Tritri:...I think what is missing is for you to know when to STOP a loosing trade/investment. You should determine how much money you want to risk before you enter a market, with that, your losses will be manageable while you ensure your profits run farther. |

Tritri: As regards FCMB, where is Loco who claimed to know all and all about this stock and was almost swearing by the Q1 2017 results, what if that brought in some people who probably thought he was very sure. Only for him to go into another hiatus after results release. The first hiatus being after the release of FYE 2016 results. .... .... Well I think it is not so bad for FCMB faithfuls, There two major angles for looking at this bank. (1) FX (see below) (2) Loan loss provisions (I have no idea) (1) FX From the angle of FX. I think FX (devaluation...) is going to be the biggest story by the end of this year just like last year. FCMB got a lot from FX in 2016--> N29.3bn. See page 149 of annual report. That actually amounts to a massive N1.5 per share in FX gains. P/(FX gain per share)= 0.64. This is very significant. The total result didn't look so fantastic because of significant loan loss provisions. If they can repeat such a feat in 2017 FYE WITH SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED LOAN LOSS PROVISIONS, the stock could have something going for it. (2) Loan loss provisions The one thing that I do not understand is how their NPLs & loan loss provisions will evolve. This may be where all the fraud goes on. If I get a handle on that, then I can decide if to enter this stock. Anybody with such an info should please help. 2 Likes |

(FOOD 4 THOUGHT) http://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/10/couple-that-retired-in-their-30s-share-their-no-1-money-saving-tip.html Justin and Kaisorn McCurry fast-tracked their retirement by saving up to 70% of their income and putting that money to work. You don't have to win the lottery or even earn a huge paycheck to retire early, Justin tells CNBC: "It really just comes down to saving some of your income, setting it aside and letting it grow." The key to saving more than half your income, he says, is to keep the "big three expenses" — housing, transportation and food — as low as possible: "Look at those top expenses and see if there's any negotiating room." The McCurry family By cutting back on "the big three," the McCurry's can keep their annual expenses incredibly low for a family of five: at about $40,000. They stayed in the starter home they bought out of grad school and paid off their mortgage in 2015, meaning they only cover utilities and maintenance. In terms of transportation, "we kept the cars that we bought brand-new in college for 16 years and just replaced them last year," says Justin. As for food, they budget $500 a month for groceries. You can read more about how they feed a family of five for $500 a month on their blog, Root of Good. The McCurry's aren't the only supersavers who focus on keeping their big expenses at bay. "The Money Wizard," a 26-year-old financial blogger who has already built up $150,000 in savings and is on track to retire by 37, says a key to his high savings rate is keeping fixed costs as low as possible. "If you look at my spending compared to most people, the two main areas I save the most on are rent and car payments," says "The Money Wizard," who keeps his fixed costs at or below $1,000 a month. "I drive a 13-year-old truck that's completely paid off and I split rent with my girlfriend in Minneapolis." His perspective is similar to that of the McCurry's. You don't need inheritances or windfalls to retire early, he writes: "Just lots of saving, basic investment, and a desk job in the finance industry that places my salary barely above the median household income." 1 Like

Always carry out your personal research on any company you want to trade and invest on. Since I started using this method to trade, I started making it.( l am on 30% gain already, I prefer seeing cash gain every two to three days before going after the paper gain, i.e sell to have cash and look for new entry) I followed some people opinion to buy FCMB and Diamond bank when my research was showing red signal, also some people opinion makes me miss Fidelity bank opportunity when my research was showing green flag. 1. Always check the recent company EPS, compare it with their previous. 2. Consider the company dividend history. 3. Consider the company liquidity. 4.Remember to sell @ second or third day of full bid, watch the market to know whether to enter again or to look for another stock. 5.You can pay your self dividend, by selling a day before the mark down and buy back once after the mark down if you like. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

Base on the Dividend history and liquidity, first Bank has upward potential, they pay dividend higher than last year and performed better than last year.. I sold mine @ #3.60 a day before the result, am looking forward to buy back at price lower than current price of #3.17. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello guys, I would like to know if anyone here trades using ARM Stocktrade platform. I have accounts with FSDH and Morgan Capital and I am tired of Morgan Capital's appalling customer service. The only appeal is their trading platform but since there are many options available now I don't see why I should continue with a broker that you need to move mountains before you can reach them or resolve issues. If anyone is using ARM Stocktrade I want to know if the platform is as robust and user friendly as Morgan's. Or can anyone recommend another broker who has a trading platform similar to Morgan's. |

Trading on the nse with the help of this thread is very sweat until you make that big loss, then you start looking at comments here as ....depending on the loss,if the loss is in the region of a few hundred thousands, you stay away from this forum for 2weeks.if in region of millions then you stay away forever.where are our brothers?even the owner of the thread ran away.megainvest, agba,pa emma,born2berich etc they have left perhaps FOREVER. 2 Likes |

Relying on peoples personal opinions to make investment/trading decisions or not havinv a clear cut investment/trading strategy is a sure path to disaster. At best you should just use them as a guide but always make your decisions based in your own analysis and research. If you don't know how to you can learn. There are lots of free resources online and even people here who are willing to teach. To quote BullBearMkt: PLAN YOUR TRADE, TRADE YOUR PLAN. DOLLARTEX: 1 Like |
