tbaba1234:My very honest opinion about Henry Onyekuru is that he needs to learn very fast the art of 'team play'' as he gets close to the EPL or moves to a better Club/League. He needs to stop been overly selfish. I know that as a striker you need a certain degree of selfishness with the ball to deliver the goals. However, from the clips I have watched about him including this very one, he tends to hold onto the ball too much even when it is evident he should have passed to a better placed team make. If he had done this before now, his average assist could have been far better than what he has done. He needs to go to a team with the Coach that is determined to work with him to polish his game. English defenders will be so merciless with him. Henry has shown great potential and promise in the just concluded season. He deserves all the attention he is getting at the moment. I just have a feeling he will be a big hit in any league he moves to. Waiting for him to score on his debut. 2 Likes |

Which is why I don't think England should be his next destination. Right now he has a high degree of self-belief, which can plummet easily in England. He is talented no doubt. I can compare him to Messi to some extent. But Messi has that all-round quality -- a great team player. terzurum5: 1 Like |

Argentina U20 humiliate Guinea U20 Lautaro Martinez (L) of Argentina in action against Mohamed Camara (R) of Guinea during the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2017 group A soccer match between Guinea and Argentina at the Jeju World Cup Stadium in Jeju Island, South Korea, 26 May 2017. EPA/WALLACE WOON by Austin Ditlhobolo Argentina thumped Guinea 5-0 in the 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup Group A match at the Jeju World Cup Stadium in the South Korean city of Seoqwipo on Friday. The defeat sees the Young National Elephants slip down to the bottom of Group A standings, while the Young White and Sky Blue move up to the third spot. The Young White and Sky Blue fired the first warning when Marcelo Torres placed his effort over the Guinea goalkeeper Camara Sekouba's goal-posts just a minute into the match. Lautaro Martinez thought he had given Argentina the lead three minutes before the half-hour mark, but he was ruled offside as the South Americans continued to press the Young National Elephants. The Young White and Sky Blue did take the lead when Torres beat Sekouba with a decent finish to make it 1-0 in the 33rd minute as Argentina's pressure finally paid off. It was soon 2-0 to Argentina as Martinez hit the back of the net with a good right-footed shot with Sekouba well-beaten in the 42nd minute. Argentina were leading 2-0 during the half-time break. The Young White and Sky Blue continued their dominance in the second-half - applying some pressure on the Young National Elephants defence which was led by Camara Mohamed. Just five minutes after the restart, Matias Zaracho extended Argentina's lead when he hit the back of the net to make it 3-0 to the South American side with Guinea defence exposed once again. Mohamed Camara Aly, the Young National Elephants defender, was booked in the 69th minute as Argentina continued to pile pressure on the African side's defence. The Young White and Sky Blue were running riot as they made it 4-0 in the 73rd minute and this time it was Marcos Senesi, who put his name on the scoresheet. Martinez then completed his brace in the 80th minute with a decent finish and the striker's goal sealed Argentina's emphatic 5-0 victory over Guinea. http://africanfootball.com/news/710830/Argentina-U20-humiliate-Guinea-U20 |

Joebie:Where else do you want him to go, La liga?, let's not be too critical cos no one knows the future, if English teams are coming for him and he has d zeal to lay there let him move , pls let's hold our thinking to ourselfs. You can't use ones situation to judge another, cos Musa n success flopped doesn't mean henry will flop too. |

Seriously looking at him during those U17 days, I saw a player with so much hunger. He was progressing well in Spain. It's just my opinion that England is like a dreamland for many of our players. And it's not doing them good. I blame EPL fanaticism. Many of these players were already fans of EPL teams even as kids. They need some objectivity as professionals. chrisooblog: |

I think Onyekuru speed and intensity suits English football. The only question is power otherwise he will be fine in England. When Henry started at Arsenal, he was terribly selfish but got better with time. 1 Like |

All You Need To Know About Corsica, Super Eagles Opponents In Tomorrow’s Friendly 0News, SportsMay 25, 2017A+A-EMAILPRINT All You Need To Know About Corsica, Super Eagles Opponents In Tomorrow’s Friendly The Super Eagles will tomorrow, Friday play against the National Team of Corsica in an international friendly match in preparation for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa. The Nigerian National Team arrived Corsica on Tuesday, 23 May and have had series of training sessions. Super Eagles defender, Elderson Echiejile said he expects a tough match against Corsica. “I know a bit about them when I was here in France. Most of their players play in the Ligue One so I expect a tough challenge from them,” he said. But many will be wondering, what country is this? which continent it belongs too? where have they been all this while? Now this is all about Corsica and its national team. Corsica is an island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 13 regions of France. It is located west of the Italian Peninsula, southeast of the French mainland, and north of the Italian island of Sardinia. A single chain of mountains make up two-thirds of the island. While being part of France, Corsica is also designated as a territorial collectivity by law. As a territorial collectivity, Corsica enjoys a greater degree of autonomy than other French regions; for example, the Corsican Assembly is able to exercise limited executive powers. The island formed a single department until it was split in 1975 into two departments: Haute-Corse (Upper Corsica) and Corse-du-Sud (Southern Corsica), with its regional capital in Ajaccio, the prefecture city of Corse-du-Sud. Bastia, the prefecture city of Haute-Corse, is the second-largest settlement in Corsica. After being ruled by the Republic of Genoa since 1284, Corsica was briefly an independent Corsican Republic from 1755 until it was conquered by France in 1769. Due to Corsica’s historical ties with the Italian peninsula, the island retains to this day many elements of the culture of Italy. The native Corsican language, whose northern variant is closely related to the Italian language, is recognised as a regional language by the French government. This Mediterranean island was ruled by various nations over the course of history but had several brief periods of independence. Napoleon was born in 1769 in the Corsican capital of Ajaccio. His ancestral home, Maison Bonaparte, is today used as a museum. The Corsica national football team is the unofficial football team for the island of Corsica, France. It is not affiliated with FIFA or UEFA. Until now, the selection has played against national teams only three times : in 1967 against France, in 1998, just before the 1998 FIFA World Cup against Cameroon (as a preparation game for the Lions Indomptables), and more recently in 2009 against Congo. In the past, the selection has also played against club teams, as in 1962 against OGC Nice, or Stade Reims in 1963. The match against Congo was organized by the CFA (Corsica Football Association). In order to be called up for the team, a player had to fulfil two conditions: having at least one parent or grandparent from Corsica and being a professional player or being part of a professional club. The match against Nigeria Super Eagles will be played at the Stade François Coty in Ajaccio http://www.nta.ng/news/20170525-corsica-super-eagles-football-match-friendly/ 1 Like |

Hmmmmm.... nice line-up.... although would have loved to see Alampasu in goal. Looks like a 4-3-3 or could easily be a 4-2-3-1 also.... Iheanacho is the CF, Onyekuru is the LWF (or LMF/L-AMF in 4-2-3-1), Musa is the RWF (or RMF/R-AMF).... In midfield, Alhassan is the no.10.... Etebo and Mikel Agu are the central midfielders... with Mikel Agu occupying the dmf role and etebo in the CMF role I think... or in a double pivot with Mikel Agu just like he had with Onazi (against Algeria with Mikel Obi in front...). In Defence... very straightforward... Ebuehi as the RB, Echiejile as the LB and Captain for the day... and Awaziem pairs Ekong in Central defence.... Looks very interesting... really hopes the team clicks today as we are seeing Debuts for the likes Of Ebuehi, Awaziem, Onyekuru, Alhassan and Mikel Agu.... Five debutants people..... Ezenwa may be a debutant too for the main Super Eagles side but he had featured for the Home-based Eagles right? I think so...... Chan 2016 comes to mind. |

Looollll.... americans and cliches... u got a good point. Loll And yeah... the game is said to begin 2000 hours which translates to 8pm.... Now if 8pm refers to the local time in Corsica, then we should be expecting the game by 7pm as they may be one hour ahead as Paris is also one hour ahead of Nigeria. But Paris is not Corsica shaa.... So let's just stick to a time between 7pm and 8pm... I think. BascoVanVeli: |
