals... Then you can chow all you want

I have had both CS and vaginal delivery with episiotomy.
To compare the both.... It's almost the same.
By the 8th day the scars are healed already. The 6weeks is to ensure total healing where they give you Dos and donts.
Just pray about it.

Yes.. It av to descend dwn to ur cervix... D pressure of d head or d weight of d baby helps u dilate, u cn walk around...trek...so that d weight of ur baby goes down

How about mucus plug? Did the doc check if ur baby's head was engaged b4 d induction?

Lol ur description is so funny...so I wanted to ask...my doc and nurse asked me not to do d sitz bath...bcs d heat was going to melt the stitches... Dey asked me to clean d area with warm water and disinfectant... But a friend told me to start my sitz bath after my stitches av fallen off by itself...that way my episionomy site would av healed a bit..and wouldn't av d chance of loosening... That's OK too ryt..

Ok thanks a lot, I'd follow this religiously cuz I'd like to be healed in 8 days too. Was so scared to pee yesterday but strangely it doesn't hurt.

My bumbum is story for another day, it's so painful I can't even sit, I did the whole pounded yam thing yesterday as an Igbo girl with Igbo inlaws but I agree with you, I'd start soft food for soft poo or I'm screwed.
