You are most welcome. Thank you for watching

Good day Mr. Chris,
I would like to remind you of my application to undertake 6 months Industrial Training at AWPS Renewables of which I submitted to the company's email sometime ago <ozigij@gmail.com>
I would be elated to get a positive response from AWPS as my Industrial Training is scheduled to begin soon.
Thanks as I anticipate your response.

can someone study my installation & advice me. in a bit to cut out MATE 2 & monitor my setup, the wiring is getting scaring and a kind of substation.

I need advice on how to tidy it up professionally.

I have 2 AC watt meter for monitoring consumption from inverter. the 2 AC watt meters runs my flat on two separate wiring; one to my DB for the whole house & d 2nd for basic load of LEDs, LCD+decorder, Rechargeable fans.

also, My DC meters ( thanks to oga JUO) monitors my batteries readings/current drawn from them and the other monitors my PV performance against CC Readings

I am kind of worried it is not professional. any advice please?

Hello yall.
Life is indeed funny. I put up a post for fullriver batteries for sale and no one not even one person bothered to call me. The said marketer called me and paid for all the batteries and now yall are trying to paint him in bad light. While one person was busing asking questions on the forum (which is not a bad thing in itself) without even bothering to call another one was busy transferring money into my account. Abeg free the guy oh. FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BOLD. Good luck in your endeavours.

@ Efuro,
Your installation looks dangerous!
That's almost how mine looked until my watt meter melted.
I used the same 2-core cable like yours to connect the watt meter.

I now have 10mm/16mm cables, but the wires are everywhere grin I'll get a certified electrician to trunk everything.

Get a bigger backboard and an electrician to clean up and redo all your connections.

See pic of an installation I did not long ago. Put all ur installation components in max two boards and draw ur circuit flow offline and critic it before transferring to d board. There is nothing lovelier than a neat installation, its even a safe way to go

Wrong conclusion. He's straight forward. Most of us have transacted with him before with no default and he has openly shared knowledge in this forum for us to learn.

Again, most of us criticizing him now would have done same, if we had seen the opportunity.

I am not sure the Sulkam 3.5kva inverter has the capability to charge flooded batteries, check the back if it has a selector switch for flooded ot tubular flooded and select this. what type of charge controller are u using? can you set equalization of 2hours every 2weeks or 4hours monthly?(you can do this manually on some CC like fangpusun flexmax). for your panel installation, make it almost horizontal or 6 degress facing south(almost flat) just like efuro said or better still get a professional installer before ur batteries gets ruined grin

Hello house,

I have a 3.5kva Sukham inverter system with a setup of 8 pieces 250w mono panels, 60amps mppt charge controller and 4 200amps batteries

The issue I am currently having right now are:

My solar panels are positioned in a way that after 1pm my panels aren't getting enough sun light due to the position of My house(the panels are placed on the roof of my house)

I have a problem with a Trojan battery as it discharges faster than the remaining 3 batteries

My inverter usually goes off at 2am in the midnight with minimal or no load on the system

When I'm on nepa inverter cuts off when there is drop in voltage..

I would like my honorable members on this thread to enlighten on how to get the best out of my systems..

Thank you all and I will greatly appreciate your opinion

In the posts, no name was mentioned and no identity was revealed until the marketer jumped in to identify himself. There are many marketers in this thread, so reference to "a marketer" does not uniquely identify anyone.

The posts I made represent a succinct and true account of what transpired between the marketer and I.

So where is the smear campaign in it?

Attached herewith is a screen shot of the actual Whatsapp chat between the marketer and I. I leave all fair minded people to judge if my posts amount to smear campaign.

Honourable OP. We are not magicians here we work with facts and figures. Gives us some and we would be able to help. You talk about a weak battery. How did u isolate the weak battery? Did u use a multimeter to test the voltage if you did share the result. If u didn't then do that and share the result. Might even be better to get a hydrometer (less than 2k) and test the gravity of those batteries post them here too

How about your average daily generation from your controller. Kindly post that too. Your panel are installed the wrong way? Which direction? which angle of inclination?

How about the panel configuration, how are they connected. In which string.. we don't want to guess work..
Also your load describe your daily usage. What and what are connected and hours of use.

Might also want to take some pictures while at it. If any f this sound strange to u. Get a installer on here to help u out. Provide data and we can help.

what type of charge controller are you using? and what are the preset chrging voltages.
when i was using morning star cc, once there is phcn, the morning star charging output will reduce drastically [prolly cos the inverter charging voltage was higher than the cc's voltage.------ who knows, long time ago it happened, and wasnt so knowledgeable]
now i use epsolar with charge voltage set at 15v, it never happens again, with phcn..battery bank will be charged at optimum rates simultaneously.

hope you know the 3.5kva inverter cant charge your bank properly, thus the solar panels should be your primary charging source [hope you used the correct charging voltage setting in your CC].
SOME BAtts in ur bank are unhealthey, try and isolate the bad ones, load test, use a hydrometer to test the sg of the batts, and ensure you rectify and equalize your bank frequently. you may consider changing out the trojan if you confirm its irredeembale

some inverters like full voltage 220v, anything below 170v, and they will stop charging and switch to bad mode...either get a 5kva stab...or buy a 10/15kva central stab for the whole house

@the fullriver batt issue, by stating 50k as his selling price, kiekie is indirectly telling us that we should always haggle& price him like market women, selling crayfish. seems we expected much more noble standards from him grin grin, i dont like haggling , but my few interactions with kiekie confirmed to me that he likes /is used to haggling,
cu0gumuo / richmond to mention a few dont use this haggling route, they go straigth to the point price....seasoned professionals

@kiekie i price your 250w panel u listed 27k, i need 6 units, my nos is in my signature, call me if game

I have painfully observed recent discus regarding kiekie1

it is good to raise & settle issues here. I subjectively think the fullriver ba3 @ 50k be laid to rest.

Have had customer-seller relation wit Sir Frankie almost on monthly basis & he delivers as per agreement.

with cash deposits to him, i have not heard issues of fraud or 419 case. if prices are not mutually ok, trade cannot occur , it does not mean one should paint one bad when the market is flooded with alternatives.
please let's by-gone be gone, and not post childish talk anymore and build cooperation across Nigeria through solar.

yup, laid to rest!.
a common denominator with kiekie, inspite of all the other complaints, is that he makes effort to deliver promptly, and no case of fraud recorded against him, hv transacted wih him a couple of times

this watt meter/kill a watt, seems the 15amp variant isnt in the market?...all i see is 13amp type.
am looking for led bulbs, not panels...seen some on konga 7w , 5w etc...but not bright enough for me...want to use them as security/outside light...prefarablly mounted on top of the fence

you're right
my watt meters are rated 13amps but I have practically pushed over 15amps tru one of dem without problems. I advice u immediately change follow-come ba3 wen u get a new one.

surprisingly, standards are abused in Nigerian market. I have tested those LED bulbs and found that they are NOT tru. they are fraudulently rated. 3w is actually 5.5w & dat 7 watt is close to 12w.

so bare in mind these erroneous or misleading information on LEDs in d market.

cheers!

hello house, whats your take on solar rechargeable fan rated 13w but has 50w charging power? is it better than regular rechargeable fans rated 30w with 30w charging power?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by DMerciful(m): 8:37am On May 14, 2017
The charging consumption is not continuous, once the internal battery is full, this consumption drops to almost zero besides charging consumption at 50w and 30w vis-à-vis time for the batteries to get full assuming same capacity of internal batteries will amount to same watt-hour! It just means that the 30w fan will take a longer time to get full. In terms of efficiency, if the performance of the 13w is OK, I recommend that.

@naaah, know too much physics to do that, though if its just lights, fan tv, frideg etc..you could still be ok, max draw for such devices is 2amps or 3amps, its steam pressing iron, sumo ac etc that one would get into trouble.

@led bulb, see the type or effect i want.
i know an ordinary energy saving bulb placed in an opaque plastic housing will still give same effect, but even the housing i no see am buy sef

Secondly I would like to know how to equalize my battery.. do I have to charge it without powering my system on..? I hope that doesn't sound too naive..

Basically my average loads include
3 ceiling fans
Bulbs
Samsung Fridge(which I usually turn off by 6pm)
