There was wailing and commotion at the popular Julius Berger axis of the Sani Abacha Expressway, when a pathfinder jeep knocked down a little kid going to attend the Children Day Party organized by the headquarters of the Bayelsa State Redeemed Christian Church of God in Yenagoa.

The victim, Joshia, 4years from Ekeremor LGA, Bayelsa State was going with his 7years older brother when he was hit by the motorist from Ogbia while crossing the Expressway.

His parents and other relatives were spotted crying helplessly on getting the information, as the motorist rushed the child to an undisclosed hospital.

As much as i don't really know what happen it ll be too hasty for me to blame the driver, however some kids can play on the road like they are on the bed.....not all accident is caused by drivers other road users can be the real issue here.....i pray for his quick recovery thank God no life was lost Sha.

It's amazing the lengths parents go allowing their young kids to ply on roads all by themselves. Almost knocked down one 4 days ago. Mother was chatting along with her friend while her daughter suddenly ran across the road with me almost crushing her to bits. This is nothing though compared to what I see most mornings with kids below 6 years going to school all by themselves on busy roads. Shudders

if you drive regularly, u wldnt ask if d driver was blind. Just thank God for both lives and wish d little boy quick recovery. It coulda been worse, who knows

He can still become a Ronaldo. It's not as bad as it seems. Looks like Spiral fracture of mid femoral shaft from the radiograph with possible dislocation at the left acetabulum. A good orthopaedic surgeon can fix that. He is still young and it's possible he,d grow with no deformity if it's reduced correctly.
