coolluk: And you expect winning a European league to have much sway in the selection of an African Player of the year especially when an African Cup of Nations was played in the same year? Should the English premiership hold so much sway and be a determining factor over the MVP of a larger continent that doesnt have England in it's make-up? Isn't this mental slavery and neo-colonialism? 3 Likes |

I can say yes, because no african player is more exceptional than Moses this soon-to-end season, and most importantly, he has won the league which may likely be followed by the Fa cup. Hence, he should step up his game and pray for little luck to receive the unfading crown of African football. |

LePrezident:and what did Mane achieve for his country at the AFCON? Was Mikel, an actual AFCON winner in 2013, not snubbed for Yaya Toure in 2013? You also forget that this is a World Cup qualification year and by November, Nigeria must have qualified for the World Cup from a certified group of death, thanks to Moses' contribution, as opposed to Senegal that is struggling to win SA, Mane and all. Abeg, na Moses get this award 3 Likes |

Kanu tips Moses for Africa Footballer of the year (2017) Former Arsenal forward Kanu Nwankwo says Chelsea flying wingback Victor Moses deserves to win the next CAF Africa Footballer of the year award due to his performances for Chelsea this season. Victor Moses has been ever present for Chelsea who are on course to win the double this season, as they currently lead the English Premier League with less than four games to go. They are also through to the FA Cup final. Kanu believes Moses has performed way above any other player from Africa this season, hence deserve to be rewarded with the award which is currently held by Algerian Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez. Former Arsenal striker and two times Africa Footballer of the Year, Nwankwo Kanu feels no African footballer is worth the 2017 CAF award other than Chelsea star-man, Victor Moses. “Moses has proved critics wrong. It is now left for CAF to do their rating. As for me, he deserves the 2017 CAF award. Although the season is still on and no one can tell what future will be. https://guardian.ng/sport/kanu-tips-moses-for-africa-footballer-of-the-year/ |

Well he has really done well for the club and country, but to merit africa best player of the year,he has not reached that standard of performance. However, since there is no other player in Africa who can challenge him currently, except Aubamenyang who has scored 28 goals this season but no trophy,he has the chance to win it. I fancy him to win it. 2 Likes |

LePrezident:if Moses qualifies for that World Cup from the group of death, a KO AFCON stage is useless. E be like say you no know how APOTY works, you just want an opportunity to register your displeasure with neocolonialism. Where were you when they robbed Mikel? Thank God that Hayatoi has gone, all this biased favoritism if Francophone footballers will hopefully end. If you want to mention a player that can compete with Moses, mention Mohammed Salah of Egypt, not Mane. 5 Likes |
