Personally, the 'few' times l have attended Catholic Churches, l never saw them open the Bible to read a passage.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness member but l have taken extensive studies with them over the years (just my personal quest for knowledge) and this often repeated line is a lie.

1.) You can only say something is different/fake, if you have "seen and know" the original.
So, my question is have you seen the ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT of the Bible (most in Greek and Hebrew language), from which all other translations were 'made' from?
If your answer is YES, l want you to go and compare it, line by line with the New World Translation that the JW uses and tell me if there is any difference.
If your answer is NO, that means you are just speaking out of ignorance.
The honest truth is that (maybe l should not be saying this were there are some of these Muslim terrorists! ) in translating the Bible and over the years, some phrases have either been 'deliberately manipulated' or their real meaning, 'lost in translation'.

JW's have tried to give us a Bible that reflects the exact translation of the ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS.
Now, when compared to some of these "translated versions" commissioned by King James or some other powerful religious bodies, who have tried to "manipulate" certain phrases to suit what they preach or want the populace to hear, you will definitely see a difference.
The "adulterated" Bibles are actually those ones you think are original simply because they do not conform with what was written in the Original Greek/Hebrew manuscripts (some of which are still in existence till today)

2.) Praying before any Discussion: The truth is that Praying before any discussion is not a scriptural requirement (mind you, all am not saying it is bad!). It is just a CONVENTION adopted by some Christian Organisations.
Like you were told, Jesus had such discussions, Apostles also had such discussions with so many people in their time but not on a single occasion did they say we cannot discuss (or we MUST pray first) unless we pray first.

So, JW's have also adopted the Convention of Preaching first and rounding it off with a prayer (Or do they also refuse to pray after they finished the preaching?)

Many headstrong people who dont actually want to listen to what the JW's have to say, have adopted this method (pray first) to ensure "the discussion never actually starts. Nice move though ).

Left to me, l think the JW's should have been more "flexible" since there is nothing wrong with starting anything with prayer.
But they chose to end with a prayer only. Thats just their convention.
They are unnecessarily rigid in too many things, IMO, (for example, celebrating one's Birthday .... and dont give me that Bullshyte that Jesus did not celebrate Birthday, there are many thing he did not do, that current JW's also do...... riding cars and using A.C, are examples)

There are other areas of their 'ideology' l dont subscribe to but overall, let us state it as it is.

BTW: I have not seen any or many of them been arrested for armed robbery, looting treasury or most ot the other things that other Christians/Muslims get arrested over, on a daily basis!
I have not also heard about one of their Leaders/Elders/Pastors/Overseers, using the Congregation's money to buy Airplane (yet no Denomination preaches far and wide as they do!) or use Church money to fund romantic affairs with Oloshos like Stephanie Otobo.

I have also not heard them, for the time l attended their church, placing curse on anyone who does not contribute Tithe (10%..... you cant even see them contributing yet everyone does...secretly as instructed in the Bible!), or even as much as making financial contribution the 'cardinal' of the sermons, ...yet the church is not poor, expanding and their members are rich, without one silly "Devourer" eating their sweat or bringing them to penury, as other churches preach, to instil FEAR into their members!

What does that say about them (JW's)?

First of all that verse is not the one I said it is 4 the period. Am talking on verse you said concerning non Muslim.

Taking about beating, I will advice you to read the verse again. The steps and steps that has been taking before reaching that conclusion and beating doesn't mean you should carry cane and weep your wife. If you want full details of the verse and meaning I can give you.



Qur'an did not say you should not discuss with Christian. It says no compulsion in religion. Did I say you must be a Muslim?

There is nothing in the Qur’aan that suggests
that a man is allowed to bite his wife.

1 – The Qur’aan enjoins good treatment of
one's wife: she is to be honoured and treated
kindly, even when one no longer feels love in
one's heart towards her. Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
“and live with them honourably. If you dislike
them, it may be that you dislike a thing and
Allaah brings through it a great deal of good”
[al-Nisa’ 4:19]


2 – The Qur’aan explains that women have
rights over their husbands, just as their
husbands have rights over them. Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):

“And they (women) have rights (over their
husbands as regards living expenses) similar
(to those of their husbands) over them (as
regards obedience and respect) to what is
reasonable, but men have a degree (of
responsibility) over them. And Allaah is All-
Mighty, All-Wise” [al-Baqarah 2:228]

This verse indicates that the man has
additional rights, commensurate with his role
as protector and maintainer and his
responsibility of spending (on his wife) etc.


3 – The Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) enjoined kind treatment
and honouring of one’s wife, and he
described the best of people as those who
are best to their wives. He said: “The best of
you are those who are the best to their
wives, and I am the best of you to my
wives.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3895; Ibn
Maajah, 1977; classed as saheeh by al-
Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi .


4 – The Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) spoke beautiful word
concerning kind treatment of one’s wife,
stating that when the husband feeds his wife
and puts a morsel of food in her mouth, he
earns the reward of doing an act of charity.
He said, “You never spend anything but you
will be rewarded for it, even the morsel of
food that you lift to your wife’s mouth.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6352; Muslim,
1628.


4 – And he (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) said: “Fear Allaah with regard
to women, for you have taken them as a trust
from Allaah and intimacy with them has
become permissible to you by the words of
Allaah. Your right over them is that they
should not allow anyone to sit on your
furniture whom you dislike; if they do that
then hit them but not in a harsh manner. And
their right over you is that you should
provide for them and clothe them on a
reasonable basis.” Narrated by Muslim, 1218.


What is meant by “they should not allow
anyone to sit on your furniture whom you
dislike” is that they should not allow anyone
whom you dislike to enter your houses,
whether the person disliked is a man or a
woman, or any of the woman’s mahrams
[close relatives to whom marriage is
forbidden]. The prohibition includes all of
them. From the words of al-Nawawi.


The hadeeth may be understood as meaning
that a man has the right to hit his wife, in a
manner that is not harsh and does not cause
injury if if there is a reason for that, such as
her going against his wishes or disobeying
him.


This is like the verse in which Allaah says
(interpretation of the meaning):
“As to those women on whose part you see
ill‑conduct, admonish them (first), (next)
refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat
them (lightly, if it is useful); but if they return
to obedience, seek not against them means
(of annoyance). Surely, Allaah is Ever Most
High, Most Great”
[al-Nisa’ 4:34]


If a woman rebels against her husband and
disobeys his commands, then he should
follow this method of admonishing her,
forsaking her in bed and hitting her. Hitting
is subject to the condition that it should not
be harsh or cause injury. Al-Hasan al-Basri
said: this means that it should not cause
pain.

‘Ata’ said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbaas, what is the
kind of hitting that is not harsh? He said,
Hitting with a siwaak and the like. [A siwaak
is a small stick or twig used for cleaning the
teeth - Translator]


The purpose behind this is not to hurt or
humiliate the woman, rather it is intended to
make her realize that she has transgressed
against her husband’s rights, and that her
husband has the right to set her straight and
discipline her.




Don't deceive yourself. it is an article of faith to believe Jesus is a prophet. We are more Christian than the Christian themselves because we follow the teaching of Jesus more than most of u.



The reason is simple: All other prophet were sent for a limited period of time to some certain period. The message of the Bible is meant to be followed by the children of Israel before the coming of the Qur'an.

But Qur'an is meant to be followed 4 ever. Hence HE preserved it. For the past 1400 years it is exactly the same.
