Is there a Tivi nigerian to teach us some Tivi here, including how they call themselves? Besides, they must have lost much of their Bantu vocab by now and acquired others from their neighbors.

I think it's one of those academic terms like Niger - Congo, Congo - Benue, Nilo Saharan and the like. They must share some bantu elements though, since the cradle land of bantu peoples is in the region around the Cameroon /Nigeria border.

what makes me happy is that most of you nigerians in nigeria dont actually realise that you are arguing with your fellow nigerians who live in kenya...i mean some people like kenyanstar can speak better pidgin english than swahili...nobody speaks those wired swahili words that some of these wannabes write here .anyho bieng a kenyan who studied abroad and has come back home and lived with alot of nigerians let me sumarrise nigerians for all ye kenyans:

1)60% of nigerians have never seen a class room and make sure you get into an argument with a learned nigerian...the uneducated ones ...most argument turn into violence...even the simplest of arguments.

2)when it come to basic amenities eg food, drink, nigerians very generous..actually they get angry when they hear a fellow black man has not eaten all day and will do anything to make sure that you have eaten.

3)the igbo community has the most stummerers and the most drugdealers ...but in general nigerians and drugs are like teeth and saliva.

4)Nigerians fight to kill each other...unlike we kenyans we might fight to gain respect ...these people when they fight they will use anything they see on you ...i mean anything.

5)they will stand out for a black man nomatter what....one time in london i got racially abused and my nigerian brodas (i dint know them )stood up for me in the most of fiercest of ways.

6)they the noisiest.....even in the bus ...they will pick a call and talk as if they talking to someone on the next bus.

7)peeps from the state of edo have no regard for human life whatsoever...kenyans stay away from them.

Nigerians have no bro code....they can share a meal with you and the next minute steal from you ...they even dont trust each other.

9)they believe in fast money...to them all they talk is to "blow" (pidgin for made it) thats why drugs is the order of the day....

10)They will kill ,steal ,rape ,sell drugs ,traffick humans .....but at the end of the day they will always remember to pray...as funny as it sounds they beliver in that god regardlesss of their vices.


11)1 in every 10 nigerians smoke weed.

Adebayo grow up in nima accra ghana. sure is parent are from igbeti osun state nigeria. Adebayor relocated to togo when his parent decide to change enviroment. Adebayor speak yoruba ,hausa ,twi fluently.may be ewe i cant say. Adebayor will be proud to call himself a ghanian rather than togo. He only choose togo because of his football career.

Holly I beg to disagree with you. English is a germanic language. It was simply a dialect of german that went through 'latin-ization' and 'celtic-ization' as the Anglo-saxons left the germanic speakers and mixed more with latin- derived languages speakers and celtic languages speakers. ***** I don't see how that was akin to 'pidginization' of the language.

Daaaah. Kenya is a well-planned country than Nigeria from what i can see. Buh it seems like Kenya's influence does not exceed east-africa.



***Also i would like to ask Kenyans here***, why does it seem like their social/entertainment industry is not so influential? It would have been definitely lovely to see Kenyan (African) movies featuring these aesthetically pleasing sceneries as are been featured here.
I may be wrong though, so lemme speak for myself in case such exist, just haven't or would say hardly come across quality Kenyan entertainment.

americans do not only study yoruba. they also study ifa. there is a proposal to establish an ifa university in the usa. the mode of instruction will be online and the school will be regulated by the relevant authority.
