'Far' is a relative term sir. CIC expressly tells you that it takes at most 6 months from the moment you submit docs matching the requirements to the point you get a PPR. Some have had shorter response times...some longer. In this process, you will have to drink from the chalice of patience. yungreezy: 2 Likes |

Lochinny: So I heard. I wouldn't advice anyone to request for a remark in reading and listening though. But if you are very very sure of yourself you may. I'm requesting for a remark in writing myself. It doesn't hurt to try. 1 Like |

It's a process my dear. I only submitted my docs eapr on March 15th so my 6mths starts from then. If you get ITA and your docs are ready, you can apply quickly if you are in a hurry. ITA is just a milestone. yungreezy: 1 Like 1 Share |

Hi.......pls i read somewhere on here about filling a schedule A form if you ticked that you had previously been refused visa. Is this true as it wasn't one of the documents requested? If so where do we add this document? Thanks |

Heĺlo house, someone mentioned that Iqas is not acceptable in all provinces in Canada for work purpose. I.e those that use it to get PR might need to use WES to reassess when they begin a job search in some provinces in Canny. Please is this true? Thanks |

Pls i just got married and my wife's passport is in her maiden name which will soon expire by july. We are putting in for ielts. Pls should she renew in her maiden name and we back it up with marraige documents? Cos i heard change of name is a very long process and it requires you going to abuja and waiting for more than one month. Its also costly too |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by LordSebastian: 11:49am On May 16, 2017 |
Something you should consider is that the date of your marriage documents will be earlier than passport renewal date. It could cause eyebrows to be raised by CIC for example if it is renewed in her maiden name...if they are very observant. Except you have some other explantion that she wont be bearing your name. obitee69: |

But she wud write ielts in her maiden name |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by bbaby84(f): 12:05pm On May 16, 2017 |
obitee69: There's no big deal in bearing her maiden name. I still bear mine on my passport and I've been married forever. All you need is your marriage certificate and you can put some pictures to back it up If you're that worried ( never done the picture part though) Hubby and I have applied for visas together with no issues. Good luck. 2 Likes |

obitee69: bbaby84 is right, its no big deal, not everyone change their name after marriage. I have been married since 2012 and have my maiden name on all my documents including my passport, except some where i had it hyphenated, like bank accounts. I have applied for visas with hubby and kids and never had a problem, even traveled alone with my kids on different occasions and never been asked questions. Once you have your marriage certificate, you are good. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Onlineise(m): 12:40pm On May 16, 2017 |
obitee69: Both @bbaby84 and @Dammiehair were spot on. However, If you guys wanna change the name. It has now been decentralized, you can go do it at Ikoyi...it takes abit longer than the regular passports and cost more, but you don't have to go to Abuja. My wife did same cause we were in a similar situation as you are and panicked only to find out later its no biggie once documents are in place to prove the marriage. 1 Like |
