Interesting to know Awaziem played for Elkanemi warriors of Maidugry. Sheybi they said NPFL players no dey move to better leagues.

Awaziem never played for El-kanemi warriors of maidugri, rather, he played for El-kanemi juniors of Jos. The same nursery club that produced the likes of Moses Simon et al . This is not to contradict the fact that the NPFL does churn out Super talents but we ain't gon distort fact just to drive home a point.

It is not set in stone that every player who leaves the NPFL will become a star, that is simply not how the world works. All the time players move to clubs and don't play. Victor Moses didn't play much at liverpool. We both know u have an ulterior motive of justifying the overlooking of NPFL players. Did Etebo pop out of the sky? That is proof that u can still find top talent in the NPFL.

I have no ulterior motive. Quite frankly, my life is not affected by anything NPFL or Nigerian for that matter. My comments are borne out of what I consider to be genuine issues.

Look at the number of youngsters that have moved to top sides without kicking a ball in the league. And then compare to the kinds of moves league players are getting. We have quality youngsters like Nwobodo who should not be in the NPFL in my opinion. Ideally, the league players should be the ones getting the big moves.

two strikers and an only two goals den get against MB that is 19th and one was a penalty. How much do they both cost again?

How much they cost? Lemme just say "a whole lot of money" wink

And yeah... Boro still owning City... even Pep's entrance hasn't changed that.

There was no better combo in City's attack this season than the one you stated few posts back... *KDB-Iheanacho-Sterling*

Looks Like City may miss out on top four if they don't take time....

Victor Moses And Chelsea Heading For The Title After Winning Battle Of The Blues

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea took a significant step towards winning the Premier League title following their 3-0 victory over Everton, with two former England youth internationals of Nigerian descent Victor Moses and Ross Barkley on parade at Goodison Park.

The first half started in glittering fashion with two moments in the box for the Toffees. Dominic Calvert-Lewin first hit the post, then Lukaku had a great chance to score but saw his effort cleared.

Chelsea were left off the hook in the 42nd minute. Enner Valencia directed a ball squarely in the box, but Lukaku failed to benefit from it.

Chelsea’s best chance of the half fell to Diego Costa, but his volleyed effort failed to hit the target.
Five minutes after the restart, Victor Moses had a chance to break the deadlock, but his deflected shot strayed just wide of Stekelenburg’s far-post.

The defining moment of the game came in the 66th minute when Pedro, on his left side, fired a spectacular shot from just outside the box to open the scoring.

Twelve minutes from time, Everton were exposed again. The Everton goalkeeper didn’t get a stronger touch after a free kick from Hazard and Cahill tapped in to establish a two-goal advantage.

Off the bench, Willian grabbed Chelsea’s third goal in the 86th minute when he delightfully finished off a great pass from fellow substitute Cesc Fabregas.

Everton duo Calvert-Lewin and Valencia went into the referee’s book in the first and second half respectively for fouling Super Eagles star Moses.

U should not have to be told that age plays a factor and that academy players come at a much cheaper price. If high school graduates could be trained to do a job what company would start their seach at MIT?

I don't think Pep said that (I stand corrected sha). I know he no longer even mentions our boy as one of his strikers. I know though that thegoodjoe says it alot when he wants to explain away why Pellegrini plays Kelechi and Pep does not. I'm sure he's looking for how to explain that as I type.

Guardiola played a two striker system today does not mean that is his style. He probably underrated Middlesbrough and opted to play Gabby and Aguero together. He was not planning to play that way all day because Middlesbrough has won only one game in their last 17 matches. If we were safe and well ahead early, we would not make an attacking change. That was why Nacho was not on the bench. If we were to play this system all season, Nacho will see more games.

Unfortunately, it is not. Remember, we still had Sterling and Sane on the bench.

Exclusive: Austria Vienna Striker Kayode Left Out Of Nigeria Squad For AFCON Qualifier Vs South Africa

Austria Vienna striker Olarenwaju Kayode will not train with the national team in Corsica this coming month ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in June, barring any last minute changes.

The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star may be in the form of his life but this has not impressed manager Gernot Rohr and his assistants one bit.

Kayode and his camp embarked on a media campaign after he was left out of the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly against Senegal in March, before he was handed a late call-up by the Nigerian Federation just to keep the peace.

The 23-year-old failed to justify his invitation during the training sessions and the match on March 23 against the West Africans, and has been omitted from the latest roster.

He tallied his 19th and 20th goal of the season in Austria
Vienna's 4-1 rout of Sturm Graz on Saturday.

I will never take Rohr and his technical crew serious, if this news article is true. You have players whom on current form and even experience are better than Victor Osimhen, Isaac Success and Alex Iwobi.

But if they are invited on the basis of promising talent, then I wish we ignore Obi Mikel and invite Nwankali.

Ignore The Captain and heartbeat of the Super Eagles midfield ??

Abeg... the point is flawed already.

Mikel -Nwakali... is not the same as Kayode-Osimhen/Success...

Mikel is a regular and starter in the Super Eagles... Kayode is not... haba!!!

Being honest. Reading things like this is baffling.

Iheanacho's running made it uncomfortable for the defenders of Algeria. I mean, is this so difficult to understand? Ah Ah. It is so simple.
Wait ooo, I am not understanding. As an attacker what should Kc have done other than the running?
