Pchinak:I beg to disagree with you sir. If you visit university hostels and halls of residences then you won't say that prisons are horrible. If you have ever been to some government owned hospitals you will know that they are not different from concentration camps. The only issue here is that he may not be able to aspire to any political position because he's a convict but even that can be fixed. If he nurtures the money well and makes returns he can still erase his criminal records. We have most of them in government today. So, for me, this guy is very smart. I envy him. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Stole 6 million, was given the best options there can ever be, similar to forcing him to choose between ice cream or chocolate, weighed his options, was sentenced 18months and no refund, was happy about it, showed his joy in court. Stole a mobile phone, tecno n3 to be precise, wasn't charged to court, been sleeping in jail ever since. Justice has been done. |

the business partner can sue him in civil court for the debt owed. a conviction is as good as an admission that he is liable for the debt. |

For all those applauding the convict, look at it this way: The guy just made it easier for the man whose money he stole to get him. All he has done is make himself an easy target for the owner of the 6 million. A couple of envelopes to the right warders and...you know the rest. Beep, does anybody think these days? Heck no. 1 Like |

Bonaventura: Hahahaha, don't compare sleep with death please. No one takes your human dignity and throw into the gutters in your hostels, no one can make you a sex slave in your hostels. Remember I said if the other guy is determined, very easy to poison you, very easy to paralyze you in there and no one will bat an eyelid. 2 Likes |

Why can't the judge ask the convicted to refund the money? A man is happy to be in jail for 18 months and gain 6 Milla. Does he think about the safety of his family while he is inside world? He can gain his freedom to become an unhappy man all his life if the man he stole from decide to exterminate his entire family 3 Likes |

9jatatafo:Just on point of law the reporting is false. In law the owner can take civil action against him and if he gets a judgment can enforce it with bailiffs if he identifies his property anywhere. This is such an elementary thing. This case was a criminal case and the court did not have a mandate for property recovery. This case was about theft prosecution period. The judgment of this case is what would for the basis of any civil matter It is called CIVIL RECOVERY It really is a shame the kind of intellect and knowledge level in our young people who go around claiming to be "graduates" |
