Thanks so much ma'am, i consume hot chocolate almost every morning at work so maybe that is the issue. I will change to water immediately. MIL is saying i should use flagyl and she wants to give baby too....na that one fear me sha. I dont want my baby to use it oh
Please no medication without doctors prescription. Some of these medicines do more harm than good. If you read the side effects of some of these medicines your heart will cut. Your baby will be fine as long as she is still eating well

Mama about this rota virus vaccine your points are very valid. In fact it's not compulsory to vaccinate kids some parents in the USA don't believe in it at all.
If you talk about naija government and their policies the vaccine is expensive is why it's not being given at local health centers . The government is not ready to subsidize payment for it.
Vaccines are also not 100 % foolproof. My first took measles vaccine but eventually had measles but it wasn't as bad as it could have been if he had not been vaccinated. It is well may God protect our kids from sickness vaccinated or not.

I love this !!! This is the whole essence of vaccination. My son took the 1st dose of chickenpox vaccine bt ws not old enough for the next dose when he broke out in chicken pox. But you know what, it was mild ! he does not even have any scar at all in his body. so the doctor said to me, had he not taken the 1st dose, it would have been worse.

Chychy4us, remember you had your other kids 9 and 6yrs ago! A lot has changed within that time and now. Too many things in the environment these days. Pls give our baby of the house the vaccine smiley

Please don't leave your baby alone with a housemaid. A creche (preferably a standard one - not someone's parlour) is better

No, it's like 200 naira or less, I can't remember for sure.

Please don't put hot water on your tummy oh. Maybe she meant drinking hot water/hot drinks/hot pap. That's what I did from immediately after they allowed me eat on the 2nd day and my tummy came down very fast. But I don't know if it will work if you just want to start now. You can try sha, we learn everyday

Ma, please I just want to correct the notion that it is not compulsory to vaccinate in the US.

It is compulsory to vaccinate kids in the US. If you don't, they cannot go to elementary school, either private or public because before you can enroll your kid in school, you need his immunization card/record. Those anti-Vaxx mommies are basing their non-vaccination of kids on aa discredited and retracted medical paper that linked vaccines to Autism. The person who wrote the paper even lost his medical license. And now because of the anti-Vaxx mommies, measles is now back in the US after it was eradicated.

My sis started at 3month+ but the pap should be a bit watery and prepared under good hygiene.

Dont mind me my punctuation was the issue here. I meant as a parent you can choose not to give your kids vaccines. Yes legally in the US if you want to take your kids to creche or school they ask for your vaccination records. But they still dont force people to take the vaccines, at the end of the day these anti vaxx momas home school their kids.Although these kids are homeschooled they still go to the malls and parks and end up infecting other kids hence the resurfacing of some of these childhood illnesses that were thought extinct.Thks for your observation.

Ideally four to six months is what doctors recommend but it is still based on your baby's readiness . Some babies are ready earlier than others.

Yeah, if it is very important, government will at least tell us to pay for it, after all they have tried giving free vaccines all these years.
In general hospitals, they don't joke with babies, our babies health comes first. Where as in private hospital it's all about business as usual.

Amen to your prayer.

Choi I just breast fed for very close to 2 hours. I feel milked, is this how the EBF use to do or am I the one that's doing it wrong. I read on google that you should feed until she acts full. She's finally sleeping again, I feel like I need to grab a massive bowl of pap before she wakes up again

Hmm u re a strong mama oh, I can't breastfeed more than 15-20mins. And before I start breastfeeding, I always grab a bottle of water and my phone cos I always feel so thirsty with the thought of breastfeeding and my phone keeps me going especially when I am not in front of the TV.
