1) The Esan are Edo, we Edo, we love each other. there is no difference between an Esan and a Bini. Same blood. Edo blood. So your story is innacurate we are not fighting ourselves (Esan-Bini)

You guys are sounding like that pope who rejected the idea that the earth rotated arround the sun, because to him the earth was inhabitated by the children of God whom God made the center of the universe. So when a scientist would come up with a proof, the pope would have that scientists works burnt down and the scientist would be executed. Well, I hate to repeat myself, I already gave a list of Benin influence. Benin never enforced language, therefor that is not felt, except the word "Oba" which means king in all yoruba languages. And once again be carfull to always be precise when you speak. You mey have noticed that each "modern day" yoruba identifies with a real tribe: egba, awori ...
Thereforit is much more likely that the "Yoruba" in Benin republic identify with a real tribe and accept the connotation of being "yoruba".
