What exactly do you need money for? BTW, 6,900 is way too much for cert of fitness, you can get it for a lower price if you ask around.

Young lady, you've got potential power in you. You will raise future generations.
Its not everything you bring online to solicit for funds.
Even underwear, sanitary towel, bucket, sponge?
If it were something life threatening, it would still be understandable.

It would have been better if you opened a thread asking people to help you with odd jobs before your camp. We've got caterers and event planners on NL, and a lot of other service providers that may need help or have a link. People may even then voluntarily offer help if you get no offers.

Please don't let desperation make people question your values and how it was imparted.

Don't take this the wrong way. Its an advice I would give a sister.

I keep getting banned whenever I try to reply you. Wanna know the truth? , I as a mother will feel like a total failure if after spending money training my daughter through university and she goes online to beg money for sanitary towel, buckets etc cos she either is too lazy or not smart enough as to think of ways to earn that money. Good luck to you girl.

I'm very sick now and I was posted to kastina,I don't think I will be able to make it though I'm not 100% sure. I will remobilize by October to go with batch B but I will sure get something to do before October so I won't have to come here to solicit for help.But it has always been my dream to learn fashion designing so I can stand on my own before white collar job

So You've given up already? Most of the things You listed are things You can do without. Why not get the basic stuff and go to kastina.

I don't know about now, but during my time we got paid barely a week into camp. You don't have to worry about feeding etc, they all there.

They will pay you allowee while in camp and there's free food so why all this? If you have your transport fare to NYSC Camp and little change for toiletries like S. P then all those things on your list are irrelevant

This your advice is too harsh and sound more of an insult than advice. She asked for an assistance, if you don't have to offer, you keep mute than trying to make her feel bad for asking for help. I have never seen where it is a crime to ask or solicit for help. She has summoned up courage to do this, let those who can assist her do so without you discouraging them.

Never allow situations around you determine your success, let your goal be success success and success. Don't worry, all those your needs will be supplied to you by faith, that I can assure you of. Except for your mums health, don't give up on your posting. I served in katsina, and I tell you, you can survived there, with a well planned budget. God bless and favour you amen. thanks so much ma,I really appreciate. I'm on medication right now and can't even close my eyes because I feel pains in them. They said it is not advisable to travel now ,I will wait till October to revalidate because I'm not the one typing any longer.All my system is weak now.
Thanks alot I'm really grateful.I think I would just go to a fashion school to sign six months just to become a better person before i go for service and also to while away time. I think with my skill,I will be able to survive during and after Nysc.

I appreciate Sir but the way I am now I'm really down with fever and it is not advisable to travel for 22hrs,even family won't hear of it.Its better to have late service than to be late. Everything I've been hearing here just weakened me.
I just felt since that's what was posted on the Nysc chat, that's all I will be needing and since that's what my friends have been getting also.
I was born and bred with a silver spoon but what can one do when life gives More than I can chew.Mum sponsored my education and she squandered her shop on my education. Now that it has been advised she shouldn't do catering work for now(more like cooking for events).I just need to find a way out but people really think its easy or one is lazy.Coming back home is the only regret I have as there r no opportunities here but I had NO choice then.

The person I talked to has responded and she understood what I was saying. If you think its an insult to ask someone to think of another way of raising money rather than soliciting, then that's your cup of tea.

There are always other dignifying ways of getting money. People allow desperation to cloud their judgements most times. There's nothing life threatening about the reason she requested for assistance, what will happen if she defers and sorts herself out to join the next batch? Does it mean her set that finished service some months before she does automatically have an advantage over her, especially in Nigeria?
Anyway, people hate hearing the truth.
