Serious lies. Men are intimidated by the amount of wealth a lady amass, and her intellect. It has nothing to do with looking inward but how such ladies are perceived in the society. I don't expect a man who doesn't know his onion, broke and busted walking up to the likes of Chimamanda Adechie to propose a relationship. He won't even have the guts if he has the intentions. I guess social strata explains that. grin
You don't expect all of them to agree na...
On the other thread, some guys actually agreed they don't feel comfortable with wealthy ladies and one is here speaking on behalf of men. Na real wa!

Lol. He may not react. But those wealthy ladies are perceived to be controlling and disrespectful mostly when the man in question has less. In order to create a balance and not feel intimidated the man should always have more than his woman.

Nnem.

Men who are drawn to the likes of Adichie can be grouped into two categories. The first group are themselves independent, self-assured, and established the other group are very dependent, unsure of themselves and basically mama's-boy looking for women to care for them.

There are fearless men with little to no purpose or direction who are looking for strong independent women.

There's even a dating site for them.

Though the later have little chance of getting her likes but sometimes they do succeed.

The rest do not want her because of one reason or the other.

It has nothing to do with social strata, but everything to do with class.

Any man who knows himself well enough will have no fear in approaching Chimamanda Adichie.

Oh i see the point his making now ..
yes they dont like to be houseboys .. but not all ladies who have money have that attitude
So they just need to keep looking ...

If he has more good for him .. my own be say she must have hers to . So That way there is a balance "like you stated" and no one feeling funky grin

Its true sha ... some ladies once they have money like this lol its over you can't talk to them again in that respect e make sense ..

And what are those reasons?. My point is, if you must want a wealthy woman you should at least be wealthier than her with a certain percentage to be comfortable around them. Else, insecurities creeps in and the man would definitely feel intimidated at some point.

Of course it is choice not intimidation...Shall we extend this choice to ladies in all our fairness? Many people are also of the opinion that ladies despise broke guys, short guys guys...this and that.

1. It's also choice when a lady desires a rich husband, don't call it gold digging. A rich husband is a plus you know

2. If you're a broke guy and a lady doesn't desire you, look inwards too grin maybe you're one of those broke guys who give ladies the impression you have no vision.

3. If a lady wants a tall, dark and handsome man, it's choice. Don't tell her to mould him, they exist.

Millions of men in the world and you think you can speak for all of them? Coming from someone who hasn't met 1% of female populace but sat somewhere and tagged them whatever.

Which study shows NIGERIAN MEN prefer intellect over curves, please post the link? the same Nigerian men all over instagram, wankeen off with pictures? The same Nigeran men that will argue on sex and boobs till midnight?grin
Ehen, so guys...if you're single with no partner, look inward, the problem is you.
The men talking about sex and wanking off pictures of girls don't want to marry those girls, I hope you know this. They just want t fulfil their sexual fantasies with them.

I tell you this, as long as it has to do with marrying a woman. Most nigerian men prefer intellect to curves. Who wants to marry aa dull woman?

Most of these guys know the truth but they are just too scared/ proud to accept it. Same guys who oppose feminism, women in power, career women, independent ladies and anything that is against showing woman as a weaker sex are still claiming they aren't intimidated. Who are they deceiving? These guys are just cry babies who can't stand their egos been bruised. Nothing blinds the mind like self denial. smiley

Same reason why many beautiful broke poor women are still single. Being rich doesn't make you more deserving of marriage

Of course, class isn't only excluded to her as she was only used as an example here. Like-minds attract so let's face the reality on ground. grin

I'm very much aware of the embolden which isn't the point here, but if men are intimated by successful women and my answer to that is a yes.

Perceived? Or some are exactly So?

Also it does not matter whether a man has less or equal to, a woman who will be disrespectful because she has quite an amount of chedda will be so even if the husband has more.

Aren't there women who are stay at home mom/wives but yet are disrespectful when their husband fails to deliver financially or is struggling to?
