TheSuperNerd:I am envisioning such a thing happening because his current path is not favorable. This is being realistic, he is out of people's minds as it stands. Even City fans don't know they have a player like Kelechi currently, so what are we talking about? If he stays one more season, his next club move will be to some Chinese league and that will be the end. the purpose of this thread is not to 'talk positives' about our boys. It is to state facts rather than sugarcoat the obvious. This is not the Cadet thread where we can go easy on them because they're kids. This is the Super Eagles thread for men and if some posters feel like a player is being lackadaisical, then said player should be called out. No be every time, you go dey sugarcoat. We've gone hard on Onazi here, nobody was saying take it easy then. Dem tackle Efe Ambrose finish, he don turn fringe player. Musa has been drilled to the ground on this thread, nobody was taking it easy on him, he's even on the verge of losing his spot. Baby Iwobi has been called useless amongst other things on this thread, And let me not even start with what Mikel has gone through here Everybody will have his day, let Kelechi enjoy his own too. There is no sacred cow on this thread PS: If something doesn't seat right with you, it doesn't mean it is 'rubbish'. I did not see any 'rubbish' at any time. I saw comments from frustrated fans of a talented player 1 Like |

There are some who always never rated City and till now they still don't.... that is a fact. Some don't think Pep is a class-act coach. And during the golden boy awards... Iwobi finished ahead of Nacho and we focused on voting Iwobi more while sharing some to nacho... this was done because Iwobi was closer to the top position when the votings began than nacho.... So if na golden boy you wan use... Iwobi also has more fans... looooollll But it is no hidden fact Naa.... Iwobi is hardly criticised here.... but Nacho gets the stick oftentimes... even when he plays, 10 pages can be exhausted just on discussing why Nacho failed to trap the ball in a game while ignoring that he also scored or gave an assist or did a nice move in that same game. But me... I defend Iwobi as much I defend Nacho.... I love them both and also show love and regards for all our Nigerian players all around the world..... this is why I do my best to give all equal coverage here and not make the thread only about Nacho and Iwobi. maidaboi: 1 Like |

She said being insultive and using unhealthy digs is the way to go naa.... about being unhappy with something... and I said... if anyone does that they are being immature.... how is that an insult? or being provocative? Is it now a crime to say truth? why would the truth now sound provocative? I was being very specific on one matter.... "how to relay one's displeasure of a matter...." Lemme ask you... using insults and unhealthy digs when showing how unhappy you are with something, what does it show? Maturity in this aspect abi?? jamel9: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd:I never said it was the way to go. I said, it is the way people have chosen to express their disappointment and they have such a right to do so. You don't get to determine what is mature and what isn't, people are different and will react differently to certain situations. Maturity is understanding that not everyone will react or see things like you do 5 Likes |

When Onazi was being labelled "finished".... you saw his defenders.... His name wasn't left to be soiled. When Mikel was tongue-lashed... I was the one who took the most hits as I stated facts to counter most.... I didnt sugarcoat for Mikel.... and I am not sugarcoating for Iheanacho.... Dont make it sound like Nacho is one bad player and has lost his mojo.... you are being too quick to jump into conclusions if you do that... Nacho is still in the game but his stock gas fallen due to little or no playing time... But he is not on the bench becos he has been poor or lost form... Pep just don't rate him... so I don't understand why you and others want so bad to bash him?? What has he done wrong exactly? what? I ask again what? Abeg.... u guys should leave Nacho alone... when he does something wrong... that is when you will be right to bash him and I will back you up... but not when he needs support with a non-playing time situation which is not his doing as he has never lost form or failed to impress majorly.... So I really find it out of place and order to start making fin of him or lashing the him when he hasn't dome anything wrong.... safarigirl: |

And to you, you think you can tell which I love more.... if I do at all? loooollll.... stop your assumptions and face the facts before you... Iwobi is hardly criticed here... that says a lot. Only theGoodJoe said Iwobi deteriorated and You saw the legions that came to Iwobi's defence... including me. Even Safarigirl have lashed Iwobi because of his social life and it was I who replied that Iwobi will never lose it... so who do I love more.. if at all? looollll... mister... you can never ever guess it.... maidaboi: |

They making it a point of duty to always poke fun at Kelechi's situation is as bad as laughing or mocking when you yourself are having it so tough and so bad in your profession.... It is absolutely discourteous. I know what I said.... and you can go ahead and quote the post.... but also quote the post to which I also replied so that the context won't be lost on others. jamel9: |

TheSuperNerd: I think people are genuinely concerned about Iheanacho because of the belief of game time being the best route. I think their digs and pokes is an Avenue to air out their frustration. However, I still feel Nacho is on the right path. When he gets his time, many will smile. Just as people hated the decision of Nacho joining City earlier. After he started banging the goals, even articles highlighted that the dad knew best. I asked, what of me? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by safarigirl(f): 10:36pm On Apr 27, 2017 |
TheSuperNerd:They are bashing his lack of ambition. We want him to want more for himself. The fact that he's just hanging around means he's doing something wrong. Kelechi could be someone's little brother or son on this thread, that is how some of us see him and no matter how much you love your little brother or your son, there is a certain trait he will show that will make you call him out and tease him until he drops it. That is how you show love, no be every time you go dey defend person. Some times, you stand by and watch others slam him, then you can drop a message of support and move on. You must not take on each slammer one-on-one, that is not love. I have not even started bashing him and you're already accusing me of doing so, just because I said you should allow people express their anger as they wish, i can only imagine what you will say when I actually bash him 1 Like |

I have been trained to understand that making fun of people's situations repeatedly is not a mature way to behave... So your point about people reacting differently doesn't apply at all. There are laid down etiquettes in human behavior and we must respect it regardless of opinion. I may not get to determine what mature is on a larger scale..... but I remember my training very well as regards "laughing at others" I hope we all are ready to be laughed at and jeered at when people don't really understand what you face........ safarigirl: |

TheSuperNerd:i have not noticed a repeated jeering at Kelechi, I have noticed a repeated jeering at thegoodjoe. Last I checked, he was the one who constantly attributed Kelechi's lack of game time to 'drills'. If he hadn't repeatedly made such an excuse, no one would mention it. So, I beg to disagree that Kelechi is the one being made fun of here |

I asked why do you and others want to bash him so bad...... Is that now the same as doing the actual bashing? beats me... I also asked what Nacho has done to deserve the unhealthy digs and "insults" as you called it earlier... but no solid answer. His lack of ambition?? Loooollll... this is a joke right? How is he lacking ambition when news went round albeit on a lower scale that He would have left for Leverkusen in the January transfer window but for some intervention of some sorts? How is he lacking ambition all because he refuses to complaon openly about game time or tonguelash pep like Toure's agent did....? The summer is not far off... let it come first before you are sure that Nacho lacks ambition... This is a player that has his mind fixed km being among the best in the world in the future.... so how his ambition is being questioned because he doesn't want to sound irritated when talking to the media is kinda funny to me. He is a young player and is yet to be established in the scheme of things. He can't do things the Toure way right now... he has to be careful.... Showing real love for one also means being wise about what decisions and steps taken will help and not hurt his career prospects.... For now, Nacho should wait till the summer then we will all see if truly he wanna be a Ballboy and training specimen to Gabby J and Aguero... (or any other striker/forward pep brings in)..... Me I believe Nacho will leave for regular football.... but right now... let him keep working... his attitude is just fine... he doesnt have to be rash in the name of ambition. safarigirl: 1 Like |
