I have mentioned this before and I still think there's no point setting up a whatsapp group for post ITA... How much info do you think you would have if every older member here with experience had moved on to a whatsapp group? How do you intend to answer questions with regards to eAPR, POF in the group when none of you in there has ever had such experience? Don't you think you still need to fall back here? This forum was created for and is still very useful and informative for pre ITA and post ITA... Even life in Canada... Let's try stick together here and keep sharing. I haven't seen any reasonable question asked by anyone (old or new) that hasn't been answered here. People take out time to give help based on their experience gathered from this same thread... Let's appreciate that. All the best everyone! lacord5: 15 Likes |

May 17 Express Entry Draw Invites Candidates With 415 or More CRS Points The latest Express Entry draw for immigration to Canada has taken place, bringing with it the joint-lowest Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off threshold of all time. A total of 3,687 candidates in the Express Entry pool — each of whom had at least 415 CRS points — received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence on May 17, 2017. http://www.cicnews.com/2017/05/may-17-express-entry-draw-invites-candidates-with-415-or-more-crs-points-059165.html 1 Like |

I don't think it's a good idea to create a Whatsapp group for post-ITA. It will be selfish to do so. Having gained so much from the thread before getting ITA and now creating another group is not the best. People helped you before getting ITA, help someone too! Human beings sha! 10 Likes |

Hello House, Please has anyone used ETX to process transcript from OAU Ife before. I need to know if they are authentic and how long it takes to help send result to WES. I will appreciate a response. I need to make some decisions. Thank you |

Good day all.please I have 2 questions. 1. I am using fixed deposits certificates and tbills as pof. Do I need to add my statement of account? If yes, I intend to print an 18 months statement as that will show the origin of the pof. Is it okay? 2. I worked in a law firm for 18 months. Then moved to work freelance with a fellow lawyer who has a registered consulting firm. I used those noc and years from the 2 firms to earn points in crs. Now I have ITA am having a rethink about the second company as the company is no longer in business but the owner agreed to write the required references for me. Now my dilemma is should I go ahead and apply with the 2 firms? Or should I remove the 2nd firm entirely and use only the first law firm and reduce my years of experience to just 1 year. Gurus in the house please come to my aid. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 3:05pm On May 18, 2017 |
MissShakara: 1. There is no harm in doing that. IMO, it only makes your POF more credible. 2. If you have used your years of experience from the 2 firms to earn points, you are required to provide references for them. Note that only 3 years is needed to get the highest points available under employment. 1 Like |

Thanks a lot bro. I will use the 2. Just that I don't want complications. I pray it works. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by LordSebastian: 3:18pm On May 18, 2017 |
For your second question, you can go ahead and apply using the two firms since the owner of the 2nd firm agreed to provide you with a letter of reference. I would also suggest you mention it in the LOE that the 2nd firm is out of business. To me, it is safer to do this than update by reducing your number of years. Reducing your years of experience will lower your CRS. If that is the case, just ensure your CRS does not fall below the minimum CRS score for which you got the ITA. However, senior people and gurus in the house may be able to provide you with a better and more useful answer. MissShakara: |

Boss13: It's actually wise to read the thread from the beginning and you discover that not only will you find answers to your questions but even discover issues related to you that you never had a clue about. This Nairaland group is sufficient for those about to apply, those in the process and those at post-ITA, There's no point reinventing the wheel. 6 Likes |

LordSebastian:thanks a lot LordSebastine. If I reduce my years to 1, I will be on 432. Just that I don't know the implication of reducing my years of experience after ITA is received. Thanks so much my bros and sis. |

Hello, am new to this thread. Am a medical doctor (MBBS) with 3 years post qualification work experience. Am considering migrating to canada through the express entry route, Medicine and Surgery is a professional course, I know i need to write Canadian professional exam to get a practicing licence. Is it difficult to get a practicing licence, and how easy can I get a job offer in Canada. What are the steps i need to take. Thanks |

eboziem: U can use jobs falling under different NOCs as long as they fall under skill level 0, A & B which comprises of skilled jobs dat qualify for EE. Note skill levels C & D DO NOT QUALIFY. |

MissShakara: congrats on your ITA. I have 2 suggestions. 1) use the crs tool to recalculate using only the yrs of experience frm firm 1 (1year) If the new crs is above 415,,,u may wish to move firm 2 to your personal hx section, provide reference letter for only firm one stated in the work hx section, and explain your reason for this removal while pointing out your new crs which is(if) above above the cut off. 2) collect the reference frm firm 2 as well and make sure u explain in your LOE that d firm has folded and give the status of the person who wrote u the reference. u may wish to notarize it. I think its best written on plain sheet and attach his personal details and/or bizness card cheers. sorry i just saw your subsequent post wit recalculated crs at 432..you are safe. 1) above is your best line of action. cheers. 1 Like |

eyoiba: What is the meaning of this your 'human beings sha'? So if I create a post ITA whatsapp group, we'll stop helping people? or you believe that there are no express entry/visa groups on whatsapp? Those people are still here contributing in different capacities. I am not trying to take away what we have here, I just want few people who can call up each other anytime and ask questions which need immediate answers....a more personal group. If you feel its not adequate, no problem, am not here to lure you away so please ignore. |

A friend wants to know if she can include her husband's niece along with her kids in her application..Is der any implication ? Maybe at the medical stage will they have to run a paternity test ? Someone should pls help.. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by eyoiba(m): 5:12pm On May 18, 2017 |
@ Lacord, sorry my brother if I sounded harsh. I feel that we should keep this thread intact so that everyone will gain. The fact that someone is yet to obtain ITA does not mean he can't learn from those who had. Everyone no matter the stage has something to learn. No hard feelings. Peace. 2 Likes |

lacord5: There was no need to answer him. Someone also advise that I read 0 - 50 when 70 percent is all about WES evaluation. Another person said it would benefit me because I have to search through for my own request. What they forgot is that people's issue maybe different and on the spot answer can save time and money. What is the essence of this thread if people cannot provide on the spot answers rather than referring people to read 0 - 50. You can refer newbies, but not those who already have ITAs or excepting ITAs |

Adeniyitob: I think you can only include your kids or adopted children in your application. Except she's adopting her and getting the necessary paperwork done, I don't see how she can add her. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Boss13: 5:30pm On May 18, 2017 |
Adeniyitob: Has she been adopted? If not kickstart the adoption process because you need to show evidence for that. They don't do DNA test for Medicals |

I want to ask if it is advisable to include my Part-time Msc (i am not claiming point the Msc) under Post-ITA education and personal information as ive been on it for the past five years (Unilag wahala). Hope it wouldn't raise any flag? I'm concerned the omission might be regarded as misinterpretation. |
