Mumtwins08:I believe you've gotten good advise already. To also answer the latter part of your questions, The tuition fees as written on your offer letter is what officers will use. Be it for a year or for your entire program. So calculate the naira equivalent of the tuition on your offer letter + a minimum of 10,000CAD or some excess of this. I think the 11m will be sufficient while the fixed deposit will give you a strong home tie. If you can pay your tuition, it will be a good move. All the best. 1 Like |

flow2davis:You should find out from your school the possibility of staying back without violating the conditions on your study permit pending when you can either pay your fees or defer till september. To have a student status with all it's benefits, you MUST be ENROLLED and ACTIVELY pursuing your studies on an outgoing basis. So weigh your options and decide on the one that will not incriminate you. 2 Likes |

einsteino:Ofcos. The reason your sponsor should even give you their property documents is to show you have some tie to it or show thier assets base. If you can show these through other things, you are fine. IRCC officers will be more interested in funds availability for you as well as your relationship with your sponsor. 1 Like |

samjumbo: Bros your case is very simple 1. the bedrock of every study permit application especially to Canada is MONEY, they want to really know that you ve got enough money to take care of your self during your stay in canada and this you have 2. what kind of degree are you applying for, BSC, MASTERS... if you are going for masters then you dont have a need for a sponsor all you gotta do is get all neccessary doc that shows how money goes in and out of your account which is your statement, if you dont have a pay slip make one. your marriage cert which represents your pledge to come back after your study we all know you are not coming back after your studies, if you ve got any properties, attach the docs to it, pay your tuition from here and attach the reciept to your application dont worry you will be refunded if you are not given visa but your chances are 10/10 getting approval, you dont need to own a CAC doc all you need is make a copy of the one at where you work 3. for BSC you surely needs a sponsor. 1 Like |

Seriously doubt that as money in pension isn't wholly available at once, I'm guessing your sponsor isn't retired yet. ebubedrums001: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by ebimila: 3:38pm On May 03, 2017 |
Hello People. I have a scenario here. Perhaps someone can help out. I am yet to receive an response (approval) from cic even though its still within processing time (14 weeks going) for a program with start date of May 8. However, i plan to change institution as i have a preferred option (admission) in another province for August this year too. So meeting up with the initial mandatory registration and orientation procedure is not an issue. But i still need to get to the first school (if visa is approved) to effect the change of institution as well as get refund for 1st semester tuition. The refund deadline on their website is 19th May. i am worried that the delay may frustrate these plans and i dont want to loose money that has been paid. Although im still waiting but i considering the possibility of deferring the first program to buy time. Another issue is that i have previously deferred before and i dont know if that would be possible. Meanwhile, the other program starts in August. Pls what can i do? |
