Elampiro baba, I hope you have now realised what Ibra brings to the team in terms of his creativity. All those chances missed by him which you kept lamenting about, where are these chances now? He created them in the first place with his linkup, holdup play and playmaking in the final third.

He's still Mourinho's best buy because he didn't only bring in the goals but his aeri
al threats, holdup play and creativity are also advantageous to the team as a whole. Yes, he's slow but so is Kane. The only thing is he's a grandpa and we don't know when his decline will permanently set in.

James is a 10, anywhere else he becomes a liability. Very similar to Mata in my opinion but since he is younger, a little faster and shields the ball better he should be an upgrade. I am not really over the moon about it like funlord because his type tends to struggle with the physicality and speed of the EPL.
There are other more crucial positions JM needs to strengthen so I am just on siddon look mode for now.

We can't be stockpiling AMs all over the place. We need true wing forwards and pacy CFs to stretch the defence both laterally and vertically.
If JM wants 4-2-3-1 next season I would prefer Mikki and one other person to compete for that position and if James comes that person would be him leaving Mata out.
If JM wants 4-3-3 I don't think James solves our problems, however if he comes then it makes sense that it is to replace Mata.
Having said all that Mata staying won't get me too bothered AS LONG AS FELLAINI GOES.

It would be so funny if we brought in Griezmann and James in the summer.

I mean both players are more or less SS and while James has some good crosses on him, only a player like Ibra could work with it.

We shouldn't even think of playing James in the central midfield because first, he's very lazy and secondly, all he knows about in that position is pinging long ball all over the field which is okay when it works but tiring when it doesn't. Rooney can give a better detail.

I watched his match against granada where he played in the central midfield and he looked horrible but his 2 goals gave him a pass.

James will never work as a CM ESP not in the EPL but he can thrive in the 10 role just behind the CF. However like you noted as the golden boy of Colombian soccer he has been spoilt from a young age and is naturally lazy and lacking in stamina.
