mcobex: the school didn't give me any letter to that. but the graduate studies department stated it in a mail "Thank you for your email. Please note that the tuition amounts are listed in your admission offer and that you will start paying tuition (ex. the first installment) when your program starts in September. We do not provide letters confirming when you need to start making payments. Regards, Hope this does it? |

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Its really been an honor being here and the selfless dedication is amazing. Please, I urgently need assistance for a friend who is trying to add a study permit application for an accompanying minor( (10month old). We are filling a study permit for the baby rather than a visit due to the instruction on UBC site : ""Minor children applying from outside Canada to accompany a parent for work or study in Canada should apply for a study permit. In general, having a study permit (rather than a visitor record) can make the immigration process run more smoothly for accompanying minor children."" The part of concern is the "Details of Intended Study in Canada" for the 1294E form for the baby what should be filled in the following sections: Name of School My level of study My Field of study Address of School DLI Number Duration of Study Please advise with what type of information to fill here as I someone once said leave it blank but the Name of School keep indicating required and for level of study should it be not applicable? Will really appreciate |

Try GT BANK master card, it seems theres a limit of $100 USD for online payments. If it doesn't work you might need to open a domiciliary card account with any bank, or if you have someone that has such an account, give the person cash while you use his/her card. Regards michaelbelgium: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Osemigho: 11:05am On May 01, 2017 |
mcobex: The school already say they don't give such. So, best alternative is to print email conversation with them and add it in SOP/LOE in a format like ...... Accoording to .....Tuition cannot be paid until resumption in September (attached is my email conversation with the school). If they doubt you, they can always confirm themselves. So, no big deal. 1 Like |

MY DEAR NAIRALANDERS THE FACT IS NOT JUST MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS ON THOSE CONDITIONS I WROTE EARLIER ABOUT THE TUITION, EVEN IF YOU CAN GET AN AUTHORIZED LETTER FROM YOUR BANK AND FROM CBN YOU STILL MUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CASH WITH YOU BEFORE EMBARKING ON THAT JOURNEY. 1.ON ARRIVAL YOU WILL BE ASKED AT TORONTO BY CANADA BORDER POLICE ABOUT YOUR TUITION, IF YOU HAVE PAID OR NOT 2. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRESENT MONEY FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION AND FEEDING YES IT HAS GOTTEN THIS BAD 3.IF YOU CANT PROVIDE THIS YOU WILL BE HANDCUFFED AND TRANSFERED TO A FACILITY WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE DONT WORRY YOU WILL BE FED WELL. 4. YOU WILL BE ADVISED OR THREATENED TO NOT SEEK THE SERVICE OF A JUDGE CUZ IF YOU DO AND YOU LATER FOUND GUILTY YOUR VISA WILL BE REVOKED AND YOU WILL NEVER ENTER CANADA AGAIN GUESS YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS 5. A PAPER WILL BE BROUGHT TO YOU TO SIGN AND MY BROTHER YOU WILL BE ON THE NEXT FLIGHT COMING BACK TO NIGERIA 6. BUT NOT TO WORRY YOUR VISA WILL STILL BE INTACT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIND YOUR TUITION AND GO BACK SO BEFORE YOU EMBARK ON THAT TRIP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION WITH YOU CUZ IT DOESN'T JUST STOP AT GETTING A TRV THE QUESTION IS: DO YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION? CANADA DON CHANGE |

here:I would believe that the main reason UBC stated that on their website is regarding minor/children of school age that intend to study immediately the arrive with parents. Your friend's baby is still very young and filling a study permit application may just not be the perfect move because they will be conditions on the permit that the baby must meet. However, IRCC also mentioned that minors already in canada(visitor visa) can go to school( pre, primary, secondary) without a study permit. With that being a plus, your friend should apply for a visitor's visa for the baby as an accompanying minor while filling his/her study permit application. There are opportunities to extend the visitor's visa as an accompanying minor.A major one is the fact that your friend will be a student and on a study permit. Find other useful information about accompanying minors on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/minor.asp 1 Like |

jj17cv: While it is true that you will be asked to provide evidence of payment for your tuition and accommodation the border agents will not handcuff you if you fail to provide said evidence. All travelers must provide the necessary documents before they will be granted entry into Canada if not they will not be allowed into the country. It is only when a traveler is deemed to be a security threat or has broken one of the laws that a handcuff will be used. Some nairalanders can be overly dramatic in this section eh. 7 Likes 1 Share |
